Hi. It is really a wonderful piece. The dagger is definitely an original. F.W Höller is a weapons manufacturer from Solingen Germany that still produces knives to this day. "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything for Germany) was the slogan of the SA (Sturmabteilung). The chairman was Ernst Röhm. The dagger of the Waffen SS had a black handle and the words "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" (My honor is loyal) on the blade. Heinrich Himmler was chairman of the SS. Thank you for showing. I wish you a good start into the new year. Greetings from Germany Andreas
It looks like an authentic piece, hoping it is. I was born in Germany in 1951, but sadly I do not have much knowledge about my birthplace. I can only say I wish I had pictures of my Grandfathers and Uncles from the Wars, especially WWl. We were from Western Ukraine across the river from Poland, and escaped from the Russians. The 77th anniversary our exodus will be this Friday Christmas Eve. My father always talked about a portrait picture of my Grandfather in full military uniform, prior to 1914, under Kaiser Wilhelm. My grandfather was a Dragooner, or mounted soldier, and was badly wounded and left for dead, but miraculously survived. We were Farmers of German descent and had to live under the Nazi rule after they invaded Poland and Ukraine in 1939, and then the takeover of Ukraine by the Communists. All being said it was a dream of mine to find that picture of my Grandfather, but, sadly no success. My father said an Aunt of his might have had it. But when the Russians came that Christmas night, they were taking no prisoners, because Stalin said they could do what they wanted to them. Everything they owned was left behind. It was a horror story of unimaginable events. This is why we are here in the USA. My Grandfather said "I want to die a free man". You will not find this in History books.
Most common Nazi SA Daggers, have nickel silver metal parts and black African Ebony wood handles. Some have aluminum instead of Nickel Silver and that's because they where made from different makers and in different years. There is a RUclips channel, where an old Nazi gear collector, shows and explains everything about these daggers. He owns literally rooms full of these daggers!!! I just can't recall his RUclips channel name, but I'm sure you can easily find it.
So these things are an oddity. They were presentation pieces made of pretty poor quality, especially the later ones. Whats off about them is that while pretty much all were made in Solingen, they were made by a bunch of different makers. On the back where you see the manufacturer name, you will see others like, Carl Eickhorn, Tiger, F & A Helbig, Eugen Scheidt, GL Koller Nachf, Paul Seilheimer, Eugen Haering and others. The little medallion you're missing is the SA runes button. The early made Eickhorn blades is great condition can go for close to 2 grand.
Right with the SA getting knee capped in 1934 I'm not sure how many more were made afterwards the truth is I'm a history freak. I'm going to keep it regardless but would be cool if it was authentic. Mainly because my grandfather still had two Nazi bullets in him when he finally passed in 89.
I was born in 1953 and I started going flea markets in the early 70s. I have seen German daggers throughout those years and I could kick myself in the ass for not buying one whether or not that one is authentic every collector is wishing they could own it.
It’s an original dagger Brother and only the special forces got that dagger nobody else in the army was allowed to wear it, and it’s worth a lot of money if you find a collector , take care brother love you ❤️
Real or Not that is one cool piece of steel to have I sure can’t help ya, but I do appreciate ya sharing it I can’t help but think it very well is authentic, but again I do not know
It’s a real one. One of the first things to look for is the edges of the eagle wings on the handle- if they are straight edged it’s a fake. Yours has rounded feathers so the handle is genuine and I think the whole thing is genuine.
Hi, you have the original SA dagger in your hands, it is an early model, there is a manufacturer's logo on the back but I can't read it, your dagger was made in the years 1933-1935. The handle is missing the enamel sign SA because the handle is damaged. The lower guard touching the blade is badly turned, the county mark (Wa) must be on the same side as the manufacturer's logo on the blade. The blade has a damaged tip, but the etching ALLES FUR DEUTSCHLAND is still nicely visible on it
@@ogoriginalgrandma760 These daggers in top condition are expensive, an early model with a case goes from 1150 to 1400 dollars, here in Europe they go from 1000 to 1600 euros depending on the condition.
My grandfather had a small fixed blade from that same maker from pre WWI. It appears to be the same tang stamp. Not saying it is a real one but that was a real tang stamp from the period.
Looks like a original Sturmabteilung Dagger. you still speak better german than our new Foreign Politics Minister (or whatever thats called in english) Annalena :-D
If it’s a replica, which I don’t think it is,it looks better and cooler than a original, lol. Looks real to me. Umlaut is the dots above a vowel, lol. I took German too, lol. It’s good to see someone else jump on this bandwagon, lol.
Looks real. Need to talk to Tom Whitman. He is the guy to tell you 100% for sure but it looks like an original SA with the nickel fittings. Which is correct for a Holler of that time period.
It does appear to be real SA dagger , yes etching normally points that it is authentic my Granda Ma (OMA) was 18 when WW2 started, and my mom was born last year war of WW2
mine is almost brand new . your looks to have been destroyed by a young boy in the 50s tip is broken handle is broken looks to have been thrown into a tree at one time mine was over 600 dollars 15 years ago
Scab, please check out this very interesting well-done video about the Nazi Dagger - ruclips.net/video/wz_Q-Y7V3FQ/видео.html This video was done by Jorge Sprave.
