There are no adjectives that can properly describe this majestic piece of music. Just listen and become absorbed in a masterpiece written by a true genius.

I wish, the last piece of music before I will close my eyes eternally will be this climax of all music ever composed.

Wow...what a performance. The silence at the end is just as important to the music as the notes preceding it are, and this audience is aware and knowledgeable of just that. I love the deliberate tempo the conductor takes throughout the work; never rushed so that the small nuances of the harmonies, especially in the modulations, allow the chords to blossom on their own. Also, it affords the tremolo of the string section some wonderful rhythmic playability that is seldom heard in faster tempos.

i really like the dynamics and the pacing. there's a lot of shape going on. i can imagine that its not quite what the conductor wanted.. like you could wrestle with it forever to get it to open up just right.

Indicates, that people actually listened to it, and felt it so hard they didn't wanted to ruin the moment with immidiate applause. And you are not yet able to appresiate music completely.

I find the TRAGIC element here terribly missing,it's as if they are all going through the motions only and leaving me cold at the end of this piece. Utterly boring, what a perversion. And definitely Thielemann ain't NO Karajan! Go listen to Bohm's with the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra. sd goh (malaysia)
