Thanks! I try to keep most of my fixes so that anyone can have a go at it themselves. No point in working on a fix that is beyond the skills of collectors.
Awesome! I liked the video before I even watched it. I still have the Boba Fett doll from my childhood, and only the top part of the antenna is broken off. I thought you were going to disassemble the head, but milliput saves the day. Some day I'll give this a go. You make it look easy, Mr. Polloi.
This really makes me wanna try using Milliput, since it looks pretty friendly to sculpting and seems to adhere pretty well to plastic once attached in comparison to what I use now.
Great job! Would you consider a similar approach to fixing the Oscar Goldman exploding briefcase? Seems the tabs on the inside are almost always broken.
Quick question; rather than using the miliput to sculpt the piece by hand, have you considered pushing it onto the one you already have to make a mould, waiting for it to harden and then using that to make exactly the right shape? Would that even work?
That’s pretty much what it is. It’s his rangefinder as they show in this footage of the prototype suit being demonstrated : www.starwars.com/video/meet-boba-fett
allié Thierry Having used both, I'd say Milliput is a better one for soft detail and restoring sculpt but Green Stuff is good for rough fixes and bonding with the tackiness of it
Hey, I love your videos. I have a quick question about decals. I've been trying to find a replacement decal for the circular symbol on Boba's chest but can't find any. Do you have a suggestion of where I can get one from?
strange question for you a mate of mine has 10 plus boxes of boxed buses coaches cars touring cars and other collectable cars all boxed on orignal boxes he wants to sell do you know any one that could tell him how much its worth please its an odd question but watch all your vlogs and i thought if anyone knows it would be you we are based in swindon thanks
+Mike Smith thanks. I do try to look at all options before I do my fixes, and the hammer did look good. But the main shaft is very short, which was a shame. It would have been much easier if it was just a bit longer. Shame.
Years ago when I used to repair vintage star wars and transformers toys I would go to car boot sales and just buy boxes of old action figures and vehicles. When i got home I would spend about 3 hours painstakingly unscrewing and breaking them down for parts. I had an old suitcase full of bits and bobs and a staedy supply of miliput and superglue lol. Never even thought of using lego.
As always, nicely done! Your ability to create simple solutions that others would likely overlook serves you well. You never cease to amaze.

I just keep getting amazed by what you do 😮
Your repair videos never stop amazing me! This was a fantastic repair!
Thanks. More to come on Boba Fett this week.
I don't seem to be the first person who believes yours looks like an improvement on the original!

Great stuff as usual! No Mandalorian is complete without their armor in place. :)
Dare I say yours looks even better than the original
Thanks. It did turn out very nicely. Wasn't sure it would look as good as it did when I started.
I use milliput in my customs and to fix figures too. Great use of lego and milliput. Can't wait to see more videos
This should be a series like the Optimus prime (: and the new one (in my opinion) looks almost better than the original!

That's really great Dave
Brilliant stuff as usual!
Must get some plastic nippers!
Awesome job!
any videos on how to fix the same toy with one of its hands missing? great videos btw 👍
+darren m That will be along in the future. I'm just searching for parts and pieces.
I was concerned for your fingers when you were shaping the Milliput with that knife
For future reference, It's not an antenna, it's a range finder. You fold it down over your eye :)
Great job! Would you consider a similar approach to fixing the Oscar Goldman exploding briefcase? Seems the tabs on the inside are almost always broken.
+billymac72 I'm sure there would be some piece of Lego you could use.
I think a Lego hammer would of worked better, it's closer to the shape as a start. Could make a mould with the blue stuff?
Love the videos
The hammer is not long enough.
Toy Polloi ok so, nice job.

You could do that. If I did this today I would most likely make something out of styrene sheet.
When i played with my Boba it was decided this was his targeting system.

Neat'O Brother Thanks for sharing 😀👍❤🇨🇦🇬🇧🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉💯
hello.do you know who is the better between milliput and green stuff for fixing toys?
+allié Thierry I only use Milliput, but I'm sure someone will know.
allié Thierry Having used both, I'd say Milliput is a better one for soft detail and restoring sculpt but Green Stuff is good for rough fixes and bonding with the tackiness of it
nice, would be interesting to see if you could repair or replace damaged or missing hands
It's next on the list for Boba Fett. I have a couple of ideas. I am just hunting down some bits I need.

+Ethan Tripp Watch my video on replacement stickers for this 12 inch Boba Fett. You'll find all the details you need there. Cheers
Toy Polloi thank you so much! Also, I love watching your videos. You toy fixes are ingenious.
For a piece like this I would have tried a mold, then use the miliput or even resin. Just my 2cents.
+Squirrel Killa Could be a good way to do it. But most people won't have one to work from, so something like this will have to do.

A lego hammer would have worked extremely well it looks just like that antenna you should check it out
+Mike Smith I did, and it is way to small. That is why I made this. Cheers.
I couldn't tell if it was too small or not either way yours looks amazing
+Mike Smith thanks. I do try to look at all options before I do my fixes, and the hammer did look good. But the main shaft is very short, which was a shame. It would have been much easier if it was just a bit longer. Shame.
what would you do without Lego!
I know. I'm amazed it took me so many years to think of it. Now its the first thing I look to.
Did you get the links to my Colonial Viper?

TheTWRModeller Hi, I have now seen them. Looks like a fun project. Do you plan to make it in plastic?
I'm sorry to inform you that people are selling your custom side capes already I've seen 3 already when I was just looking around on eBay.
+Dr. BYx That happens. It's more fun to make them yourself than pay for them.
Toy Polloi yeah
Mine's not broken but doesn't make noise
maybe next fix is using anything but Lego!
+sue good Could be. You will have to wait and see.
And if you're a bit klutzie like me, mask off the head so you don't scuff it up when your drill inevitably slips!!!
legoless!
