I'm sorry I laughted at the end if your last video when you said "We've got just two weeks!" My beautiful grandson did they same. The night before he arrived my son had said the same thing! He is so special and wanted, granddaughter is 12 and mum and dad in their forties! Much love to you both and your new bundle of life!

Congratulations Mum and Dad 😁. Welcome to the World of Parenthood. I am so glad you had a Good short Labour Gabby, I had a feeling it would be quick but not that quick lol 😂. Joubert is a Beautiful name and someone obviously had French connections somewhere or maybe met a Joubert ? WW1 possibly if your Grandfather Jack ?. Ahhh the wonderful world of stinky nappies and projectile vomit ,always used to amaze me how much poo and vomit can come out of something so sweet and sweet ?!!. There is a lot of plus’s though with a New Baby and the way it Changes us as people/parents,the newborn baby smell is something that if you could bottle,you’d make a fortune,there just isn’t any other smell in the World like it ?. Jack…. Just do what you can and when you can ( But Jack now that means immediately 😉 ) and not putting it off for a bit. You are doing a fantastic job though in looking after Gabby and Joubert and just concentrate on doing as well as you are now and you’ll be fine,it’s quite natural to feel the way you do,I always remember the first time my Firstborn was born and that was when I felt my most useless,not being able to help with the situation or pain my ex wife was going through 🤷♂️. Strange how things ended up for me and my Sons though, I ended up being Mum and Dad to my 4 Sons !. One thing to remember for the future though Jack and Gabby,if you do decide in the future to have another Child, you best be camping outside of the Hospital and Midwifery delivery suite… That was extremely quick labour from Water breaking to Joubert being Born ! Little Man couldn’t wait to see the world methinks lol 😂, you might have an explorer on your hands?. Tilly looks like she has settled in nicely with having a Newborn onboard ❤. Congratulations once again….. Never has " This Tiny Life " been more Apt for you all. Take lots of Pictures ( Digital and proper ) they grow so fast and it’s nice to have Albums to share and look through later on in life. Xx

Joubert is adorable and very tiny. My boy was 6lb,6oz when he was born and newborn size clothing didn’t fit him either. Look for clothing marked with the size “tiny baby”, I got some lovely items in that size including a soft fluffy brown snowsuit which a couple of people mistook for me carrying around a rabbit on my shoulder! 😆
I can identify with the feelings of inadequacy as a new dad. However what, in my experience, the new mum needs is to feel cherished and supported. You will have to develop infinite patience and a very thick skin. You will likely discover why sleep deprivation is classed as torture and banned by the Geneva Convention. Unfortunately little Joubert doesn’t know this and it’s 10 times worse for Gabbie as she adjust from growing and feeding a new human on the inside to doing the same on the outside. The hormone swings make Blackpool’s Big Dipper appears but minor little bumps!!

Yep, I agree, tea and toast isn’t enough. I gave birth to our second child in an English hospital , and they gave me tea and toast for dinner, after giving birth. Dinner….. really?
I really enjoyed BFing . My last 2 I bfed, so much easier than bottle feeding. But if you don’t have a comparison, you may think it is hard. Maybe take baby after a feed let mum sleep some more until next feed. As I say , sleep when baby sleeps. When you have more than one you can’t do that.

My sister’s first was two weeks late and her second arrived on her due date in time for office day start 😂. She definitely loved breastfeeding but also expressed as much as poss as well, which can let Dad also be involved in the feeds.
