While most people remember 1/2's version as their childhood, this one was mine. I never had a ps2 growing up so I missed those two and to this day have never played 2. This theme is my first memory of Kingdom Hearts. I was like 12 when I saw all the commercials for Re:Coded and thought the game looked really cool. Bummer it did jack shit to help me understand the story
The trailer will forever be burned into my memory. This is what opened me up to the kingdom hearts genre because before this I had no intention of playing a game with Donald Duck as my sidekick.
you can actually get ps2's cheap at amazon they are prrrroooooobably about uh i think 60 maybe 80 for good ones that work properly but ones that are okay and still work are cheaper by 30 dollars or by 10 more than 30 bassicaly 40 and i saw that KH2 FM (final mix) and KH1 FM are 50$ pretty good price if you ask me.
Mine was Birth By Sleep's version. I used to watch my mom play when I was younger. I kinda regret only starting to play KH when I was around 15 (I'm 18 now)
Don't worry, it really doesn't get hate. (from actual fans anyway). The game was incredibly advanced for the platform it came out on (phone) we got the privilege to play it upon request (fan request that is) so they ported it to the DS for that reason. It was a lot of fun, probably #2 on my list, 358/2 is #1 on my list.
***** +1 i for one loved this game. had some nifty battles and details (sora's heartless was the most wtf moment ever) then there was the battle with the trickmaster that was pretty neat. the music in the debug areas gives me a nice nostalgic feeling too :3
I have this game on my DS, and I love it so much! Now I just need to get into ALL of Final Fantasy! This is probably my favorite version of Dearly Beloved.
A boy with a loving heart, who fought the darkness to save his friends A boy with a hungry heart, who fell into darkness but found the light A girl with a peaceful heart, who guided her wandering friends home A boy with a heart light as air, who fought the darkness that was once his own A boy with a heart strong as earth, who took darkness into himself to save his friends A girl with a heart deep as water, who tirelessly searches the shadows for her friends Six hearts, dear, and beloved
“ Thinking of you, wherever you are. We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend. Now I will step forward to realize this wish. And who knows: Starting a new journey may not so hard or maybe it has already begun. There are many worlds, but they share the same sky- one sky, one destiny.” This song seems so sad. I close my eyes, and remember all the good times I have had with my friends, and i hope it'll never end.
This is so nostalgic for me. I remember getting it during fall 2011 and I had so many fond memories playing through it. It may not be as story progressive or as popular as some of the mainline KH games but honestly I enjoyed re:coded and 358/2 Days much more than any other Kingdom Hearts game.
I wonder why.. When ever i listen to the Dear Beloved.. Theme i get calmed.. and Then... if you close your eyes as you listen to it...The people you love the dearest appear up into your mind and then.. its hard to get them out.. I wouldn't be surprised.. if someone cried after hearing this song.
I closed my eyes and listened to this song.. I saw all the people I loved, and some of them I didn't realize how much I cared until this moment. As my eyes were closed, tears came out of my eyes, but not sad ones. It was peaceful happy ones. Such a beautiful song.
Despite what many people say about this game , I loved it . Especially this theme . Unlike many dearly beloved versions , this one is the only one that surpassed the original kh1 dearly beloved by giving you not only sadness , but also hope when you hear it . The other versions only invoke sadness
When i first heard this song i fell in love...and i would let my game sit in the main screen just playing....with the beach sound...it was beautiful...inspiring :] Pure love
With this version of Dearly Beloved, I picture a library. However, not just any library, but rather a library of memories and emotions. Each book telling a unique story
When people ask or say which is there favorite Dearly Beloved, I don't give much of an input because each are unique and have the emotion that relates to the game. So I just can't choose one.. there all so serene and beautiful..
no matter what game or what version of kingdom hearts it will always be a memory that will make us cry yet be happy and joy when we beat darkness but sorrow when you lose that one special thing and start sobbing a bit
I have come to grow to like this series, alot i remember thinking when i first played KH 1 going into it i woulden't be able to get into it, but i liked the story ALOT and i do like how as time progresses they start to adress that Darkness could also be a tool used for good At least i started noticing this is Birth By Sleep though
I really like this version of D.B. It's more cheerful, like you're ready to go on a new adventure. It's like a "here we go again" sort of feel to it. :-)
Only a heartless nobody could dislike the raw awesomeness of any KH related stuff. My opinion flows from my perception of the KH series, nothing directly against anyone. MUST GET RE:CODED NOW.
all the songs in any kingdomhearts game are sobeautifull, the openings, theme songs, ending songs, what eer they are so beautifully constructed no matter which way you look at it, even people who don't appreciate the game have to think the music is beautiful, although i don't knw how people cannot like this amazing game, it has a really good story line, amazing graphics, it's just plain amazing frm every point of view
I can't wait to hear the Kingdom Hearts 3DS version. I haven't hated a single version of this wonderful tune and, depressingly, I think that it could be my funeral music.
a journey to the memories of the memories.... a journey to fix a special pain... deep within a new world... even if they are not physical, that doesn't mean that the memories can't feel... among the datascape.....within the Zeros and Ones... The heart keeps on beating....
One thing people fail to understand about this game is that it was not originally planned to be this huge significant game. It was planned to be released for japanese cell phones, and after releasing the final episode, they decided to re-model it for the DS. But the storyline couldn't change, so, they had to make do with their mediocre storyline and try and fit a nice gameplay into a game that was only meant to have two buttons and directional controls.
Namine's last mission... accomplished. To bring back light to a time forgotten and now full of hope. To reconnect Kingdom Hearts: Past, Present, and Future.
when i hear this i feel like im in dark place remember what happend to me in the past then i cried i actually cried when i heared this i want to go back and change somethings
@kaliskonig I think you are slightly missing the point. Dearly Beloved is the theme of Kingdom Hearts, so it only makes sense that each game has it as its theme song, albeit with a different arrangement. It's like Final Fantasy- each game has the same song in it somewhere (although I have never played it xD)
@Frozteh No, it's with mickey after kh2, back at home, is helping jiminy go through his journal, so they create a digital sora to revisit the worlds in the journal.
@ZeroUltimateKey Nah. Thanks for bringing that up. I got a bit mixed up. Ventus fought Vanitas which was his own darkness. and Terra was the one who took the darkness in himself. Thanks!
@lipwen94 same here this one made me think of : "Stay optimistic, things aren't always set in stone. Be determined to get what you want" other Dearly Beloved variations make me think of "Hope" or "Total Peace" or "Joy"
@PeachyKitsune I cry hearing it it reminds me of my mom and she died in 2007. we used to play kingdom hearts together or watch my brother play it. I listen to this when I need her most =') crying but still happy
Favorite version of Dearly Beloved. It's so good.
Tavis Jackson glad I'm not the only one
That sweet sound that I used to remember in 3 years ago in winter of the afternoon, celebrating christmas
While most people remember 1/2's version as their childhood, this one was mine. I never had a ps2 growing up so I missed those two and to this day have never played 2. JunRAR lol same i remember getting it solely on that commercial
have you played 2 yet?
Mine was Birth By Sleep's version. I used to watch my mom play when I was younger. I kinda regret only starting to play KH when I was around 15 (I'm 18 now)
I loved re:coded. No idea why it gets hate.

The reason it gets so much hate is because it doesn't add much to the overall story until the very end of the game.
+shtemz 385/2 doesn't add much either but it's loved a lot
Story of Roxas days in Organization 13 and Xion.
sweetest sounding most relaxing sounds ever i loved all the games.
Feels like it was Yesterday...
This version is my favorite, you could just hear the scenes... It's beautiful! Seriously, i could listen to this over and over.
Dearly Beloved is truly a masterpiece... There're so many versions of Dearly Beloved, but every version gave me different feeling...
This is my favourite version of Dearly Beloved :) its simply perfect, sadly the game is not good enough, but i like it because its Kingdom Hearts ^^
God bless the KH Soundtrack
I have this game on my DS, and I love it so much! Now I just need to get into ALL of Final Fantasy!
This is probably my favorite version of Dearly Beloved.
kingdomhearts II and this dearly beloved are my favorite ones.
Re:coded was the first kh game I ever played, so this brings back memories =')
i have every single version of this song on my ipod, its the best
8 years old, magenta Nintendo DSi, my very first Kingdom Hearts game.
Same my ds was white tho
I love the beginning of this version and I love how every game has it's very own version of dearly beloved.
I miss this game
"Thinking of you where ever you are,"
This is my favorite version of dearly beloved.
its so... beautiful
A boy with a loving heart, who fought the darkness to save his friends
A boy with a hungry heart, who fell into darkness but found the light
A girl with a peaceful heart, who guided her wandering friends home
A boy with a heart light as air, who fought the darkness that was once his own
A boy with a heart strong as earth, who took darkness into himself to save his friends
A girl with a heart deep as water, who tirelessly searches the shadows for her friends
Six hearts, dear, and beloved
“ Thinking of you, wherever you are.
We pray for our sorrows to end,
and hope that our hearts will blend.
Now I will step forward to realize this wish.
And who knows:
Starting a new journey may not so hard
or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds,
but they share the same sky-
one sky, one destiny.”
This song seems so sad. I close my eyes, and remember all the good times I have had with my friends, and i hope it'll never end.
these songs are like angels falling from heaven giving u hope to never give up on wat u love and care for
This song is amazing all credit to you for posting it.
This music truly was that magical essence of our time with Kingdom Hearts.
This is so nostalgic for me. I remember getting it during fall 2011 and I had so many fond memories playing through it. It may not be as story progressive or as popular as some of the mainline KH games but honestly I enjoyed re:coded and 358/2 Days much more than any other Kingdom Hearts game.

man this game was my life since 12 years when I played it it changed my life it was a great journey 😁
I closed my eyes and listened to this song.. I saw all the people I loved, and some of them I didn't realize how much I cared until this moment. As my eyes were closed, tears came out of my eyes, but not sad ones. It was peaceful happy ones. Such a beautiful song.

Ah the memories.. I had this for my 2DS, which unfortunately broke, and i lost the game card. This is a good game, but i never got far into the game.
With this version of Dearly Beloved, I picture a library. However, not just any library, but rather a library of memories and emotions. Each book telling a unique story
i love each version of dearly beloved..
Just a little note: Sora in Japanese, translates to sky. Riku turns into earth. And Kai, from Kairi, means water. Sky, earth and water.
This brings back so many memories
I love that there are so many different versions, they're all so interesting and complex and refreshing!!!
Everytime a New KH game is coming out I always wonder on how the Dearly Beloved will sound and For Recoded its Very Nice!
When people ask or say which is there favorite Dearly Beloved, I don't give much of an input because each are unique and have the emotion that relates to the game. So I just can't choose one.. there all so serene and beautiful..
This one seems.... happier. Dearly Beloved will always be one of my top songs, everylast version.
Dearly Beloved is forever the best music in all Kingdom Hearts series. Like you can't stop listening it now and then...
no matter what game or what version of kingdom hearts it will always be a memory that will make us cry yet be happy and joy when we beat darkness but sorrow when you lose that one special thing and start sobbing a bit
I can listen to this forever...
"Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it."
Simply breathtaking
I remember just opening my DS not to play the game but just to hear this song..well evenually i played xD
this song is one of the most amazing, great and beautiful song.
This is definitely my favorite version of Dearly Beloved so far.
GOD this is very soothing music this could be music to fall asleep to cause of the pace its just amazing

240p so we can't die from how awesome the song is. Either that or becoming a beast and owning.
I have come to grow to like this series, alot i remember thinking when i first played KH 1 going into it i woulden't be able to get into it, but i liked the story ALOT and i do like how as time progresses they start to adress that Darkness could also be a tool used for good

Each version of this song is just as good as its other.
I really like this version of D.B. It's more cheerful, like you're ready to go on a new adventure. It's like a "here we go again" sort of feel to it. :-)

MUST GET RE:CODED NOW.
Kingdom Hearts is one of the greatest games ever.~
yay a new dearly beloved! this version is very uplifting but with a hint of sadness.
all the songs in any kingdomhearts game are sobeautifull, the openings, theme songs, ending songs, what eer they are so beautifully constructed no matter which way you look at it, even people who don't appreciate the game have to think the music is beautiful, although i don't knw how people cannot like this amazing game, it has a really good story line, amazing graphics, it's just plain amazing frm every point of view
I think this is the best one yet.

There will never be a series as good as Kingdom Hearts. =)
It's just... beautiful...
this one is more happier than the others I've noticed
Omg, I love this song
I can't wait to hear the Kingdom Hearts 3DS version. I haven't hated a single version of this wonderful tune and, depressingly, I think that it could be my funeral music.

You can be a hated game but for me you are one of the best games of the saga
This song is beauty made audible :)

Soy fanático de kingdom Hearts y para mi esta musica es clasica en este juego XD.Uno de los mejores OST de juegos.
@lipwen94
same here
this one made me think of :
"Stay optimistic, things aren't always set in stone. Be determined to get what you want"
other Dearly Beloved variations make me think of "Hope" or "Total Peace" or "Joy"
@PeachyKitsune I cry hearing it it reminds me of my mom and she died in 2007. we used to play kingdom hearts together or watch my brother play it. I listen to this when I need her most =') crying but still happy
Every time when I buy the new Kingdom Hearts, before I actually play the game, I look forward to just listening to the new version of the song...
