Hi Ekta! I got into the Tech MBA 2024 program! I now need your help deciding if I should choose Cornell Tech or Oxford University for my MBA Program. While Cornell seems to offer a more hands-on style education, Oxford seems to offer richer diversity & brand value. I'm enticed by Cornell's new age curriculum & NYC location, but I want to choose something that's more valuable in the long term. What are your thoughts?
First of all, congratulations on getting into 2 amazing programs! Amazing job! Second, I think the decision should be more based on your long term goals and where you want to end up in the end. Do you want to end up working in tech? Are you leaning more towards NYC or London? That should help you make the choice.
I work in my family business of manufacturing components for the automobile industry. My immediate goals are to expand my business, establish global partnerships. I have been involved in digital transformation of my business using low-code tools. In the long run, I want to start my own tech-consulting firm & offer SAAS based tools to other small enterprises. Cornell excites me for its tech focused program, new-age teaching methods, practical experience through studio projects & ofcourse the Roosevolt Island campus. But I believe Oxford has better brand recognition (in India) and more diverse, stronger alumni network - hence I seem to be more inclined towards pursuing education with Oxford. What are your thoughts on this?
@@tomseemu Well, Cornell is an Ivy League School so brand reputation is strong for both. At the end of the day, it depends on where you want to end up. If you're interested in staying in India, have you considered the IIMS?
Thank you so much for sharing this! It's really helping me know how to approach my essays!
Of course, thanks so much for watching! Good luck with your essays! 😀
Hi Ekta, your application experience is inspiring! I'm applying to the tech MBA program too, and hope I get to see you on the other side!
Thank you! Good luck!
