Makes you wonder who bought the shares, and how they will influence the setting. If you think of it, all the drama and devalued stock just gives a discount to whoever will make it worse.. I have been in the hobby for decades and I am against the concept of femstodes or modern female space marines. Or any form of this universe conforming to modern social or political factions. That being said, be careful of bringing up female space marines, as that rabbithole can open up a new warpstorm. I assume you are aware that for the first 30+ years of the 40k verse, there were more female marine models/sculpts than there were custodes models/sculpts right (gabs and jayne from rt6012, and the kev adams marine that some credit to brian ansell)? It is also important to note that if the Eisenhorn connection/rumour is even remotely true, these femstodes could be part of the Court of the King in Yellow. It seems valdor is doing more stuff that is not in the lore and or is outright heretical. And ofcourse that Grummz on twitter is a warcraft designer that is semi responsible for the things that he claims GW might turn into, while it happened to his own franchise. It is also important to note that for the first editions, the lore was vague and ambiguous by design. The one "men" reference in context according to the english dictionairy can also mean a group of humans/people. Nowhere else for decades is men or man used, same for brotherhood, boys or sons which is from like 7th edition. The other lore bits on custodes in the Rogue Trader Rulebook (like p139) are more elaborate and completely ambigous. The same goes for second edition with p12 in the Codex Imperialis. Grummz, or Mark, is likely just trolling and stirring up the pot, or intentionally devalueing GW stock. My advice would be to change to oldhammer (which gw won't profit from as it's usually second hand, a safer investment and has a lot of funky gems), 3d printing, or any other miniature game.

People do realise she resigned back in January before any of this was announced right? She bought the share at 65p, she is selling it at a high. Which makes sense
I was told the rumour that GW claimed that White wolf committed self delete, because they killed the dark world by changing the game suddenly under their fan base noses. By bringing forth the end times and re-booting to the new dark world. If this is true then that would be very ironic for many reason's many times. This debacle would be the last in a line of missteps and the worst because who can forgive woke?
Who did she sell them to? If her shares were bought by either Blackrock and/or Vanguard (the two DEI investors who each own 11% of the company), then that's BAD. Because now these two have more influence over the direction the company takes. The devil's in the details, lads. Don't pay GW for any more products, buy shares of them so that we can have a voice in what direction the company takes.
I got a couple questions. When did the CFO put in her resignation, amd when did she sell her stock? Because I'm not convinced it was due to the recent events.
@@Chonkulease Thanks for that. So it seems the resignation can still be unrelated, However selling the stock definitely seems reactionary to the rapid decline over the past week.
@@Wolf37f I think it is understandable considering. My dad was provided a similar option when he was a Managing Director of Engineering at a large aviation company. He could either take money or shares. It was considered disloyal to take the money so he took the shares. When he was made redundant some years later, he lost shit tons of money on the stocks. In the end they had lost nearly 2000% of their value. My mother sold them for a penny each. In addition he'd had to pay a lot of tax on them, they were completely worthless. I think this former CFO made the right decision even if it looks bad. In our economic climate you have to look after yourself.
Seeing as how Codexs are made a year or 2 in advance, she definitely knew this was coming. She also would have been getting reports on how the Amazon situation is doing and realized something is wrong.
6:51 Battletech is still a good option. It is true that CGL has gone full Woko Haram, but they only hold the license currently, they do not own Battletech like GW owns Warhammer IP. The REAL Battletech community has kept the IP alive for DECADES on their own when things were looking bleak. Also, the rules don't really change, and proxies are baked into the rules and accepted (Buy/make STLs and 3D print to your heart's content, or buy 3rd party minis). There are so many secondary markets and PDF files floating around that you do not need to give 1 red cent to the CGL psychos to fully enjoy Battletech. If you like the idea of Big stompy robots and Game of Thrones in space then Battletech has you covered. The game can be all the way down to the small unit level and you can even scale it up to intergalactic campaigns with dropships, aerospace fighters, add in combined arms, infantry, tanks, vtols, you name it. Best part, NONE of your models are ever made obsolete and you can pretty much play anything with any faction and paint them how you want. The only thing limiting you is what era you decide you want to play (like if you want to play pre-Clan invasion you would just not use Clan tech). If you're a normal person that just wants to enjoy a hobby seek out the Helm Memory Core discord server. We'll hook you up.
With respect asmo, just cause it’s historical, does not mean the woke won’t go for it if it is popular enough. One of my buddies who shows me and others a bunch of historical board games, has told me that many a creator and such do lean politically towards the woke, but for the most part have kept it out of their work. But we have been through this song and dance before. As we have seen with historical video games, the woke aren’t above trying to subvert it. And they have done so. Keep that in mind.
Thats fair and sad, but I'm gonna enjoy it while it's not woke and hope I die before it becomes so. Rather not live in fear of it burning while I can still enjoy it.
I think OPR and other games are going to get some increased use. Personally loving Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika by Privateer Press at this point. Interesting to see what GW does next given the writing on the wall. They either ignore it and keep losing out, or change tack and some clearer heads prevail.
3d print is a very good idea, ripping off rules or new lore isnt even worth it. with opr i am writing my own armies out of the old lore i know. and then it is up to us and our gaming groups to write our own campaigns, stories, lore. if we want something good we can also do it ourself. instead of spending and suffering from GW- just get creative yourself, that is what we try.
I have the AvP board game and wargame made by PRODOS before they folded into Archon studios. I have heaps of models before each faction, I'm even going to play my friend wuo has bolt action as a predator hunting his Japanese soldiers.
I stopped buying new codex's years ago, damn things are outdated before they even come out.

Also you get less too. Remember the old Codex's filled with art and stories. Now its just stats, a few short stories and tons of pictures of painted minis instead of artistic drawings.
Use 3D printers to bring back the sexyness to the slaanesh daemonettes, the sisters of battle and female Inquisitors that GW has been taking away from us.
If you want weird scifi I highly recommend mantic's firefight. The game has alterating activations, a better command point style system, and the starter boxes are cheaper with more minis compared to gw for a game that uses roughly the same mini count for a match. Also you can buy stl's from them.
Given the recent trend in the stock market and word of GW's hair being pulled by vice entities, no smart people with good business acumen would want to associate him/herself with a business of questionable reputation. It simply doesn't bode well with the hard earned resume that's scratch built through sheer toil.
For historics: Warlord Games Perry Miniatures Victrix Old Glory/Empress All good starts, all relatively cheap for what your getting, particularly Warlord.
I know i said this already but Holy crap this is getting wilder and wilder. If they hope to survive they have to pull up some online microtransactions battlefield shooter style games and more total war updates at least
I'm not going to buy anything from GW anymore until they either undo the damage done to the Adeptus Custodes by removing the female Custodians from the official Warhammer 40,000 canon, or until they go out of business. Whichever comes first. Until then, I'll use a 3D printer to make my own models, I'll write and print my own codexes and rule books and keep the franchise alive as a true fan. I hope others out there will join me.
It sucks because the minis are genuinely top quality. The best in the world even. But the pricing, the consistently just BAD game design, and now THIS. Ugh. Fuck it all. I'm out. If I ever want miniatures again I'm buying Vallejo paints and 3D printing.
Yes, and Pre Ordering Made sense back when you wanted to make sure your local store had a copy of the game for you on release day. Everything being digital now, you're just prepaying a company for a product that isn't finished/ could be delayed/ might be released buggy and broken.
Do you have any Friends with a 3d printer? Thingiverse and cults have free stls for the action figures + accessories. As for Space Marine 2, the devs have already paid GW for the rights and Baulders Gate 3 proved that no community boycott will stop people buying it if the games good..
This is a warning my fellow gamers there stock is dropping and the smart ones are running out. If you're like me just keep not buying there trash. This truly a dark time but we can play fun games that have companies that don't call us bad names and don't hate on us.
I think that while this was without a doubt a terribly stupid way to introduce this change, seriously saying it's always been like this and you just never saw any hints of it is the worst way to retcon. I think that people are way overreacting. I won't lose sleep or likely even remember that this is the case in a few weeks because it is of zero consequence to me. They write the lore, it's their story to tell. If yah don't like it then ignore it, it's a tabletop game just treat it like DnD and use the parts you like. Not like the lore was reasonable or consistent anyways so you should already be used to mental gymnastics.
Mantic Games - Warpath is an amazing game with a lot of flexibility and damn good minis. Has a more refined feel than the Grim Dark but still very good!
So what happened in january? She gave them 12 months notice in january but i dont what was happening around that time bar some minor warcry announcements.
That's why i just stick to fallout wasteland warefare and historical atm i haven't bought an GW stuff since 10th edition, it's the prices for me tbh so i just been painting my pile of shame.
The rules of 40K are shit anyway to be honest. I love the models and most collectors have a massive pile of shame. The best way to handle this is to boycott 40K for a few months. Work on the pile of shame, don’t use the new codexes and buy second hand. If the financials tank and models don’t sell GW will cancel the Amazon deal. Amazon is pushing the woke into GW along with Blackrock. Tank the shares and Blackrock will be forced to diverse by their share holders. It’s the only way to save Warhammer 40K.

I believe she resigned on jan 23 and sold her stock April 18
Most if not alll there product decisions are made monthes in advance so on the surface they can appear unrelated but in truth be 100%
Seeing as how Codexs are made a year or 2 in advance, she definitely knew this was coming. She also would have been getting reports on how the Amazon situation is doing and realized something is wrong.
Her selling is gonna cause mass panic selling. I wonder how low the stock will be by the end of the week
Damn not even a week
Love the renegade background music. Never change that pleas
Rats & sinking ships, anyone?
If only all the staff pushing The Message would follow suit.
She just wanted to make a forgeworld order
Is there even anything left on the forgeworld website?
She can now afford a set of ten shoulder pads. And only 10.
Don't give up on your hobby because it "fell". You're the hobby, it only falls when you do.
She's dumping 2 3rds letting the price go back up as black rock and vanguard buy them and then selling the other third.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
When the engineer gets into the life pod first? Oh yeah. Everythings NOT good
I noticed that even mini pricing, on brand new items, is cheaper on ebay with shipping that GW's own website with shipping!
Imagine joining the fandom when this controversy hit and having no idea why everyone is so upset.
This isn't in response to anything recently. This was planned and announced back in January (publicly, so internally probably even longer ago)
Simps of Silence on deck! In 4... 3... 2...
You have forgotten the Whorestodes brother! They will turn the tide of any battle
@@LucasPeter-rn6zm Sounds like some Slannesh Stuff.
HERESY!
Use 3D printers to bring back the sexyness to the slaanesh daemonettes, the sisters of battle and female Inquisitors that GW has been taking away from us.
Alternatives: Infinity the game, Warpath, One Page Rules......
GW: You will not be missed.
Will you miss my wallet?
GW won't be missed either. 3D printer goes brrrrttt 🤣
Don't worry about BattleTech we are fighting the good fight and will win.
Yeah, the BT Pride Anthology screams "Winning". Lessons from Charlie Sheen are paying off.
This is no letting the stock go even further down its spirale. Very very bad news for shareholders
If you want weird scifi I highly recommend mantic's firefight. The game has alterating activations, a better command point style system, and the starter boxes are cheaper with more minis compared to gw for a game that uses roughly the same mini count for a match. Also you can buy stl's from them.
We can still play with the Old Lore, both 8th ed. Fantasy and 40k
“We’re not Nazis”
“I interviewed Arch”
Shit writes itself
Chaos Gods making everything woke, stay strong my un-woke bros, save Warhammer from fate that ruined WoW, Marvel, DC, Star Wars.
Given the recent trend in the stock market and word of GW's hair being pulled by vice entities, no smart people with good business acumen would want to associate him/herself with a business of questionable reputation. It simply doesn't bode well with the hard earned resume that's scratch built through sheer toil.
For historics:
Warlord Games
Perry Miniatures
Victrix
Old Glory/Empress
All good starts, all relatively cheap for what your getting, particularly Warlord.
I use Warlord sprues (for Guard, Arbites, Inquisitor kitbashes etc.) because they are cheap but honestly Wargames Atlantic is the best for models.
Getting out before the shitshow fully hits.
GW: femstodies exist
Fanbase: Yarr Harr Fiddle-de-dee! *printer goes BRRRRR*
“IT’S AFRAID!!!”
Just pick up a 3d printer folks. Not only are you not supporting GW by doing so, but it's going to save you TONS of money.
Need a tabletop game where you fight against the hordes or woke mind-virus zombies
0:20 bro is the Nathaniel Garo of the RUclips 40 K fan base lol Just kidding but you definitely are one of the few remaining
I know i said this already but Holy crap this is getting wilder and wilder.
If they hope to survive they have to pull up some online microtransactions battlefield shooter style games and more total war updates at least
That's not good. She knows way more than we do. It's probably going to get worse. In ways we can't imagine. Great.
they look really confident dont they??
lmao.
I want 40k to keep going and to recover from all of this
I'm not going to buy anything from GW anymore until they either undo the damage done to the Adeptus Custodes by removing the female Custodians from the official Warhammer 40,000 canon, or until they go out of business.
What about JoyToy, Mcfarlane and Bandai action figures? Should i stop buying them too? Cancel my space marine 2 preorder?
Pretty much.
Ok then! I'll just buy second hand! My last ever order will be a Joytoy Gulliman from a middle man seller. The eternal fast begins!
Don't preorder video games. There is no reason to preorder games. More and more games come out half finished/baked and it sucks.
This is a warning my fellow gamers there stock is dropping and the smart ones are running out. If you're like me just keep not buying there trash. This truly a dark time but we can play fun games that have companies that don't call us bad names and don't hate on us.
Games workshop died when Americans took it over. Optimism isnt the point of 40k
Yep.
Dar face at the start XD
What the hell are you paying $15 for a Zaku II for?
I picked up my army of them for $13 each. Mobile Suit Skirmish is a wonderful wargame.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Grimdark Future as rules.
Mantic Games - Warpath
is an amazing game with a lot of flexibility and damn good minis. Has a more refined feel than the Grim Dark but still very good!
So what happened in january? She gave them 12 months notice in january but i dont what was happening around that time bar some minor warcry announcements.
Internal stuff probably. Contract signing with Amazon perhaps
Is crimson skies still a thing?
BUY! BUY! BUY! Take over the Board of Directors!!!
Remember these books are made like 6 months earlier.....so like they new this in November basically.
Sure, but I believe the recent backlash is the implied reason for their sudden departure.
@astrovarius543 but didn't it say she announced she left in January, but pulling her stocks out now after the female custodes debacle.
Now they're gonna replace her with someone whi sees things their way.
Plz, people - stop buying their plastic crack
*_WOKEHAMMER_* is upon us! Time for the Bud Light treatment!
Prove the GW CFO Right! BOYCOTT!!!!!
I'll stick with Heavy Gear from Dream Pod 9. I use the old rules which are available in PDF on drivethrurpg and buy the current models.
Was this before or after we heard in january 2024 that she was resigning as profits surged
Resigning and cashing out are different things, no?
