Technically Xion or Roxas had to die. Neither could exist unless the other died. An I thought technically Roxa's final fight was with Sora?
+Jacob Triplett It was. The only reason Roxas appeared in Dream Drop Distance, is because Sora was traversing through his deepest dreams and since Roxas is connected to Sora, he appeared.
+Jacob Triplett Roxas and Xion kind of both belonged to Sora, in a sense. This fight is basically you fighting yourself. After all, Xion was meant to absorb Roxas's power. That's why she can wield a key blade. All the missions she went with you on was that so she could absorb your power. In the process she also absorbed Sora/Roxas' memories. So technically, you're fighting Sora, who in turn is you, who is basically Sora. So yeah, you're fighting a female Sora.
Confused? so am I xD
He also fought Riku who was technically his best friend since Roxas technically is Sora. After that fight, Riku gave up his identity and essentially 'died'.
I've been listening to this since I was about 12 years old. I'm now 19 and still come back to this because it's just so awesome

I believe you capture the essence of Xion's battle with Roxas here. Its Fercious and unrelenting, but sad at its core. It really has a sense of finality and farewell at the slower parts, like the battle has to be fought but both don't want to hurt the other. You really can't picture the fight taking place anywhere else besides at sunset, high in the air. It's not the original, but it's a completely different song, and it's good. This is my favorite of your work. Good Job.

Roxas's tragedy is like taking time poison without actually knowing it...and then suffering when you do find out.
Xion's is like...stabbing yourself in the heart multiple times purposely so somebody else can live their life.

Seriously, despite "Who else will I eat ice-cream with?" Xions death is still one of the saddest moments in the Kingdom Hearts series for me and I still feel bad for her and even nearly shed a tear for her. Or at least Axel and Roxas.

To make something clear: Almost everything Sora learned in KH1 and CoM was self-thaught. He didn't have years of training like Ven or a proper introduction to magic and combat and missions every day like Roxas. Sora was just given a keyblade and he fought the heartless wothout any experience, which shows that Sora is a natural with the keyblade. He has the greatest potential out of the three, and even if he is the weakest now (which is not sure after 3D), he will surpass them by the time of KH3

its things like this that make me wish Kingdom Hearts would never end. its just so emotional and captivating. the depth and intrigue in the series makes you feel something...strong. to those who havent played, it just sounds like overdramatic babble, but its true. its just so deep and draws you in with such a heartfelt connection to the characters and their struggles. you fall in love so deeply, and thats why when the series comes to an end, ill be an emotional, sobbing wreck for weeks. I've spotted someone trying to re-upload this remix and claim it as theirs. I have a problem with that. I'm not 100% sure about RUclips's policy around re-uploads of unofficial remixes of songs from video games, otherwise I would've just hit the "report" button and been done with it. If any of you who see this do know of a way to officially get this re-uploader in trouble, please do so.
I know it is 3 years later, but I came across this song again and found this comment. So, I feel like I should address it. The person that uploaded it was me and I was acting stupid. I was somewhat young at the time and thought, "this is so cool, I want to upload it and get everyone else to think I'm cool too!" or some stupid shit like that. It was quite idiotic and I realized that almost immediately, especially when I saw a comment on the video concerning the reupload. I immediately took down the video afterward. Even to this day, I still cringe whenever I hear this song because of that memory. Thank you for doing the right thing back then because if you hadn't, it might've been someone else at a later time to point it out and I would have gotten in major trouble. I suppose I deserve that major trouble though lol.

Well, I think Roxas has more potential, just due to having Ventus' heart, who'm was a very fast, agile and strong swordsman for his age, Sora is really gentle, fast and agile too, yet roxas has the upper hand due to the fact he learned how to dual wield, that gave him an advantage because he can attack from 2 directions at once, but Sora has the ability to summon back his Keyblade if it's taken, wich is what caught Roxas off-gaurd and got him to lose.. Atleast that's my opinion about it.

I'm not sure whether or not any of the data characters in Re:Coded are really all that accurate to their originals, so I can't say.
I'd say Roxas should be more skilled and experienced than Sora, he spends a year or so daily running around killing heartless and other enemies while Sora was fighting around the worlds for a couple months at best and then spends a year asleep.
I think Sora won because of main character syndrome. The main character always wins, no matter how little sense it makes.
Wow, just wow. I usually don't like remixes, but . . . two thumbs up. This was awesome.
Xion was by far the hardest fight (emotionally) in the whole series. She didnt want to fight, but she knew that in order to stop Xemnas' plot Roxas had to free his and Sora's memories from her by defeating her.

I think some people are looking at things wrongs. Being a strong keyblader is certainly important and Sora probably isn't the strongest in that area. No, what matters in Kingdom Hearts is of course the heart. Sora has the strongest heart. That's why he's the main character, that's why he's the one meant to save everyone.
I find it perfect that even though yes, Sora has the strongest heart, he still can give into darkness. He ain't no princess! XD
Sora may not be the strongest keyblade wielder... but he has certainly mastered the use of hair gel...
Dancing Wind Sora's heart being TOO pure is kinda the problem with him. He barely has any darkness in him and doesn't use what he does have willingly, so he has no damned clue how to really resist it when the Organization boosts that darkness massively. Sora doesn't so much as give in as be overwhelmed.
he may have the strongest heart however KH DDD showed us he doesnt know how to Balance it, which could lead to problems for him.
I'll believe that SORA will save us when he stops swinging it around like a pool noodle and uses the keyblade like a sword

well roxas is more skilled than sora he uses dual keyblades and hes more tough so roxas is more skilled than sora know what i mean
It's the opposite. Roxas allowed what was happening make him angry, while Sora never once allowed the harrowing events change his ways or outlook on life. And despite using two keyblades Roxas lost to Sora who wields one. Also, he only wields two due to his connection to Sora and Ventus, which I won't spoil.

This song was the perfect finale to one of my favorite games. Such an emotional theme for the emotional end of an emotional character.
Slight? I agree though. I love how you can tell it's still tragic but it's intense now...The original version has a epic sound full of tragedy and finality while this one is more like an intense, tragic battle.
