He have a few of the signature with lace at home.. Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton is with Lace (from the start - ca 2001) and with Noiseless (from ca 2001- now)..
This Strat is his flame maple neck version. He played this one back in the early nineties. He then told Fender to stop making them. I don't why since it's probably one of the best sounding Strat's he's ever played.
@Bigbluesboy i have played both old and new clapton's i own a old clapton with lace's ..and played a high end custom clapton witht the noiseless....to my ear the noiseless sound a little brighter and sharper more refind top end...the lace's have a better midrange ..for example listen to that solo @ 4:35 if he was playing with noiseless pickups it'd be so much brighter
