Beautiful car! I have an Infrared/White (VIN 1614). The LE color is growing on me. Want to keep mine comfy, but looking forward to some mods once they come to market.
lexus does it on purpose. led turn signals are no problem but they want the car to age faster. once they introduce next gen IS this one will look bad by comparison
@@mrki412 exactly. Buy a Toyota or Lexus and do regular maintenance on it, and after 8 years you might be changing a $20 height bulb while your neighbor's GM or BMW is getting a new $7000 transmission overhaul.
I am 1K in - won’t open it up until 1.5-2K. Pretty familiar with the Lexus 5.O. Really - up to the owner but I have had numerous support from friends that are automotive engineers.
@@nicksorenson912 hi, thanks for the response. Mine is 438 miles, I have a friend that also suggested the breaking at least at 1K. I have done couple of full gas but minimum. I’ll follow your advise. 💪🏻
All the Germans will pull away from me pretty damn fast, but something just feels so goddamn right when I drive my IS. The soul of Lexus hits hard, and that is why 0-60 times don't matter (to us).
The car industry needs to be saved from the fanaticism of electric vehicles and turbo 4 and v6 engines. People need to stop buying that garbage. I LOVE this car, can't wait to get one.
There is nothing as a NA V8 engine sound. Isn't a electronic cut out will be much better? Blotting out the license in plate now days it's a must on all these medias platforms. Enjoy one all of last NA V8 engine by Lexus/Toyota. My $0.02😃😃😃
I almost bought this car, but my only issue (biggest issue) was, it is just not loud enough. For 60K I really did want a loud WWII airplane type of loud Japanese car. Sure, I can buy an aftermarket exhaust, but if I do that, it won't be a 100% O.E.M. anymore and I really do want to buy a naturally aspirated V8 car that I can keep 100% O.E.M. for decades to come.
@@JaceJackson Why is it backwards?? I did want a naturally aspirated Japanese Muscle car. For me loud stock exhaust was Extremely important, especially since I was willing to lash out 60K And yes, even though it is a naturally aspirated V8 Japanese Muscle car, in reality, if you listen to it while it idles or drives below 4,000RPM, it is Very quite. I waited for IS500 for couple years, I hoped it would be what I thought it can be, but it wasn't, it didn't meet my expectations. It turned out that IS500 is a very civilized, undercover sleeper car.
@@AuzzieBoi You cannot just do that, because you will mess up a specially designed natural exhaust flow and it will create an undesirable back pressure flow, meaning in a long run you will mess your engine up. Besides, I wanted to get this car, so I could keep it 100% O.E.M. for decades to come and obviously I waned to enjoy it to, but as I said before, this car doesn't sound anything close to a Muscle Car. I mean it does during a cold start, during the winter time for couple seconds, but after that it is back to being quiet and too civilized.
Keeping the N/A V8 Sedans alive, Definitely one of the last of it's kind awesome car!
Love the VTEC frame! 😎
These engines sound so exotic if you pair them with Novel headerback exhaust system. My brother has an RCF with that system and it sounds amazing.

Please do a flyby lol. I want to hear this beast driving!
I had no idea that IS 500s could look so good until I saw the Infrared/White combo in person. So naturally I bought it . . .
Please PLEASE do more videos and get the exhaust done ASAP 😁
Looking forward to future videos ❤️🔥🥵, Love the car 💕
I’ll probably never own one. But I’m glad it exists
You HAVE to do a video revving that thing. Sing IS500, sing! Show these turbo 6’s what it means to actually ROAR!
Might wanna bypass that bypass
hahaha 🤣

Since C class now is I 4, i m really thinking about this Lexus, currently i have c63s estate, best car i ever owned, so sad that they are out of v8's.
The first to do it!!! Keep the videos coming
Halogen turn signals at this price range and category why?
One advantage to halogen bulbs is that in cold climates, unlike LED's, they produce enough heat to help melt snow/ice away from the lenses.
lexus does it on purpose. led turn signals are no problem but they want the car to age faster. once they introduce next gen IS this one will look bad by comparison
Who gives a fuck?
Car industry is going backwards because of that stupidity, ppl care about LED, but they don't care about handling, motor, etc.

I'm gonna own of these launch edition and NO ONE is gonna stop me
They're sold out lol
They really should've made all the lights LED, and perhaps a little faster than 4.5.
These two are my only complains… okay maybe if the infotainment screen was slimmer as well
I definitely agree with the tail light statement
It's a RWD that does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. It's excitingly fast, unlike all the AWD competitors that lack the thrill of accelerating fast...
@@yousef.al-assaf yeah 4.5 isn’t slow at all it shouldn’t be any faster for the price things already making horsepower in the high 400’s
