Wow, people said this game was sad. Wonder what the soundtrack is like. *listens to this song* This is nice. Like dancing in a grassland of flowers. *watches the death scene* Pain. Death. Misery. Emptiness.
JLacay Yes, to think, not only to die, but to be completely forgotten from existence from the very people who knew you and are still living is a very depressing and frightening thought.
I love how they put parts of Kairi's theme in here. It really underlies Xion's theme, like it specifically represents that Sora's memories of Kairi are the basis of Xion.
Oh hey, this character seems really cool! She's usually sweet and docile, but kicks butt when you get on her bad side! Man, I hope nothing bad happens to- *CUE THE MUSIC AND DEATH CUTSCENE* ...Curse you Square Enix...just...freaking...curse you...
Gun Grave I didn't play either of those games yet (I just got into that series, and the only one I've played so far is the 8th one, which only had one or two depressing moments at the end...at least they didn't kill off my favorite character that time.), but I heard a lot about those scenes.
Guys in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Sora found out that Roxas, Ventus, Xion, Aqua, and Terra were alive, but they were stuck inside his heart. So Sora promised that he would somehow set them free. So yaaaay they are not dead =DDD
He may simply have to awaken the power to unlock hearts on his own, that way, he wouldn't have to be so reckless. And Aqua will probably be able to help as well, even though she's like 40.
a very poor explanation of why he said that is what he though being friends meant he left the organization so he couldnt be friends with axel any more then killed xion meaning he had no more friends and would be left alone
my theory is that roxas had ventus's heart inside him the whole time which is why roxas looks like ventus. Also multiple people in the games question whether roxas actually had a heart or not
yea that's true, when Ventus was killed his heart was split and made the nobody Roxas buy his heartless was (idk how to say it ) delivered to a young child Sora and Ventus heart was absorbed by Sora . which is why Roxas has a connection with Sora because Sora has the heartless heart of Ventus
Wow... another amazing arrangement. I love how it's all worked into the battle theme for that one boss, which means that one of my absolute favorite tracks was created out of three calming and introspective themes, making an energetic and emotional tune.
Kingdom hearts 358/2 days was the first kingdom hearts i have played, and i love it the music is just unbelievable the story is just masterpiece and the gameplay is also realy good ^^ i love it ^^ thanks for your upload of that genius piece of art :D
I don't know if people will see this. This is one of the few games that actually made me cry. I wonder if anyone is the same. also, who is listening to this in 2020?
I have so much memory of this game i always played it with a friend 5 years ago since that so much has changed and when i hear the songs of this game i remember this time and it makes me cry
In my opinion KH 358/2 Days is the best Kingdom Hearts game. You get to play as Roxas during his adventures in Organization 14. You get to play as any Organization member which is awesome. A challenging game, with an incredible story, and you get to use different Key Blades. The game developers could have made it where Roxas could only use OathKeeper and Oblivion. Instead if you find the right materials to synthesis, you can use all types of Key Blades. I have completed this game on Proud mode, one of the reason's I got an Nintendo DS was for this game.
Unfortunatley it also comes with its issues by being on a DS: - repetetive missions - lack of variety of enemies - shit boss design - reused assets for several bosses , enemies and even the super boss - not really challenging but just badly designed and annoying - lack of voice acting on the DS version, even tho i would never recommend to only watch the cutscenes But i kinda think the annoying gameplay fits since Roxas doesnt like it at all and you kinda get rewarded by seeing the gang on the clock tower together everytime you finish a mission. Also the idea behind having different attacks depending on what keyblade you have is rly cool and the whole customisation should rly return, it was so cool
@@twiphe4375 A good amount of these could be thrown at BBS too, even if in a modified form. And missions are subjective. I actually like them because they give fun checkmarks to fulfill instead of just "Okay, why are we even doing these things?" from most of the other games. The filler is properly integrated by fitting into how Roxas' view of the world develops over the course of the year, instead of just being pointless meandering and wasting time.
Gah I prefer this so much more. I love just sticking on this video and listening to the music. It's so relaxing that I don't even know it finishes. I may just set it in a playlist and loop it :D Well done, its awesome!!
I loved this game.... It made you so attached to the characters... And whenever i played this game.... the moment it played the Xion death theme... it always made me so sad... Because 1 knowing you caused it... and the fact that the game made you so attached to Xion... and then... she simply disappears from the game with that 1 tragic cut scene... and no matter how many times i play the game i always choke at that cut scene.... and i both love and hate kingdom for making me feel this... So personally i want to thank the kingdom hears Series... and this is because it are the only game series that ever made me so attached to the characters.... It was also the only game series that actually made me feel any type of emotion in 10 years... So thank you..... For reminding me of one of the moments in the game that actually made me feel emotion...
This song always makes me feel emotional. Xion is probably my favorite female character in KH and her story was so deep and sad. This song really brings that out and it's kind of my anthem for those hard times and loneliness I face in my life.
Why Xion ;~; she was just a puppet created for something evil... Well in the end she grew a heart and died because of it... And Roxas had to be the one who killed her... When I first killed Xion I don't feel the emotional impact as much because I had finally beaten her 2nd form which was a pain. But when I beat her a 2nd time the emotion really hit me
Beautiful, just beautiful, Xion's death was just so sad, it made me cry on the inside. The sparkles and Xion's last words made me nearly cry on the outside.
+Sora The Everlasting Sexy Adventurer. I can't remember what it was exactly, but apparently what they are saying in Japanese doesn't translate very well into english; it doesn' carry the connotations that the Japanese does. Someone told me that really what Roxas was asking implicitly was "Who is going to be my friend?" It was just lost in translation
+Mechaman5000 They definitely sounded kind dumb and naive, but it was his interpretation of friendship that made him say that. Roxas has a teenage brain but he's technically only been conscious for around a year. Axel told him that friends were people you hung out and had ice cream with, Roxas being socially inept and inexperienced interpreted that literally. So yeah, he sounded dumb, but there's an explanation for why he said that. Still would have been better if he said something more mature lol.
Yoko Shimomura Is THE GREATEST SOUNDTRACK COMPOSER I HAVE EVER HEARD! This song made me cry, I feel privileged to have the oppurtunity to have heard this song, even though I DON'T EVEN OWN A DS!
Aw, thanks! And you've got a cool icon too. I loved Dirge of Cerberus. May not have been the best shooter out there, but I loved the action. Especially transforming and then spamming the fireball! :D
yes, i know this is my third time commenting, sorry, but I just realized this sounds like it would come straight of of Trace Memory, if anyone's played. There's always a sweet violin in the background, and a piano at the more tender moments. Lol, great job capturing that essence in this track.
I'll never understand the mentality of someone who can dislike a track like this. Few films (let alone game-series) can claim to have pieces as emotionally-stirring as this.
"No!"he called quickly, seizing her limp hand. "Xion!"Roxas managed to breathe, thinking of the most precious memory he had"Let's have ice cream again! Just the three of us!" but his words could no longer reach her. She faded in a blinding light, leaving only a small shell behind. Roxas picked it up and eyed it. Xion loved seashells... she loved them... "Xion..."he said, his voice quivering with a stray tear. But how could a tear glisten down his cheek? How?
Kingdom Hearts had some really thought provoking music. I dont know if anyone else just stopped to listen to the music, but I know at least for myself, they always seemed to hit me in a way most music does not. This song in particular is really special to me, and i ifigure always will be because it makes me feel curious, melancholic and nostalgic all at the same time.
Just replayed the ending of this game to remind myself how it is, I was amazed at how much it impacted me, you can really feel what's going on, beautiful song too...
I think what really got me was when Sora saw a vision of Xion in his dream. One look at her and tears were streaming down his face, as if he instinctively felt the sadness that was a part of her. All he could ask was who she was, but you could tell he was hurting for her.
ive played lots of emotional games in my time like chrono trigger, Final Fantasy X, metal gear solid, and mother 3, but so far only two games have made me cry. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and this one, KH: 358/2 Days. this was one of the most tragic stories i've ever experienced in a video game. i sort of just fell apart inside when Xion died. but even though she never really existed, we'll never forget her.
This song reminds me that there are days when you are depressed and wanting to cry, but listen to it after that and it will feel like a song where you cannot stop smiling.
that line was roxas' representation of friendship because that is how he understands friendship through the words of axel, "friends eat ice cream together" so this line is more powerful than it was implied. It is how he knows to define a friend and even when i was 13 i understood that common man :P
@SamuelSongDongKim Oblivion also means "forgotten eternally; no longer existing, even in memory", and I'd say that fits Xion perfectly. Which is why it's her keyblade that became Oblivion. (She spoke to Riku through the keyblade when he wielded it, so it's probably her's.)
I cried SO hard the first time I heard this song. So sad... To be less than a nothing, doomed to nothing but a future of pain and sorrow... Can't even have friends... Likely one of the most tragic characters of all time.
@VisibleInk14 what i didnt understand was why Roxas spoke her name when she was dying (remembering her) and then couldn't remember her at memory skyscraper while talking to Riku, AND why Riku did remembered Xions name when no one is really suppose to since she was gone.
That's why I think Tetsuya Nomura really nails the "Nobody" concept on the head. I mean, what's worse than death, is to be forgotten...as if one never existed. All that was left of Xion was that shell and the Oblivion Keyblade. (her memories somehow manifested itself into the keyblade, or so I've read.)
As a kid I was a social outcast , everyone was trying to act older then they were while I was enjoying my childhood, now i'm 18 and over the years I learned what friendship truly is , I lost but also gained alot of friends , and I always put them above myself even though they failed to notice sometime , That's what friendship is puting yourself below your friends and helping them with everything even if they don't want to ,alot of people fail to see this i'm afraid...
What's worse than death...is to be forgotten. But Xion wasn't forgotten, there is still a node of her. That shell...in the opening of Kingdom Hearts II.
Xion- Nobody's Nobody, a figure that some say should not have existed in the first place, but will forever be alive in our hearts, and Sora's. May she Rest In Peace.
Exactly. That's how I feel as well. Growing up, I was a military brat, and lived on base housing. This meant that all of my neighbors and friends were all military brats as well. Either they moved away from me, or I moved away from them. All in all, I lacked a lot of social and familiar bonds that others make when they're just children, but this is why I try to make every social interaction important, even with acquaintances.
It IS a cool power. Capable of doing quite a lot. Opens portals through different worlds, gives you super strength, command heartless, and more. Of course people get along in Kingdom Hearts- it's an idealistic paradise. A place of wonder for children, and a place to recapture a spark of innocence for adults.
Wow, people said this game was sad. Wonder what the soundtrack is like.
*listens to this song*
This is nice. Like dancing in a grassland of flowers.
*watches the death scene*
Pain. Death. Misery. Emptiness.
Xion, probably one of the most saddest characters ever in Kingdom Hearts :(
poor master eraqus....
JLacay Yes, to think, not only to die, but to be completely forgotten from existence from the very people who knew you and are still living is a very depressing and frightening thought.
+Zinervawyrm At least the memories of her are still there, even if Sora can't access them.
Yep, the most tragic anyway.
Who's Xion?
I love how they put parts of Kairi's theme in here. It really underlies Xion's theme, like it specifically represents that Sora's memories of Kairi are the basis of Xion.
Roxas and Xion can feel emotions. It is part of their being special.
Oh hey, this character seems really cool! She's usually sweet and docile, but kicks butt when you get on her bad side! Man, I hope nothing bad happens to- *CUE THE MUSIC AND DEATH CUTSCENE*

Gun Grave IX had a better love story, but no sad stuff...
Do you remember what happened to Sora when he found out Kairi was in his heart... i really hope he doesnt pull that stunt again
He may simply have to awaken the power to unlock hearts on his own, that way, he wouldn't have to be so reckless. And Aqua will probably be able to help as well, even though she's like 40.
"Who will I have ice cream with?!"- Roxas
a very poor explanation of why he said that is what he though being friends meant he left the organization so he couldnt be friends with axel any more then killed xion meaning he had no more friends and would be left alone
yep. that emotional response showed that Roxas was a unique nobody since they are supposed to have no emotions.
my theory is that roxas had ventus's heart inside him the whole time which is why roxas looks like ventus. Also multiple people in the games question whether roxas actually had a heart or not
mostly axel i believe
yea that's true, when Ventus was killed his heart was split and made the nobody Roxas buy his heartless was (idk how to say it ) delivered to a young child Sora and Ventus heart was absorbed by Sora . which is why Roxas has a connection with Sora because Sora has the heartless heart of Ventus
Am I the only one who goes into deep thought when this song is played?? Beautiful song, Awesome game!!!
you are not alone my friend and hold this "W" right quick
w??
+Ana Noma it means winner
ohhhh oh oh.ok haha xD thanks
+Ana Noma keep collecting my friend, keep collecting😌
Wow... another amazing arrangement. I love how it's all worked into the battle theme for that one boss, which means that one of my absolute favorite tracks was created out of three calming and introspective themes, making an energetic and emotional tune.

Who am I? Who am I? I'm a puppet in their game!
Who am I who am I , who am I supposed to be.

Blanka Galkowska It's an actual video by Lizz Robinett. Here's the page: ruclips.net/video/QbLMOAOoqvk/видео.html
Thanks for uploading!! Yours is the clearest audio among all the others.. Definitely the best one. And my heart is shattering in seconds.. T-T
Xion's themes are some of the few songs that can just make me start crying...
VERY impressive remix. The emotion and mood of this piece blew me away.
Musique pour la tristesse de Xion :'( The best music of Kingdom Hearts, for the best character.
This is fantastic thanks for doing this ^_^ Yoko would be proud you've done her great justice with this 5/5
La historia de xion dejó un hueco en mi corazón :'c

Lovely arrangement. It's definitely a beautiful piece of KH music. 8D
DAMN IT, XION!!! :'(
WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!
i know right
I forgot to mention what an awesome birthday present this was. I listened to this the day you posted it and loved it.
Xion in my mind if you ever return Ill eat sea salt icecream with you
I have so much memory of this game i always played it with a friend 5 years ago since that so much has changed and when i hear the songs of this game i remember this time and it makes me cry

calm yet epic

Who's there?
Uh...I think I've forgotten...
I've been writing while listening to this and Aqua's theme all day.
I've never written this much poetry in one day.
Thank you once again KH.
This was the saddest story ever it actually made me cry of how unfair it was for xion...I still love kingdom hearts
This theme makes me want to cry everytime I listen to it..I kind of tells Xions life, without even spilling a word.
I loved this game.... It made you so attached to the characters... And whenever i played this game.... the moment it played the Xion death theme... it always made me so sad... Odd Kill 35 you'd love valkyrie profile: lenneth then
Odd Kill 35 also a square enix game

Just realized the time for this is 4:04...because Error no Xion found. ;~;

oh my god. I cry at this song. it's so beautiful. no songs make me cry like the kingdom hearsts songs. beatiful. just beautiful. ( ;

Who's there?
Xion
Xion who?
XD
fiRST OF ALL HOW DARE YOU.
**summons oblivion** so where do you want to be buried
Where xion is-
OH WAIT
OMG THIS COMMENT
Y u so rude bro?
Beautiful, just beautiful, Xion's death was just so sad, it made me cry on the inside. The sparkles and Xion's last words made me nearly cry on the outside.
This song make me sad.....
I don't normally cry when listening to music, but this brought me to tears, its way awesome
XION FOREVER
His last words to her....
Were pretty stupid
+Sora The Everlasting Sexy Adventurer. They're symbolic. But then again, Kingdom Hearts isn't exactly easy to take seriously.
+Jenna Kelner I get that
But still
Really should've rephrased that
+Sora The Everlasting Sexy Adventurer. I can't remember what it was exactly, but apparently what they are saying in Japanese doesn't translate very well into english; it doesn' carry the connotations that the Japanese does. Someone told me that really what Roxas was asking implicitly was "Who is going to be my friend?" It was just lost in translation
+TupacLives Okay
Now that should've been said in the English dub
+Mechaman5000 They definitely sounded kind dumb and naive, but it was his interpretation of friendship that made him say that. Roxas has a teenage brain but he's technically only been conscious for around a year. Axel told him that friends were people you hung out and had ice cream with, Roxas being socially inept and inexperienced interpreted that literally.
So yeah, he sounded dumb, but there's an explanation for why he said that. Still would have been better if he said something more mature lol.
; A; I've been looking for this everywhere! Thank you so much!
The beginning of this song makes me wanna cry! I may not be a huge fan of Xion, but this is one of my favorite songs from Kingdom Hearts.
yes, i know this is my third time commenting, sorry, but I just realized this sounds like it would come straight of of Trace Memory, if anyone's played. There's always a sweet violin in the background, and a piano at the more tender moments. Lol, great job capturing that essence in this track.
I loved it. It made me light my candles in the middle of the night :)
It's very nocturnal and mellow.
I'll never understand the mentality of someone who can dislike a track like this. Few films (let alone game-series) can claim to have pieces as emotionally-stirring as this.
so this the theme that everyone loves so much..its really nice, sounds like a music box
FINALLY. This is the version I like. So soothing. I swear, the other versions give me a headache.
Jakah016 your arrangements are really beautiful :)
How?
I love this sooooo much!!! It reminds me of the last scene with Xion and Roxas!
Kingdom Hearts had some really thought provoking music. I dont know if anyone else just stopped to listen to the music, but I know at least for myself, they always seemed to hit me in a way most music does not. This song in particular is really special to me, and i ifigure always will be because it makes me feel curious, melancholic and nostalgic all at the same time.
it sounds more mysterious then heartwarming. still fantastic either way.
Just replayed the ending of this game to remind myself how it is, I was amazed at how much it impacted me, you can really feel what's going on, beautiful song too...
O.o that was a celesta? I agree, the effects are really unique. It's like listening to it being played out of a musical box...
I think what really got me was when Sora saw a vision of Xion in his dream. One look at her and tears were streaming down his face, as if he instinctively felt the sadness that was a part of her. All he could ask was who she was, but you could tell he was hurting for her.
Man, when I was younger this song made me a bit sad. Now that years have passed and I've been forgotten by many, this song makes me tear up.
i LOVE this theme. Love KH, and, of course love celesta (this bells-sounds instrument ;))...
So beautiful. So...
ive played lots of emotional games in my time like chrono trigger, Final Fantasy X, metal gear solid, and mother 3, but so far only two games have made me cry. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and this one, KH: 358/2 Days. this was one of the most tragic stories i've ever experienced in a video game. i sort of just fell apart inside when Xion died. but even though she never really existed, we'll never forget her.
This song reminds me that there are days when you are depressed and wanting to cry, but listen to it after that and it will feel like a song where you cannot stop smiling.
feeling so calm listening to it...
@LEGOl3OY
hahaha awesome! Nice find! It was really cool how the music faded into the rain. Quite emotional. :)
Awesome work, Jakah !
@Jakah016 Well deserved "almost-100,000 views" i'll add. You did a very beautiful job with this.
that line was roxas' representation of friendship because that is how he understands friendship through the words of axel, "friends eat ice cream together" so this line is more powerful than it was implied. It is how he knows to define a friend and even when i was 13 i understood that common man :P
Lovely arrangement! It's beautiful.
Wow you re-did the arrangement (if I got it right)? I LOVE IT!!!! ;___; SO BEAUTIFUL!!
I remember when she asked Roxas if she could be a FRIEND. Yes, Xion, you can be. And you were a great one, too. You were amazing.
@SamuelSongDongKim
Oblivion also means "forgotten eternally; no longer existing, even in memory", and I'd say that fits Xion perfectly. Which is why it's her keyblade that became Oblivion. (She spoke to Riku through the keyblade when he wielded it, so it's probably her's.)
Bromargeddon you are one of the smartest people ive seen in a long time
this is really beautiful.
If there ever was a video game character I fell in love with, it was Xion. She made the game so amazing.
so sadand and replay it over and over i lovbe the game and i always cry great song
I cried SO hard the first time I heard this song. So sad... To be less than a nothing, doomed to nothing but a future of pain and sorrow... Can't even have friends...
Likely one of the most tragic characters of all time.
Wow.. this sounds so nice.. i listen to this song as i sleep at night ^_^
"Who will I have Ice Cream with?!"
that SO runied the end...
this song is so beautiful
For some reason...as soon as this started playing...I felt the need to cry.
@VisibleInk14 what i didnt understand was why Roxas spoke her name when she was dying (remembering her) and then couldn't remember her at memory skyscraper while talking to Riku, AND why Riku did remembered Xions name when no one is really suppose to since she was gone.
"who will i have ice cream with?"
aww :c this is one of the saddest themes in the series. i cried when she disappeared!
kh is one of those things that you just don't wanna end
That's why I think Tetsuya Nomura really nails the "Nobody" concept on the head. I mean, what's worse than death, is to be forgotten...as if one never existed.
All that was left of Xion was that shell and the Oblivion Keyblade. (her memories somehow manifested itself into the keyblade, or so I've read.)
"You're both... my best friends...
Never forget...
That's the truth."
This is a great song man thank you dude
I cried during this scene. I still shed a tear when I hear this music.
Two saddest things about a Kingom Hearts game-its ultra sad ending and having to wait for the next one to come out and grace us with its epicness
Sounds so Beautiful....
One of the most Beatiful KH songs EVER!!!
What's worse than death...is to be forgotten.
But Xion wasn't forgotten, there is still a node of her.
That shell...in the opening of Kingdom Hearts II.
this is why kingdom hearts is my favorite videogame series
Xion... who'll I go icecream with ?
Even if you hate Xion or love her, you can never forget about this theme song.
Her theme song is like the saddest theme song of all theme songs.
when i hear the "looks like my summer vacation, is over" i just hear the CSI scream in the opening music.
Xion.. I never forget you. :'/
Jérémie Alleman who's that?
*weeps inside*
Hum.. I don't remember who are Xion.. So, do you want an ice cream ?
Xion- Nobody's Nobody, a figure that some say should not have existed in the first place, but will forever be alive in our hearts, and Sora's. May she Rest In Peace.
