    $35/hr is what I average doing Uber in Phoenix. This does require driving from 4am-9am and then 4pm-9pm. Not saying you gotta do 10rs a day. But to get $35+/hr you have to give up those prime hours.

Most Uber drivers would be better off selling their car and working at McDonalds.

    Here in the UK some Uber X drivers earn £1200-1400 per week that’s working 6/7 days/nights a week 12 hours day/night no days off. Uber puts a cap on what you can earn in one day and the hours you can work. Before you could work 18-20hours a day if you wanted to, but there were lots of drivers doing too much hours like 130 hours a week and were so tired they were falling asleep at the wheel with customers in the car and getting in to bad accidents. So Uber introduced max trip time is 12 hours per day. I was an Uber driver and loved working when I wanted to and to have that flexibility if didn’t want to work some days because of my mental health issues. Brandon is probably right what he saying, but I don’t live in America so I can’t say. All I can speak about is the UK 🇬🇧 where I live and the Uber drivers I know too. Thank yuh for great video as always Brandon 🙏🏽

If you like driving all over town or mid haul trips maybe but you would be so worn out it wouldn't be worth it. And don't even get me started on what that will do to your 🚜 - airport trips pay really well but you'd have to do about 100 of those a month to get to $10K and I doubt you'll close that many with the amount of competition on Uber.

    I understand the message. However those Uber drivers making $80k a year working 30 hrs a week are driving all at peak times I bet. Doubling the hours would not necessarily double income due to diminishing returns as many of those extra hours would be during off peak times. But yeah I agree with the message, Uber or no, work more. Too many people think certain work is beneath them. I made $35/hr at my job, I put on OT when I can, but on top of that I'm doing Uber Eats where I'm only averaging $14/hr. It's not beneath me, but it's flexible and allows me to work when I want for some extra income.

    • @hellosr8
      @hellosr8 Год назад +3

      Kinda sorta, you're right. But even during slow times you can get a few long trips and it helps kill time until the rush. During slow times you can get out stretch a bit or relax and sooner or later it'll average out to a fairly high wage.
      A good example of this is on a Wednesday I drove the slow hours and a bit of the rush and hit like $406 for about 8 hrs. Then there was a random Saturday that was busy asf and I hit $552 for about 10-11hrs all in NYC. Thing is, sound great but HCOL areas will eat your wallet. Just gotta be smart. Also, there's a lot of factors for profitably like whether you are renting a car or own the plates, gas mileage, wear and tear, etc so that 80k gross turns into 60k net after taxes and expenses. If you do overtime then absolutely you can hit 100-110k gross and walk away with 80k net but you gotta live eat and shit in that vehicle lol

    It is not telling you is that it's extremely difficult to be a new Uber driver in New York in fact the city ordinances and rules are restricting and reducing the number of Uber drivers they're so deluded and there's so many of them that the average pay that he mentions is completely inaccurate but it's not 80 grand it's more like about 40 ground tops and then the depreciation on your vehicle if you go by the cost of operating your vehicle per mile you have to reduce your rate of pay by another 4 to $6 an hour gas maintenance insurance all those expenses for every mile you drive have to be factored in

    I drove in Tampa Fl, 12 hrs 6-7 days a week, didn't have my own car so I had to rent,. I was barely making $1,500 a week. To much traffic, too much drivers in the area waiting at airport was almost 1hr to wait your turn to get a ride. The rides were short in Tampa making $5, $6, max $10 plus waiting on traffic it made no sense. Plus $2k a month for the rental car and not even including the expenses. Uber gives you 12 hrs a day to drive, so you have to make every hour count. Also, if you didn't know how much Uber takes from drivers now is bizarre from when I started in 2017 to now is almost 50% of greediness they take because we put the work, the car and time and all they provide is the software. Idk if we should take advice from someone who can't do math clearly, there is 168 hrs in a week not 186 😒
