There’s a famous photo of a Marine on Iwo Jima with one of these stuffed into his ammo belt. They were certainly used in WW2 but in very limited numbers.
Nice pick up Thomas! 👍 Our military and collector market is on this weekend . I’m looking for SMLE wood to restore one of my sporter 303’s. Prices are stupid atm . Cheers mate . 🇺🇸🇦🇺🇦🇺🇺🇸
Thank you kindly! And good luck getting your rifle restored! Had a really hard time with a cracked SMLE stock a couple years ago myself, original stocks just don’t pop up that often

Thomas love your videos. Thanks for doing them.
Thanks for watching! More are always on the way 👍🏻
Nice video! Can we get a collection tour? The gun room looks great
I’ve done a couple gun room tour videos, but I may do a complete collection walkthrough soon 👍🏻
I actually got one of these knifes except mine is a 1918 model
An ungentlemanly weapon for a most ungentlemanly conflict.
Well said
Without the rum ration most attacks would have been impossible, I was told. You had to get the men fighting drunk beforehand.
The great war just proved why we all needed the ganeva convention
I own one it's pretty awesome, and still very much needle sharp.
Nice pick up Thomas! 👍

Thanks mate .
I remember that video.
i have the dragons teeth model in very good condition i have it since 1987
Very nice ! Thanks for the video . How much did you get this one for ?
Thanks for watching! About $275 if my memory serves
I saw a photo of the trench knife where the pyramid knuckles werent present but rather the knuckles were seperated....was that the dragon teeth
If I am understanding your description correctly yes, it looks like wavy protrusions on both edges of the knuckle guard
The meanest weapon in world war 1 I was Told was the short shovel ,which everyone had ,🇬🇧
Putting an edge on shovels was definitely a mean adaptation
I just picked one up with a 1918 sheath for $300. Did I do good?
You definitely did good, $500 without a sheath wouldn’t be that unreasonable
@@GreatNorthwestWeaponryI just payed 550 for one without a sheath 😅
Yeah that tracks! Still a darn cool find, they don’t pop up all that often
How much for that ? 150 or 400
Closer to $600, and they are often more than that
