- VW Touareg front headlight daytime running lights DRL LED chips board tube replacement.
The DRL are not bright or yellow, because the DRL or tube is burnt out, we only need to replace them separately. There is no need to replace the entire headlight.

For anyone reading this. I was able to do this DRL replacement and what I can say is it is NOT easy
one wrong move and you can break the lens or casing took about 4 hours to open one light because they are Permaseal units a regular headlight takes me 10 minutes to open in comparison... Highly recommend a good retrofitter in your area or country to do the job
I could make a video on this if anyone wants to know more about this DRL replacement as I see its an discussion on some old forms online

So is it the LED tubes or the LED circuit boards ? Currently have an customer with the same issue I told him its the tubes however something is telling me it is mostly the LED circuit boards it self
We recommend replacing the LED and tube together. Because all the problems are that the LED generates heat when working for a long time and burns itself and the tube.
sure if you can be sure that the tube is not burned out, then only need to replace the LED
Do you need to replace systematically also the board + the tube or just the board or the tube
Replace according to actual situation. Sometimes it is only necessary to replace the LED board ( DRL not working dimed). Sometimes the LED baord & tube are replaced together. （turn yellow). 90% of cases we will replace the LED & tube at the same time. All kits are plug and play.

Could i ask what the part number is for the one you changed i have a 2016 uk spec with the led strip/ tube not working
