I'm still using my old Flip video! By the time Lucy became aware of the hostile work environment a lot of it had been going on behind her back. Which I think was instigated by one person.

@@Blacksquareable Agree! The problem for LL began when she confronted them about what was being said. They knew she was about to put their careers on hold, with possibly no pay. They ran straight to their representative as well. Needless to say who was going to win that battle. "He who has the gold, makes the rules".

The Hostile Work Environment, with clear Bullying and Harassment is a Health and Safety issue. The risk of Psychiatric Injury in the Workplace, was a genuine threat to Lucy’s wellbeing. Once this was recognised risk reduction measures needed to be put in place, mediation, apologies, drawing a line under it was optimistically hoped for. Those doctors were too far into their own ‘cover ups’ perhaps. One who appeared to be away a lot, when things were happening, we know had another TV job on the side. Just who was covering for him and was the service impacted on by his absence in any way? I wonder what would have happened if the doctors had been treated much more harshly and reported to The General Medical Council? It feels like there were very poor relationships between doctors and nurses on the unit, which is not good for patient care and outcomes. A professional team puts patients at the centre of it all, and everyone has their own role and expertise to contribute that enables the team to function and the patients to have the best outcomes. Why were doctors reluctant to call consultants and got on with managing babies medical care way beyond their capability, without expert oversight? We must ask was it because they were hostile to them too? Is there a can of worms to uncover that leads us to consultants not taking responsibility, when they needed to be and being abusive to others? As paediatricians and not neonatologists did they not know what they didn’t know. The evidence suggests the babies were far from stable, by insisting they were stable and collapses were unexpected should make everyone suspicious. They appear to have supporters in high places or this case, if looked at properly, would possibly have fallen flat on its face before it ever got to court.

@@julieyates405 Very well thought out observations as to what happened. Also, you recognize the remedies that should have taken place during the beginning stages of LL's apparent nightmare. Somebody dropped the ball!
