The dual degree program runs for five years. I guess you could do it in four and half if you managed to graduate early, by overloading your courses. But again, that just depends on your ability as a student and if that works for you. 😊

there are far much better institutes in UK than BITs pilani if you have money spend in abroad institutes and if you have balls then get admission in IITs through foreign scheme, for that you have to give JEE advanced exam and please for god sake don't compare BITS with MIT never in dreams

There are all kinds of people on campus, while there are some people who did look down on the DASA kids, there are also those who didn't care. You'll definitely find your people. :D

Yeah, so I haven’t applied for masters myself (so I can’t really answer the question properly) but many of my batchmates have gotten into universities like Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley etc. So you would def have a good shot! Also, keep in mind that this also depends on your qualifications as a person, and not just the college that you go to.
It should be doable, CSE goes for 2400 but you should be fine with your score as well. As far as I know, they don’t place much emphasis on the board score. Otherwise, you can always switch branches at the end of first year.

But it is a college where all deserving students get the seat . Not like our government colleges ( IITs and nits ) where 60 to 65 percent seats are reserved. Or like state quota in nits .

No, it’s mandatory for students to remain on campus. There is an apt complex near campus called Exodus or something and one guy’s parents stayed there. But students can’t. :p
I mean in my batch we only had a handful of international students, in total there were about 50 students or so. I don’t know about how many were in each branch. :p
I didn’t get ragged as badly as everyone else (even though that stopped almost completely around 2017). But I did face a lot of discrimination on being an NRI.
The CS placements are not bad - of course it depends on which batch of placements you go for Sem1 or Sem2. People from my batch got into Microsoft, Deloitte and Paypal. There were some startups that came as well.

I’m not sure what you mean by racism. I won’t sugarcoat it, there are some people who are not the nicest, but that applies to life in general. The BITSIAN community is extremely accepting as a whole. Personally, I haven’t experienced any racism. The environment at BITS is no different from the environment at any other campus in India, you will find good people and bad people. Just seek out the good ones, and I guarantee you will have a good time. :)

If you’re from a different university, you can apply to BITS for events in the fests. You’ll have to sign up for it when they come around.

I think the 1% acceptance rate was for when the college didnt have other campuses. It might have gone up now ig
