I don't think flame grant me strength and black flames protection stack with each other. They're both body buffs, so which ever one you casted last was the one you were under the effect of. The 1st one you cast got cancelled by the 2nd

Thanks for the help...i screwed myself out of any help besides my mimic tear but it held out long enough for me to get it done. Guess its time to ng+ for the fifth time and do the companion side quests correctly.
He's hard but I ld rather fight this boss then Malenia tbh. His first fase can be beaten entirely with 1 proc of scarlet rot & then blocking almost all his dmg so you have all flasks for fase 2 ;) Sadly his second fase cant be beaten with 1 scarlet proc... first off all he s more mobile & resistant to it , so it takes longer to get him rotting. Second off all , it will only take 90% of his remaining health so you have to do 10% dmg without rot. Holy damage negation & a shield are your friends. When entering the fight, move right while blocking to tank the gravitation spinning charge, so the summoned helper doesnt get smashed in his face and only summon mimic after this attack. Summoning mimic on entrance makes you too late for the gravitation spin attack & might end the bossrun in the first second...
I beat the whole DLC (him included) with Lightening Zweihander with Lion Claw (lvl 168 full dex) and a mimic tear. 70dmg negation all out (lvl 19 scadu) and not even heavy armor Lion Claw spam for stagger works amazing! Golden Vow buff and Opaline Tear for some extra defensive buffs Take the most flask with you for HP and just 1 for FP!. Shard of Alexander nets around 2.500 dmg per Lion Claw lol EDIT: changed Zweihander to Fire knights Greatsword (also lightening infused) with Lion Claw because of the higher AR = around Rose of Bud boss area
@@chblegendary165 No skill Ash of war, required so that you can use Ash of war of your weapon. You can buy it in volcano manor from the Knight in the hall. If everyone has left the volcano manor , you can find his sword on the chair in the hall. You would also need to upgrade the shield to get 100% holy negation.
His design is lazy. He also is just straight up less cool than the base game version. In the base game he does a ton of really cool gravity attacks but the dlc one has like 2 gravity attacks and then he turns into a priest for phase 2 with multiple chained aoe attacks

Friendly tip, always drink flask first then golden vow then flame grant me strength as that is the order of how long they last

What the heck is "Bloodfiend's BLOOD Arm?" Not listed in the wiki. I have "Bloodfiend's Arm," but it has no blood loss(?).
