It was two years ago that the joy came out. WoW that little machine does a lot.
Thanks. This was very helpful. I’m considering buying the Joy, but mostly for paper projects.
I was going back on your channel to see which videos I may have missed and I found this one I love the card it is so elegant-and I can't wait to see others things you have done-I like many I am sure have to save to be able to purchase this wonderful little machine that Cricut has added to the collection-again thank you -hugs
Loved your video!
Hi Miss Rita. Just letting you know I received my JOY and did the Train and Smoke cuts this morning so YAY
Umm I also did 2 of the flowers that came for first cuts and I did the crown. I did crown using my Lap Top,
White Flower using my iPAD and the red flower using my Smart Phone. Using the vinyl. And I put the
Flowers on a BIG Glass Coffee mug this was the first time for me doing this and it turned out pretty good
So thanks for your outstanding tutorials. The train and smoke are for my hubby to put on the wall
Above his train table. I can’t wait to show him. I shaded the edges of the smoke using TH oxide inks
Black Soot And Fadded Jeans. YOU SO ROCK
Thank you for all your tips. So excited to get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The more I use it, the more I love it. I think you will be very happy to have one!
Hi just got my Joy so really liked this video What weight of card stock are you using please? Thanks
Thanks for the video, this is so great to see what a great addition this can be to my crafting room.
I found it! I like your customization!
Hi Rita I just got a Cricut Joy. I made 1 card and chose size 4.25 x 5.5 cause that's the size insert cards I had. Well the design must have been for 4.25 x 6.5 it cut off bottom of card😢. Why don't they tell you that design is for different size? And I have another problem. I followed instructions for card but get to page and just starts buffering? Won' t let me continue. It says pair machine which I did shows up on Bluetooth finally got it to cut but seems to do same thing every time I go to use it hope you can help me 😊
I should get mine on Monday. Ordered the special bundle from HSN on launch day.
Hiya, that is such a help! Thank you! Just wondered what weight is the card and what setting did you use?
It’s medium weight so between 60 and 80 lbs so I cut on Medium Cardstock setting
I love the doily, so pretty!
Won’t it flatten the flower when you put it in an envelope to mail?
Also, where did you find the leaf pattern?
So what do we do about an envelope?
I buy most of my envelopes premade. They sell them at the craft store in bulk.
Thank you for your videos.
Thank you so much! Love that you did a cardstock card! Can we use SVG designs that we purchase online? Thanks again!
Yes! I’ve been playing with some of my favorite designer’s SVGs this week and many can be used in the Joy! I just did one from SVG Cuts and another from Lori Whitlock. Check out my list of videos for those. So much fun!
Hey girl where do you get card stock at?
very pretty card!! thanks for sharing still debating on this machine because I dumped my whole cart on hsn because of the shipping so not sure what im going to do!!!
Cricut now has a bundle on their site that’s free shipping! You need to be an Access customer to get the price but that’s cheap to add. Maybe $8 and is a very good value.
@@MissRitaToTheRescue thank u rita ill go look!!
For a beginner I'm finding this confusing. I see how you load the machine and cut but where did you get all your designs from and where did you store them in order for the machine to know what you where cutting next... like i said 'for a beginner'maybe there's another video I need to watch before getting to this point?
Yes I think there are more beginner videos that I’ve done that will help
I have a whole playlist on my channel of just Joy videos
Hi Nancy! I just wanted to circle back to see how you were doing.
I love your cards! Can i use this to make sticker? And is the cricut joy only works with paper? Thank you
Hi! The Cricut Joy cuts paper, vinyl and iron on materials, so you could use it to make stickers for sure
Thank you for this! Is it possible to make cards with images not already on DS? Or do you have to use those templates? Thank you!
margarita momma As long as the image is in a format that can be imported, you can use it. SVG, Gif and Jpg are some of the formats that can be used.
What's the name and brand of the glue please😁
I use Art Glitter Glue. It’s made for paper work and can be found at Create for Less or on Etsy.
I can’t find the doily flower design in dis 😞
veronica ramirez let me find it for you
Miss Rita To The Rescue! Oh thank you it’s so beautiful I can’t wait to make it
How big of a card can you make??
Folded, 4.25” x 6.25”, is the maximum card size for the card mat.
Where do you get the lace Dollie design
It’s in Design Space. You can search using the term “doily”.
@@MissRitaToTheRescue what size did you made the doily?
I would think the weight of the cardstock would matter also.
I generally use a medium weight cardstock, which is about 50 or 60 lb. weight
Very nice demo
Hiiiii. #cricutchat
I just got this notification!
I love this and you inspired me to design some cut out cards. Maybe its me but I couldnt get the file link to work. Kept getting error messages or it never loads into the design space. Please advise!
Its a noisy little machine! But i like it lol
Haha! It’s a different kind of noise than the Explore for sure! 😂
Actually it’s not noise I got mines it’s smooth. And I used regular vinyl today with mines.
How about, "relief?" The curling gives the petals some relief.
Good word choice. Thank you!
How often do have to change the cutting blade ?
Judi B I haven’t changed mine yet but I think it’s getting to the point where it needs changing. I’ve been using it daily for a month.
Too many distractions! You seem crowded!
This is such a great time saver and I can use up all my paper from my scrapbooking days. Thanks so much!
A2 sheet size, that's not right.
The finished card is 5.5” x 4.25”, which when opened is 5.5” x 8.5” or exactly an 8.5” x 11” sheet cut in half. I was told this was called an A2 card and it is what I’ve always referred to it as. I’m not sure why you think it is incorrect. Could you elaborate, please?
@@MissRitaToTheRescue a normal sheet of paper is A4 if you double the size of A4 you get A3 if you double that you get A2.
