You have inspired me to start a guppy tub with some of your mutt guppies I love the setup you have going, I want to get a small setup going. But being I live in Indiana I'd have to do it inside once I get things setup like what you have going, I'll start them in a 75 gal aquarium till it's stocked full then I'll thin them out to a 110 gal stock tank you have a AWESOME setup there.
@@raisinggoldfishonabudget7058 Thanks! We run a pond or two inside at our Colorado location as well, its pretty fun! We have a new mutt guppy pond video coming out in a couple hours :)
Your guppies are the most beautiful and healthiest guppies ever. Coming across your video at 5:45 a.m. started my day out right. It’s evident that you are an expert , and you really care about making the fish healthy and happy. Wonderful video.
Heheeeeee amazing set up What I love the most about guppy is when you put your hand in the water and they start to gather and most of them bite your hand. It's so relaxing🤤
Oh my! Those Indigo Dragons are absolutely stunningly Beautiful!!! 💙 There is just something so special about blue colored Guppies! Your set-up is GREAT!
I would love to see you set one of these outdoor tubs up. I love them! They look like above ground ponds.. doughboy ponds? so beautiful and so much fun to watch on RUclips I can’t imagine being there to experiencing live! Thank you for sharing ❤
I love all your fish. I am a kind of new fish owner. I have 55 gallons, 3- 10-gallon tanks and a 20 gallon tank right now and my husband is wanting 75 gallon tank next. I know this video is about 7 months old I am subscribing to see some of your newer videos
I play with my guppies and my baby guppies in their tank. Plus I also have a molly tank and I play with my mollies and the baby Mollies in their tank. I love my fish.
Man I love your tubs !!!!! I was going to ask you were you ok but it seems like you had a case of stubborn burps !! I love how you actually set up a drain system first time I’ve ever seen someone do it to the ponds !
I have guppies and have always kept fish my entire life. your guppies are beautiful those golden ones are AMAZING. what I'm trying to do now is raise Tilapa (bigger firsh I can eat) in my back yard, I found your video very interesting to see how you have your system set up :) saludos desde Costa Rica :)
What kind of totes are those? As mine always bow out in the middle, so I always use two. One inside of the other, which is the only way it works for me. Great video. I like learning new stuff.
Just subscribed! I'm also in AZ in the East Valley. Reef Keeper currently but started with fresh water. Thinking about setting up a small planted tank to do fresh water again.
Man that's the Bomb the way the fish will come to your hand & like pick @ it almost like eating something, I've experienced the same thing w/out realizing it 🙂🖖V3
I want to breed guppies in a similar way when I move into my own place, but I want to specialize in speartails, which seem near impossible to get! Let alone in the colors and patterns I'm after. I'm thinking I'll have to find several pairs of speartails, regardless of color and breed to pairs with other tail types that are in the colors I want. It will probably mean a lot of culls, though...
Great idea 👍 good information, one thing though, I couldn't appreciate the main thing, the colors of the guppies, try using a one gallon plastic fishtank to show off the beautiful color guppies
Hey! Loved your setup. But I don't get one thing, why do you have fry tubs? Why nor let them grow inside the adult tank? There's any specific reason other than trying to not sell the breeding guppys?
Multipurpose, guppies eat their young sometimes and do better when not overcrowded. Although you can still have a lot in a tank without any breeding slowdown.
I am so envious, I am jealous, Bro you are doing exactly what I want to do ! I am in So.Cal. (being born here {entitlement}, I call it ""The State of Confusion"") anyways: I have similar weather conditions : soooo, if you can do... that means there's a damn good chance I can do it too ! oh before I forget breeding nets (haven't really counted but 20-25 years experience raising guppies, jsyk) I've found it's best even though they're in a net, you'll want/need a steady stream (not a ton of H2O just a little bit all the time 👍) of filtered water goin into the netted area w/the babies; not enough circulation threw netting, almost like it's a wall & not a net; you probably know that already ! you are into the nitty gritty that I need to know : cost in electricity : with "heating & cooling" + the regular filtering {recognized that noisy commercial air pumps blow one of those up, too small☹️}(I've had set-ups where afternoon sun would really get my aquariums way too warm : floating frozen bottles of water in there idk I tried anything !!! to keep water from wanting to get too hot) the way all your tanks/tubs/pond[whatever] one after another how there different sizes : like how I'd do, go to Wally World & buy biggest (or multiples) I could afford & start w/hose, Bamm, ponds/tanks/tubs whatever you want to call'em I'd have'm, (maybe someone has one & just throws it away... I seen it) Bamm another new aquarium 👍🙂. anyways Dude I believe I already subscribed, I am gonna be watching your videos : like white on rice. Thanx Man, Via Con Dios ! 🙂🖖V3
what do you do with all the water consumption $$$ you/I/we live in deserts : I currently use the fish water to water my orange tree & other outside planters
that's not entirely true. the temperature range they can deal with (and do well in) is actually much greater. Think about it, in nature, temperature will rarely stay within a few degrees all year. we talk about that in this video: ruclips.net/video/LATvv4ukKBw/видео.html
We've tried several different ones, haven't found one worth promoting yet! Currently we use industrial sized one to run 20+ tanks at once, not going to link one just yet, but look for vivosun air pumps on amazon.
@@BishopAquatics ok sounds good thanks man! And yeah I hear you it’s hard to find a strong pump that won’t break on u or break the bank. The vivosun has been working well for u though?
@Gavin ludeman it's so-so, strong air pump, but super super loud. Had one break so far in about a year. Definitely would not recommend for inside useage
right now inside : (found I am telling someone just put a 50 gallon hexagon tank I could not help myself) a 50, a 40, two 29's, three 10's + other various sizes tubs on roller carts... but that not enough maybe I am just nuts or crazy... I want to be the SOB (😉Lol) w/his hand in w/the fish
how do u keep it not so hot tho? cant just be fans, do they really work that well? im trippin about that thinkin i coulda just saved my pond with a fan or two. lol christ...
Yep, we just use the fans, the ponds are in shade, which helps slightly, but the temperatures would still be way too high without the fans. Air is a very effective way to cool them. There is a lot of science behind this you can checkout here: www.engineeringtoolbox.com/wind-chill-effect-d_112.html

what kind of plant is in the yellow king tiger tub
@ccody Can you provide a timestamp? Without checking, likely pearl weed and taiwan lilies :)

@@BishopAquatics I see, but all the plants covering most of the tank a lot of them could get into adulthood without any problem, right?
Did you put heater to eavry tubs?
In the winter yeah. This year i'm going to try geothermal on a few though!
What type of tubs are these? I can't seem to find any this sturdy, they all just bow out when I fill them up above 50%
Rubbermaid is the brand on most of these, definitely need thick tubs.

What about the heater
We've tried most brands, our ponds are currently using Aquarium Coops brand.
@@BishopAquatics so using the coops will replace the heater ?
Bcs as we know guppies need that cool temperature between 24 to 28

What is water capacity of your tub?
30-100 gallons depending on the tub.
How do you feed the fry?
They get fed the same way as the adults! We use flake which can be crushed into dust for fry as well as other foods that are small enough for them.
Dont you separate fries from the tubs? Do you leave the fries with the guppy grass? Love from India:)
Sometimes, if the breed is a big baby eater we will separate. Otherwise we leave them in with the plants!
@@BishopAquatics Thank you for your response. Also can you guide me how you manage fish poop? How oftem do we need to clean?
What are those plants?
Can you provide a time stamp for me? I'd have to guess pearl weed otherwise, they're in all our ponds/tanks for the most part!
