    Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announces a $148 million investment in partnership with CASA Mental Health to expanding mental health-care services for children and young people in the province.
    She is joined at the news conference in Calgary by provincial ministers Dan Williams (mental health and addiction) and Demetrios Nicolaides (education), as well as Shannon Cook (chair of the board of trustees, Calgary Catholic School District), and CASA Mental Health representatives Krystal Gray (board member) and Bonnie Blakley (CEO).
    Responding to questions from reporters, the premier comments on the police’s use of force to remove pro-Palestinian protesters from an encampment at the University of Calgary on Thursday evening. (May 10, 2024)
