  • David Bailey, the winner of the 2016 ICP Infinity Awards: Lifetime Achievement, is an artist, photographer and commercial director. His portraits are widely known, having photographed everyone from The Beatles to the Queen of England. His work is credited for having transformed British celebrity portraiture and gave unique insight into the counterculture of 1960s Britain. He has also created iconic ads for Reebok, Volkswagen and Greenpeace and has photographed for magazines like Vogue and Woman’s Own.
Since 1985, the International Center of Photography has recognized outstanding achievements in photography with its prestigious Infinity Awards. The awards ceremony is also ICP’s primary fundraising benefit, with its revenues assisting the center's various programs.
Harbers Studios commissioned MediaStorm, on behalf of ICP, to create a short film about each of the recipients to screen at the awards ceremony and to display online. The films pay tribute to the contributions of each artist to the craft and field of photography and demonstrate ICP's commitment to them.

I have followed Bailey from his Olympus Trip adverts which made me go out and buy the Trip, it was always ready in the glove box of my car. From then I bought the Olympus OM1N and took photography pretty seriously from then on, my bookshelf has many of his books and he has definitely influenced my style. One of the great 60s photographers.
