Wow, I'm from Sao Paulo (living in Canada now) and I didn't know many of these places! Seems like vegan places are expanding a lot there. Really happy you had so many options!
Brazil is such a fusion of cultures. There's a version of that rice, beans and stew dish in almost every country in Africa and espresso after a meal is distinctly Italian. Please do a vegan food vlog in every country you visit. I find it so interesting
São Paulo is 5th best city for vegans in the world (in restaurant numbers) :) In some cities in Brazil there's a delivery service only with vegan and vegetarian food options called velivery, it might be helpful for you as well.
I love Brazil! I think it was one of the best places especially when it comes to food. I’d definitely visit there again. I’m not vegan but I’m enjoying watching your videos.
I'm so glad you went to Sao Paulo! I'm Canadian living in Vancouver and my bf lives in Sao Paulo so I visit there often. I've been to all the vegan places you went to over there and I agree that they're awesome!! Glad you loved your trip! Btw when I went to Sushi Mar the service was kinda shitty too :p thought they'd improve haha
Omg vegan feijoada!!!! 😍 Yasss!!! 😁 I'm literally listening to Brazilian music right now and imagining myself there! Farofa! Yum! 🤤 Mmm sugar cane juice and pasteis!
During the month of October, I'm going to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte. This is so helpful. I can't wait for it my two-week trip. This video is getting me so hyped!
Yay, you were in my home city!! I have been living in the USA for years now, it's nice to see veganism has become more popular and options are now available there. It wasn't like that when I left the country years ago! But on the down side, I know and can see the prices are not accessible. Food there, especially vegan, is RIDICULOUSLY expensive (in Reais, Brazilian money) and the majority of people can't afford.
I need to go to SP. Last time I was there there weren't this many vegan options. I'm glad you enjoyed my country. Next time come to the mountain state (Minas Gerais). I will love the waterfalls and the views
I didn't know you were coming to Sao Paulo, You should have had a meet up!! I would have loved to meet you! I love Sushimar Vegano, but you are right, service is soo slow!!!
Hello from São Paulo! I can't believe I missed this video of yours (I'll check the vlog channel to see what else you did here). I love having vegan feijoada hahaha. Oh, and I love sushimar, it's kinda expensive for me, but I absolutelly love everything there but the avocado sushi with crispy kale on top is amazing. And Vila Butantã is near my college campus, I love that place too. At Liberdade there's a restaurante called "Broto da Primavera", near São Joaquim metro station that is also really good (everything's vegan there).
Ohhh you were here!! Hope you enjoyed Sao Paulo! :D Your friends did a pretty legit food tour around here, I've been to all these places and some I go very often. Just had dinner at Sushimar Vegano yesterday! Too bad I wasn't lucky enough to see you around and say hi :P
omg I was just learning about Brazilian Japanese sushi the other day and you just ate the vegan version :) I also learned about Chifa (Peruvian Chinese food from the Chinese immigrants over there). Nice to see Brazil has vegan options!
That’s a misconception - There’s lots of vegans in South America! And plenty of options and restaurants, especially in the main or bigger cities. But even in small places there are always options. I went to the best vegan restaurant I’ve been to in La Paz, Bolivia :)
all looks amazing, but i just cannot trust restaurants. i prefer to cook myself, i do not travel and will never have to worry about things in other places, glad you had fun!
I'm from São Paulo and here is the better state in Brazil for vegans, have so many options. But in other states is not bad too. Sorry for my bad English.
Glad you liked our vegan food variety, Brazilians are slowly becoming more conscious of the meat industry and also how bad it is for you body... however couve is not cabbage, it’s a different type of kale. :) xx
HI ROSE! YOU SHOULD KNOW THE VEGAN RESTAURANT IN SAN PAULO: POP VEGAN IN MY OPINION IS THE BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT IN SAN PAULO! GREETINGS FROM BRAZIL! SANTINA VEGAN FOR THE COMPASSION FOR THE ANIMALS AND THE PLANET TOO!
Is it bad that I'm a vegan but when I go out of the country to a country where I dont speak the language I am a vegetarian. It started when I first went to france and no one understood vegan but vegetarian I's basically the same. If forced to I could eat eggs cheese and milk but I will never eat meat again. Also I want to experience the culture, that's the point of travel, but again I want to minimize the damage done. When I come back I feel like I have to go on a fast to make up for it so I normally do at least a 3 day fast
@@christineg6123 yes I do that but normally it's like one place. Imagine I'm going to go to Morocco soon. I dont speak Arabic or Italian or any language spoken there except english so I might be in a situation where I know I'm eating eggs or dairy. Idk how people do it and still enjoy travel
I guess you just have to do your best. It's hard when you travel, especially when there's a language barrier! Especially in places where they might not really understand what vegan is.
How about if you just say you're lactose intolerant with an egg allergy? I know its dishonest but my anxiety has made me say weird things and I wont be keen on explaining something if people never heard of it.
To say that it is so unexpected that São Paulo has many vegan options hides a horrible prejudice that cities in "undeveloped" countries are inferior in every way. Review your perceptions of world.
The green plant in the feijoada was kale, not cabage. Is a different kind of kale that we have here, but its delicious.
Its collard green in english, but we call it kale in brazil
it was so yum!
Wow, I'm from Sao Paulo (living in Canada now) and I didn't know many of these places! Seems like vegan places are expanding a lot there. Really happy you had so many options!

Ted Striker2112 yeah I don’t trust anywhere either unless the whole place is vegan.
yup!! the only place i have eaten at is the Spiral diner in Ft Worth Tx. 100% vegan. other than that, nope!! @@indieparadiso

The pastel thing remains me of elephant ears here in America.
