Started my 2A journey with Lesson 1 on Tuesday, passed Lesson 3 on the same week Sunday. Waited 3 weeks for my TP. Passed first try. Really fast journey!
2A was really easy for me.. i just went to the few lesson and booked TP and passed. No extra sessions or self practise. Super4 is the best 2A bike top of the line handling
i surprisingly just passed my first 2A lesson. The last time i rode was my class 2B TP test last year. What you said was absolutely right, the CB400 in SSDC feels very different and engine is really intimidating. I wished i had watched this video earlier, great advice !!
For figure 8 try to change to gear 2 asap before turning in then let the bike roll with minimal rev For pylon try to stop a little further from the white line to get some space to accelerate and change gear. Hope it helps
Just want to add that afaik there is no more SP at all, even for 2B. I took my 2B from the end of 2021 to the start of 2022. I believe the reason was that they didn't want anymore unsupervised training, at least that's what someone told me.
It was quite tricky for me too back then, and i felt like i didnt have enough practice on it. but i guess the most important thing i did was to really try and keep my posture right, throttle control abit, clutch dont let go too much also
Thanks for the tips! Failed on lesson 2 two times already. Will try my luck on the third one few days later. Never thought crank course can be such a challenge to me. Always throttle too much when starting causing wobbling during the crank course, sXXt!
So I actually got my motorcycle license converted from a Taiwanese license. I currently hold a 2B license. Would you recommend I rent a motorcycle here and get used to it before doing the 2A test? I haven’t ridden in a few years and I’m unfamiliar with the course here in Singapore.
I have Class 2B licence and haven't been riding for more than 10 years. I wanted to upgrade to class 2A but the confidence is low. What is your advice?
Can try going for 2A license first! Or else rent a 2B bike to ride for awhile and get used to it. Subsequently go for your 2A license. I believe you will get it 👍🏼 stay safe buddy
Comment down your class 2A experience!

I just failed my Class 2A TP just weeks ago.... Booked straight the next TP for this year, really hard for Figure 8 and Pylon.

All the best!!
thanks for the good information. May I double check if I have to hold the hand brake every time I stop or only during the emergency brake course?
usually i will auto muscle memory and just hold ah i think by right need to hold
Always when stationary

GREAT WORK... ...

All-in-all

The bumpy course is sure tough for me.

I made it through on my 2nd try! 🎉 onwards to lesson 2!
@@lawc9632 thats great news! one more and you are on the way to your TP!
I’ve passed my TP! Thanks Derrick for this informative video!
@@lawc9632 beautiful congrats
how long is the usual duration to take from registration to passing?
for 2A if everything smooth maybe 2.5 months
Hey Derrick, did you purchase a class 2B bike to ride between passing your 2B license and taking your 2A test?
yes bro, i got a CB190X then subsequently changed to a super 4
@@thederrickliew ohh I see! Thanks for clarifying :)
Where can I find a legible route map for 2A practicals ?
😅 the driving school you go to should provide it, can request

Try stopping a little but further from the stop line to give yourself a little bit more space to gain speed, all the best! 👍🏼
@@thederrickliew Will try!

quite expensive to rent in sg, i would just go for the lesson straight and get used to it
Thanks for the advice! You reckon I could get it within 3 months ?
@@johntan3469 highly likely yes
Hate the bumpy must see luck. Fig8 also irritating because the timing.
same bro annoying sia
I was riding RVF 18yrs ago 400% harder to hardle than super4

Very informative!
Thank you for the kind comment’
MT03 or CB400X?
Personally prefer CB400X due to its tourer look, but MT03 might be better fit for those want the naked bike feels
@@thederrickliew Have you tried both of them? Which do you think is more playful or exciting in terms of riding character?
@@Nicaway i think MT03 would be the more playful one, CB400X is quite upright, would think of it as more for touring/cruising
@@thederrickliew Thanks!
TP Simulator is pure stupid and silly. Worst is it needs to be 2 days apart!!!
Yeah i really think its go through motion but no choice 😪
