"I lost my wrench somewhere in there..." Classic! It's like the ol' surgeon's line, "I lost my watch somewhere in there, and will have find it later!" --- But my favorite line of yours is, "I dunno, I have no idea what it'll look like. We'll see... So let's get started!"
Lol! I need to be as relaxed and confident as this man is. The older I get the more I learned do not sweat the small details! Just dont give up!! I am glad I found his channel.
A suggestion on header wrap. Start at the bottom and wrap toward the engine. The overlaps will be more water removal and air movement friendly. Just an observation after years of wrapping.
I have similar tail lights I usually use, and I either spray the inside with chrome paint or line them with foil tape as it boosts the light from them like 200%. That fuel connection lol enough to drive a fella to drink lol.
I really liked the liked the part of the video where you said you could buy the halogen conversion but "I don't know why I can't make my own." That is a attitude I respect and admire. I don't know how many times over the years I have done similar things myself because of availability, cost, or to keep things moving along. I see Pablo is still supervising your work. Excellent video series.
All good as always. You have built a beautiful 37, it just looks right. Thanks for sharing. Oh, just so you know, Pablo and I are standing by for the check ride... Love the ending. Give the boys a little hug for me.
Brent, when you said that the leaky fitting may have been an aircraft part... I immediately thought of those 737's that crashed where the NTSB discovered that the cause was due to fuel loss as a result of "leaky" joint components that Boeing had farmed out to China to manufacture for them. No amount of tightening will work because the thread spaces of the Chinese built and standard American threading are off by microns. They don't show until pressure is put through them. Get rid of that part (even if you have to tap out your own part) as the only thing which will happen is the road vibrations will eventually loosen the part and trigger a fire.
@@teneresand Yes he did & it looks like an unbranded piece. I have all brand named AN fittings on my ‘32 Ford using the correct hardware, braided & stainless pipes and no problems. The trouble with a lot of inexpensive Chinese parts is the pitch of the threads are never consistent when compared to well known products made in their countries of origin. It’s the old adage “Buyer Beware”, you get what you pay for.
It is always a good idea to leave some tools, bolts and the like in the engine compartment. When you hear weird noises while driving, you at least know what it is ...
The Glass lenses looked a bit cloudy, but the lights are good. Gas Splashing around a hot engine is a great way to meet the guys from the fire department. Carry a good extinguisher till you get it absolutely foolproof. Cheers
Did ya find the wrench you dropped? Good idea with the headlights. I don’t think anyone will notice if they are a bit wonkie but you and maybe all of us but we wont tell. I would love to see some interior work next. Carpet Seat upholstery, dash and console, heater, stereo shift knob and maybe some nice upholstered door panels…😏😊
Next time you may want to consider painting the inner housing with silver paint. It really helps the intensity of the lights. Great build, I am enjoying this series.
Plumber's tip, you don't fix a leak by over tightening. It crushes the flair, or the furl or the fitting and it's ruined. First-try for a leak, take it apart and re dope it (thread sealant) (Rector Seal 5) and tighten it just past snug. If it doesn't seal, snug it a hair more if it's new. If it was old and already leaking replace the fitting and re-do the flair and start over. Nice job on the lights. Question: Could you put the GPS sensor for the speedo inside the top radiator shell? Or does it have to be exposed like that? I think it spoils the look of your master cylinder. That nice chrome lid should be seen unobstructed. Just my observation. Thanks Brent Great video. I love this hot rod. 👍😎🍺
After several rounds of mechanics’s plinko, the fuel leak was finally rectified! I ran my front marker lights through relays,so signals flash the markers “off”. Works well. The headlights turned out nice! Thanks Brent!
Oh Man Alive Sounds sweet Digging how Kool looking the flow of the hole build is. Thanks for sharing So much good stuff. Green engine block looks right at home
Getting so close, going to be happy and kind of sad to see it come to an end. This has been a great build and even greater to watch it as you have created a Diamond out of a stone. Thanks for sharing!
Something about 1/2" wrenches, they always seem to disappear into Neverland. The retro fit on the lights turned out great, almost time to hit the road!
Man does that truck looks good! I saw you needed a radiator cap on the hole on the big grill, something low profile maybe just to fill the hole to make it look more finished. What a difference a day makes, you putting the finishing touches on that beast. Sounds so awesome and idles so slow, almost sounds like a Harley. God Bless
I always like to put that chrome furnace tape in my tail light housings...but yours look nice and bright...also gaskets or weep holes in the head lights maybe..lookin good
Hey Buddy. You make each step like if it's easy and things just moving on. Amazing job when you remember the first episode. As always, thanks for showing, sharing, laughing.
I’m really impressed with your work ethic and fabrication on this truck I’m enjoying watching you take it from a bunch of parts into this cool truck great job Brent
You finished up a lot of misc items! It's amazing how you built/put this truck together. You had a vision and brought it to fruition. I'm looking for to the first drive...as I'm sure Pablo is too. It looks awesome Brent!
HOLY GOBSMACKARONI! Are those NEW tires I see on that ROD? Why, YES, I believe they are! Hey, Brent, just because I don't always leave a comment doesn't mean I'm not monitoring what you're doing. You're doing such a nice build with this project. I Approve and Pablo is in the Groove.
Great video, fuel leak needs more attention. Lights are looking good, outstanding wiring job. Pablo and Buddy no where to be seen, tell them hi from their fan club. I like the cab lights and tail lights, very cool.
How sweet did that turn out,, wow what a cool truck, been missing Pablo in the shop, hope he's OK, can't wait to see this one take its first ride, I'm sure Pablo is wait for his ride too, awesome job Brent, I love it 😀
Even with top copped and the body lower, you kept the classic styling of the time period. I like the cover on the coil. Looking forward to see what you are going to do on the rims where you are going to paint them or just seal them. Green widow tint goes with colors well.
How well can you see the indicators when the headlights are on Brent? Separately they look awesome. It looks fantastic cant wait to see it making dusty trails
This was my exact thought, on some modern cars when the indicators are sited too close to the headlights, the indicators are indistinguishable at night. These, although nice separately, could well be impractical in use.
From a pile of spare parts and body parts to a truck.she is looking great. i like the paint job with the green sparkly line on it .those lights ,sure are bright .
I'd still like to see a hood top piece to continue the line from the cowl to the radiator shroud. It could also have a bead-roll on the sides to continue the green metal flake. I like the truck. It's very cool, and I've enjoyed the videos. Thanks.
another excellent video, I like how you set up your headlight / turn signal and tail light assembly, they look cool! the fuel leak was tricky but you sussed it...but dang! she's almost there! excellent job Brent :)
Awesome job Brent. I really like the way you repurpose old stuff and give it new life. Kind of feels like you are giving multiple cars a purpose again. Mother's polish is great for so many things...chrome, stainless, aluminum, you name it. Also just fyi. I like to use the 2057 bulb on all of my old cars, as it's just a little brighter than the 1157. And most old cars had a real problem with dull taillights/brake lights. Thanks for the video
You should paint the back of the lights lens white to match the truck. Other then that you're a talented guy , all the cars you do be looking cool and you make them out of scrap parts
Did we ever find the "missing" wrench and assorted bolts, nuts? I also noticed those two copper fittings underneath the carbs I was tempted to pluck out from the screen (LOL). The lights were sheer perfection - almost ready. The room is STOKED to see this bad-boy roll down the road!!!
Brent, again congratulations for a fine job, I know from experience that the finishing details take a long time. I believe that a useful detail you should add is a couple of horizontal rods from the top of the grill to the firewall. They would stabilize the grill in rougher roads and provide a more secure mounting for this important item. Many cars of the period had them.
As journeyman of hose/tube manufacturing... believe that Tube your using has some micro crack no matter how much you try to tighten may not seal. that why we replace everything when critical part on Aircraft has leak/seep drip. just aint worth the hassle to trying, least you figured it out.
That look pretty cool no slides your headlights are bright as hell I like the idea with a turned signal up behind the Light lens did you find your wrench haha
I like the head-lites, and taillights! Turned out great! I didn't see your buddies with you? Are you going to sand blast the artillery wheels and paint them? You've gotten this far, why not, l think white with a couple green stripes??? That would be cool, nice content and nice video, thanks Brent, jim 😀 👍
Hey Brent good job on fixing that gas leak, wiring everything you wired up including the front lights the back lights FYI maybe you should clean it inside of the front light globe those halogen lamps will shine brighter just a suggestion good job man
It’s always a pleasure watching your thought process come to life Brent, it’s really amazing. You’ve definitely got continuity between your brain and fingertips, no electrical pun intended. I believe I’m more excited than Pablo to finally see that out on the road, I know my tails wagging lol. Excellent work and content as usual my friend, looking forward to the next vid! Thanks for taking us along! ✌🏼
Brent ... I love how you can laugh off misfires ... Not throwing tools around the shop makes life so much less stressful. Well done!!!
"I lost my wrench somewhere in there..." Classic! It's like the ol' surgeon's line, "I lost my watch somewhere in there, and will have find it later!" --- But my favorite line of yours is, "I dunno, I have no idea what it'll look like. We'll see... So let's get started!"

That was some crazy fuel leak … genius work on the headlights…. Won’t be long before it’s on the road!
A suggestion on header wrap. Start at the bottom and wrap toward the engine. The overlaps will be more water removal and air movement friendly. Just an observation after years of wrapping.
Looking like a sweet hot rod. Digging the tunnel ram and 2 carb setup.
She’s really coming along quickly now. Getting closer to Pablo’s ride time in the ‘37.
Good afternoon friend. It is always good to see the build on the pickup.
I always give you a thumbs up before watching the video because have such interesting builds. Always great videos.
Me too!

Same!

Me too👍🏿
Hate to see it coming near to the end of this build,it was so much fun,but I know the next one will be as good or even better

Cheez dude, lights for nothin, and signals for free. The creative magic rolls again. Thanks for taken us along.
Turn signals in the head lights is an awesome idea, keeps truck clean of extra wiring. Very cool looking truck.
This Spring you're gonna have a blast. So glad you don't edit the blunders and you have a great sense of humor. I mean what can you do?
Watched this build from the beginning. This little hot rod pick up is looking great!
All good as always. You have built a beautiful 37, it just looks right. Thanks for sharing. Oh, just so you know, Pablo and I are standing by for the check ride... Love the ending. Give the boys a little hug for me.
Deluxe 37 Ford pickup is going to be a real head turner. Been a lot of fun watching this build. Great job.

@briquetaverne I believe he said the fitting was for an " Air Line " ?
@@teneresand I agree. I was thinking he meant "pneumatic" air line not TWA Airline.
That’s what he said. “ air line “ not ✈️ ! 😆

Really shaping up nicely, Brent great ideas with all the lights and don’t forget to get the magnet out and find the wrench you lost 😉👍🏻
You live in Canada so finding the right Fox Tail should be easy, and a small whip antenna! The truck is getting look! Fine job sir!
It is always a good idea to leave some tools, bolts and the like in the engine compartment. When you hear weird noises while driving, you at least know what it is ...
Experience is indeed a great teacher, we’ve all done it before.

Loving the tail light style. Looking awesome in white with the green.
Old technology connecting lights kept simple unlike the modern hi tech alternatives today costing hundreds. They do the job well. Joe
Well....If a fella has all the Bits n Bob's, this is how he'd make a Hot Rod!!! That " Hot White" paint looks Great ! 💥🌠💥🌠💥
Next time you may want to consider painting the inner housing with silver paint. It really helps the intensity of the lights. Great build, I am enjoying this series.
Easy enough to go back to when buttoning up the build, no?
Plumber's tip, you don't fix a leak by over tightening. It crushes the flair, or the furl or the fitting and it's ruined. love the old style lights, really loved how the reflectors shined up
I love the way "simple" is always the best way. Great work Brent, you are a genius & an inspiration Mate. Billy J.... Queensland, Australia
Oh Man Alive Sounds sweet Digging how Kool looking the flow of the hole build is.

The lights portion on regular speed. Loved that.
Getting so close, going to be happy and kind of sad to see it come to an end. This has been a great build and even greater to watch it as you have created a Diamond out of a stone. Thanks for sharing!
Nice headlight conversion, I hate a flare leak, lookin killer Brett
Leave the wrench. Always good to have a road 1/2" with you. I drove a car from BC to Winterpeg, and found a 10mm sitting on the fender well 👍
Something about 1/2" wrenches, they always seem to disappear into Neverland. The retro fit on the lights turned out great, almost time to hit the road!

That pile of trash on the floor in front of the truck looks like my wiring harness! 🤣 Looking good Brent!
Close to being done, been a great build.
thats going to be a sick ride when your done!
I always like to put that chrome furnace tape in my tail light housings...but yours look nice and bright...also gaskets or weep holes in the head lights maybe..lookin good

It’s so close you can nearly taste it, the integrated signals in the headlights is a really nice touch.

small block chevy's back in the 60's used to have the plug wires running up through (behind) the motor mounts, that may be why they are so long

How many guys would say the same thing, "yah, cracked", just as I thought. Job you did so far is way cool.
