Fools Hollow over by Showlow is a verry nice campground also. I believe it's a state park and has full hook ups. We camped there in our class c a couple years ago. It's reserveable and had good cell service, very clean shower house/bathrooms.
Good stuff here - thanks for making this - we are always looking for more spots in AZ and your choices look great. We have been down to Gilbert Ray and really like that - but the others are new to us so we will be sure to check them out.
Pretty good list, thanks for sharing! May I also suggest Rancho Sedona, right on Oak Creek. It’s right across the bridge from Tlaquepaque, beautiful little campground.
Fools Hollow is my favorite😃 I like Buckskin Campground near the Colorado River. Buckskin has all the amenities (dump station, water, electricity, showers, water rentals, etc.) needed for an awesome experience. This year (2024) I will be visiting Cattail Cove. It is near the Colorado River also.
Tombstone was filmed at the Mescal set in Mescal AZ which is the other set owned by Old Tucson Studios. It is near Happy Valley which is a beautiful area with a few free camping spots along the road. If you go there after the rains, you can check out Soldier Falls which you can see from the road and is a short hike to view up close.
Good to know, that may be one that includes showers with fee. A few years back I know we had to pay at Rainbow campground for using the showers in the front area.
You know, I’ve had several people tell me that - we have in laws who stayed there last year and they loved it 😊 on our list for places to hit soon! Thanks for the suggestion 😉
I can’t say I’ve seen a specific Rv size limit - I have seen large class A’s and fifth wheel rvs parked in there… 35-40ft at least in several sites. The website mentions several site over 50ft +
Yes, I think they have a set quiet time for no generators - like 9 or 10pm till 6 or 7 am I believe. Most folk that run them, usually do shut down after sunset and dinner time when it’s really hot, maybe a little longer. But it does cool down pretty quickly at least.
Camp Verde Arizona, Zane Gray RV Village.
Great suggestion - we’ve considered trying this place in the past too!

Thanks for sharing this information! We have to try it one day 😉

Thanks for the info. Apparently I missed the price at Mather Campground and Gibert Ray.
Mather is $25 no hook ups (12.50 if you have a pass) and Gilbert Ray is still $20 as far as I know - with hook ups!
Thanks again
You forgot all of the state parks. They are all the best.

P.S. I really enjoy your videos and channel
Glad you enjoyed it!
Williams Arizona, Rail side RV Ranch
Never saw a fee for showers at Apache Trout.
Good to know, that may be one that includes showers with fee. A few years back I know we had to pay at Rainbow campground for using the showers in the front area.
Thanks for the info.
How did Lost Dutchman not make your top five? Beautiful state park

At pine Grove you can run your generator, can't you?
