    I feel like poor Bob lived in his dear brother's shadow. The man was underrated from what I can gather.

      He had actually some great hits back in the day. He never went for the "star" status that his brother had. Bob was happy doing what he did, and Bing was happy with what he did :)

      He even had a song in movie about being in his brother showed.

    I saw Bob Crosby and the Bobcats back in the early 1960s at "Lennies on the Turnpike" in Peabody, MA A great Dixieland band and a great little club.

    "Big Noise Blows into Winnetka" is as close to Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing".

      Eddie Miller was also a great clarinet player, maybe not surprising since he was from New Orleans. But anyway he played the low register clarinet solo in the middle chorus on the Crosby band's famous record of South Rampart Street Parade in 1937...
