- Howard goes over three of his favorite Belle Epoch Deluxe settings including sounds inspired by My Bloody Valentine and Swervedriver, in a setting we call: My Bloody Swervedriver. The second tip encourages you to use your expression pedal in V mode while ridding sustain oscillation, and finally Howard's bread and butter setting!

Only a bedroom musician here but never will I regret the moment of madness when I ordered the Belle Epoch Deluxe.
They are a bit hard to find right now, suppliers are awaiting stock, I want this pedal more than any person should want a pedal, I know without doubt, this is what I needed all along. Can barely wait.

Never has a Hello Kitty Squier Strat been used to such great effect.
JFET circuits love drive and fuzz like tubes do. Sometimes damn identical with careful biasing. JFET stuff is very musical in the way it takes a hot signal. This pedal is a classic masterpiece.
My Belle Epoch Deluxe goes into a Radial ABY and two cheap Joyo J Fet DI's
( Marshall and Fender ) it is amazing.
It's my Favorite Pedal...I hate it off.
I use the expression to keep the Pre on always and a low delay then use the EXP Pedal to tweak ( tip 3)
It's always on and I follow Howard's Expression Pedal tips.

I’ve had the Epoch Deluxe for a couple months now. Can’t get enough of it. Can’t seem to move out of number one setting! Sounds soooooooooo good! I need to explore the other presets...........maybe......😏

I have yet to see ANY EP-replica pedal that can make the EXACT Ray-Gun effect of the original. When self oscillating it should "chirp".
Like Jimmy Page, and Tommy Bolin did way back. Examples: Billy Cobhams, "Quadrant 4" from his Spectrum album, or James Gangs "Standing In the Rain" intro (that one is epic EP3). Also JImmy Page during Page & Plants "Morrocco" excursions live video footage in the 90s. And of course live, on his reendition of "Whole Lotta Love" where he lets his Theremin into a Echoplex and goes ballistic with it during the midde trippy psychedelic section... They're all there on RUclips or Spotify.
It ain't "the most detailed one yet" pedal of the EP3 if they can't do that. It's a huge part of the old original ones features.
I love this pedal's sound so much but EVERY DAMN SESSION I'm wishing for presets!!!

@@cgavin1 I too have the wirebound tree skin filled with soundfart settings...but the audience (and drummer) don't appreciate my mid-set flip'n'fiddles ;)

Love the basic sound on tip #3, desperate to hear what the sound is through single coil. So desperate I’ve ordered the DLS & Naga to complete the setup. This was an expensive 20 minutes on RUclips.
I'm running various fuzzs (axis fuzz or a modded dba apocalypse clone {both pedals I made} into the Epoch Deluxe into a red DSL atm...its really sweet!!!!

Would you recommend the Belle after fuzz and in front of all the rest of the dirt, or somewhere in between certain types of dirt?
Bluebird Jo I'd run the Belle Dlx after most dirt and fuzz. Only run into dirt if it's a light amp style overdrive. I'm running into our Foundation Overdrives here to get the sound of Echoplex into cranked tube amp.
