There is seriously no better feeling than unboxing new car parts, no matter what cars you have. It's really cool to see RCR getting the hookup with great companies! It makes me think better of them for it :D Also... I'd buy exhausts from Pype sex house too
Pype Sex Haust, my new German metal band name. Come see us play the Ramshackle tonight at 9PM, $15 cover, two drink minimum, 18 and up only. CD's available after the show in the parking lot.
+RegularCars any parts store should have ford blue in spray cans. usually VHT or Dupli-color both are ceramic enamels so they should last a long time given that you don't spray it over rusty greasy metal
I feel I should tell you that headers fit specific cars as well as engines. I can't say for sure, but you may run into fitment issues when you try to drop the engine into the Falcon with those headers installed as a fox body Mustang doesn't have the massive shock towers taking up precious engine bay space like the Falcon does. I hope they work, though. Other than that, I would also recommend finding yourself a better set of cylinder heads. Being that your 302 is out of a Thunderbird, it is a non-HO 302 with the quench combustion chambers designed more for fuel efficiency than power. This is the same motor Ford used in the Crown Victoria from 1986-1991 (same as the ones you looked at in the junk yard video with a different upper intake). These engines were rated at 150hp from the factory. There's a comment I made on the junkyard video with some good info on factory cylinder head castings which would offer a significant power improvement over what you currently have. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. Keep up the good work!
I have a Pypes catback on my Caprice. It came with an X-pipe and while it was very affordable and sounds pretty good, I lost some low end torque with it vs my old Dynomax dual system with no H or X pipe. Also without resonators it can drone a bit but not too bad on my particular car.
Whenever people ask you where the name 'vagabond' came from, I think you should tell them it was an option on the Falcon in 1960, and your car has it. Great news about the headers!
Good luck getting those in, one thing your gonna find out is how very little room there is when it comes to headers on a V8 Falcon. The only ones that even come close to fitting I know of are the Hedman Headers 88400's. Even they interfere with the pitman arm. The original V8 Falcon had specialized headers that sent the collector forward and down instead of rearward and back to avoid the pitman arm.
Song in the BG during unboxing..."This is my "pypes" song, why am I turned on?"... or maybe i'm the only one who found that humorous....i'll go now....
Hey I'm right in Lansdale next to pypes if you ever want to meet up I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 and a 2009 Honda Accord ex if you ever are down
I kept wondering where in PA you were, here you're in Hamburg, went to Hatfield, small world, you ever want to do a Mitsubishi 3000gt (base model sorry) video send me a message.
Are you running dual exhaust? See if Pypes will give you an X pipe too, sounds great on my 95 Impala SS. Also available for review if you're in Willow Grove.
Loving this series!! Fun side note, the 4 bolt Vortec 350 sitting in that black engine container was built by the company I work for. Looks like it found a good home :)
I am planning to use Pypes on my 455 Firebird if they are still in business when I do that (not that they are in financial trouble. More that I take a really long time with these projects).
+Gabriel Aiello From what I understand long tube headers are great for mid-high RPM power, while short tube headers are great for low-mid RPM power. Shorties are good for dailying/cruising/towing, while long tubes are great for racing or high-revving engines. That help?
+FrankTheCat Short tubes ONLY benefit is better clearance and easier installation. Long Tubes beat them in EVERY other aspect power wise, idle to top end. Don't take my word for it, look up dyno results.
Pype sex haus T
Glad I'm not the only one that read it that way. THE INTERNET HAS WARPED MY FRAGILE LITTLE MIND.
thank God, I wasn't the only one.

Coming this Monday: Regular Sandal Reviews.
An engine starts up every time you focus on the engine. That's some brilliant convenience.
You didn't read the warning. Safety 3rd!
Jesus sandals, really?!? I just lost 50% of the respect I had for you. lol
Stop, read this warning. *yoink* :D
Nice to see the car coming together. I'd suggest that moving your head slower will allow us to see more other than "whip pans" ;)
+richardpurves Can do
Thanks man! Keep doing what you're doing! Greetings from the UK!
+RegularCars or they have chest mounts for the GoPros.
Dem sandals
Do you or Bruce Hen have any plans on repainting the block or manifold or anything?
+Deter Pinklage although this plan in not concrete, I want to honor the same blue scheme of the original Ford 144 I6
Sweeet. Shouldn't be that difficult, a little prep, a little de-greasing, really it just comes down to a free afternoon and matching paint.
+RegularCars Blue block/heads with stainless or chrome valve covers and headers would look mint.
+RegularCars any parts store should have ford blue in spray cans. usually VHT or Dupli-color both are ceramic enamels so they should last a long time given that you don't spray it over rusty greasy metal
Lovin this series! Keep this project stuff up!
Good luck with the fitment.
you will be better off with 1965 mustang 289/302 headers.

I'm assuming Pypes will ship their stuff to other states. If so, I'm definitely buying from them. If not, I'll consider driving since I'm in Maryland.
+Archibald VonFookFace You can order online. Yes they ship
+RegularCars you need a pocket knife my dude.....ask roman who he got outta lux vs clips, he'll know what I'm talking about
+RegularCars Thanks, Mr. Regular! I'm really happy your channel is growing!

Hey I'm right in Lansdale next to pypes if you ever want to meet up I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 and a 2009 Honda Accord ex if you ever are down
Good work, Mr Regular! Its good that you get to participate in the assembly.
Got PYPE'S?
Yew!
Still warm enough in PA for sandals... Lucky you.
I kept wondering where in PA you were, here you're in Hamburg, went to Hatfield, small world, you ever want to do a Mitsubishi 3000gt (base model sorry) video send me a message.

Now my wife wants to know why I have pype sex in my browsing history.
"Tell me the truth, are you into men"
"What?! No, I'm into cars."
Loving this series!! Fun side note, the 4 bolt Vortec 350 sitting in that black engine container was built by the company I work for. Looks like it found a good home :)
Fox Mustang headers will not fit a Falcon. Hedman 88400 is what you need.
Pype Sex Haust
Really enjoying this build....Great Videos
Mr. Regular you are a kool guy and all. I enjoy your videos. But for the love of GOD please ware thongs!!! Don't wear those geek sandals!!!
cool it looks like its coming along you should drive down to Florida for Turkey Rod Run
It's coming together, that's going to be a nice little V8.
"Pipes, pipes, wait till them kids in the Chevys see these pipes!"
My bad...
I am planning to use Pypes on my 455 Firebird if they are still in business when I do that (not that they are in financial trouble. More that I take a really long time with these projects).
SO SHINY! SO CHROME! YOU WILL RIDE ETERNAL ON THE HIGHWAYS OF VAHALLA!
Hatfield? I use to live in Hatfield! Who's in Hatfield?
Pype Sex Haust
Isn't that a brothel in Germany?
STOP! read this warning!!!! throws away instantly lol
I'll foat the idea for a blue powder coated intake manifold and red headers, to mimick the RCR logo!
How much will that intake manifold hurt performance?
TIL that I'm not the only person that buckles stuff in to the front seat of my car. CRT monitors are not fun traveling partners.
wishing u went with the Ford barra motor. 4.0 inline six with a turbo
I applaud the mandles. I get made fun of daily for my mandles. Keep wearing mandles
RCR Why did you go with shorty headers and not long tube headers?
Not that there is any thing wrong with shorts just preference.
Can we please have Harold Slovinski do an unboxing?
Mr. Regular, the only man on earth who is widely loved and can wear sandals without being ridiculed
Hope you did the research on pipe clearance around the steering rack, etc. Can't wait to see this project completed!
have fun installing things around those headers. mine are more spaced out long tubes and they are straight from hell in terms of working around them.
I read that link as pype sex haus t
just thought you would know @regularcars
I'm also assuming that you will be running a full pypes setup out the back?
i know the headers fit the engine but do they fit in the car this is the question?
Don't see much of a difference between the stock, and after market headers. But the new headers are all shinny and new.
Will you be painting the engine before it goes into the falcon?
Any pipe could be a sex pipe if you are brave enough.
How dare you not stop and read the warning when the sign clearly tells you to do that?????
I hope he's not related to Bruce Jenner.
This unboxing is best unboxing because headers.
that's a sexy motor Mr. Regular, can't wait to see it painted
polished goodness lovely ...nice work
Those are some sweet headers...
I looked up the car's weight... at around 2300 lbs, you're gonna have yourself a wickedly powerful car.
they weigh 2550 with the v6 so its gonna be around 2650-2800(with a driver) which is still pretty light
come to maryland ill let you revew my 75 280z
It disturbs me to see the sandals and shorts POV.
i never understand the difference between long and short headers too well, it's just sound or have some performance difference?
long vs short. Sound and performance.
+Gabriel Aiello From what I understand long tube headers are great for mid-high RPM power, while short tube headers are great for low-mid RPM power. Shorties are good for dailying/cruising/towing, while long tubes are great for racing or high-revving engines. That help?
FrankTheCat alot! thanks!
+FrankTheCat Short tubes ONLY benefit is better clearance and easier installation. Long Tubes beat them in EVERY other aspect power wise, idle to top end. Don't take my word for it, look up dyno results.
(That looked like zinc plated hardware)
Nice sandals maaan. BTW the headers look awesome
302 really is just a bulletproof motor
It's cool to see the falcon starting to come together. Keep posting man!
SO MUCH REGULAR LEG IN THIS VIDEO> GYGHFHDGFGRRHHHRRRRGGHHHH
Pypes, you're riding up front. lol
Those headers look awfully wide. Are you sure those will clear the towers?
Dope headers bruh.
you should wear real shoes when around the work shop, just sayin
Wearing sandals when working in a garage. Yeah, that's a good idea.
Regular Car Reviews. Shoes are overrated.
I don't even wear shoes most of the time
+Leroy Butts Feet are overrated too.
"Stop, read this warning" *nope* lol
I would have not been so gentle with that box, just rip and tear it open grrrrrrrrrrr!
