I bought the very first sirui apsc anamorphic.. And I wanted to buy sirui just because of that nostalgia. But then I feel like is definitely better to have PL mount lenses. So I wanted to get the remus. Now I feel like I would actually use this laowa anamorphics way more for the kind of work I do. Will be saving some money to get the set.

Anamorphic is the new DOF. Pople just refuse to get it. These ones look ok. Thans for review!

any chance you tested if these work with a speedbooster on smaller sensors?

I only tested on the fx3 and fx6, but they’re just a PL mount and fully manual, so you can typically adapt them to whatever you need

the only people who complain about pincushion are “videographers” whose pinnacle is an FX3, real estate jobs and Shape accessories. Nanomorphs and Master Anamorphics share the same general mid-Anamorphic design. And guess what? Master Anamorphics also display pincushion distortion, as opposed to the Blazars nauseating barrel distortion.
edit: good review though. nice work.
These are the best performing large format Anamorphics available in their price range - there’s no shame in admitting it.
