I am over the moon that someone else also uses the negatives from the cutouts. I have always done this. I got myself a cricut joy on retirement and have been looking for inspiration and you have just hit the spot. Thank you so much
Absolutely love your videos! Just recieved a cricut for my birthday and I am so excited to start making my own cards. I cast flowers in resin and will be creating personalized pieces with this little cricut!! Thank you☺️
Your cards are so cute! I love the colors that you used! I made the cupcake card with a card kit with a black card and holographic insert for my grandson's 15th birthday and he loved it! He thought it was really cool. It was my first card so I'm kind of proud of that. That's a great idea to keep the cutouts that get weeded out. I'll keep that in mind.
Love these cards. Such a great idea to use the cut outs to make other cards with. I am going to have to remember that. The card stock you used is so so pretty.
Ohhh love how they turned out! I got 2 packs of those cards because of the holographic designs, but now I'm looking forward to using my own scrap paper! Thanks for sharing!
I use the joy cards as a card topper for larger cards and if you use the pattern paper then you can accessorize with a matching butterfly for example on the cricut, and then I use the same pattern to layer up the sentiment as well.
Thank you for your great tutorials! Where do you get the double-sided cardstock? Also, I have problems when making portrait cards on the Joy card mat, the insert cut lines cut right at the very edge and sometimes tear! Your cards are so pretty❤️
Hi i am loving your videos i am learning so much thank you xx I have a question if i want to design my own card the same size as the joy cards and i want to put the cut out corners how do i know what size i need my corners at so the insert will fit? i hope this makes sense xx
I’m so thinking I need that Cricut joy I would only be using for cards/paper crafts. Thank you for showing how to use your own papers and not purchasing kits
Super sweet - enjoyed this tutorial immensely...also love being able to use the Cricut pen to draw the sentiment and to also address the envelope too..!! Would love to see what you do with the infusible ink pens as well. Thanks for sharing...blessings to you....!!
This looked so fun I just had to try this along with you! Loved this! I have made lots of cards since getting my Joy and so excited to make my own. Thanks so much! I just love your videos!
Have you had to replace your Cricut joy blade yet? If so, how often do you find yourself replacing the blade? I’ve made less than 20 cards on my new joy and it’s already not cutting thru the card stock as well. I even went ahead and got a new card mat thinking perhaps my old mat had lost some of its stickiness. LOVE your videos btw ❤️
I’ve had my original blade in my machine since last March and haven’t changed it yet. I bought replacement blades awhile back, thinking I’d need them but haven’t noticed a need to change yet.
Hi, I’ve just watched this, thank you your tutorials are fantastic! I was just wondering though, as I do cards the template is leaving marks on the card mat, the more I do they just overlap each other. Is that supposed to be happening? Many thanks
Go to Images then search ‘card inserts’. All the different card inserts will show up and you can choose from there and insert onto canvas! :) Hope that helps
Hi Bethany I love the work you do I watch you all the time still learning a lot I have a question for you how can I make my own wording cut out on cardstock to make my own sayings for my cards is that possible I sure hope so I've been racking my brain trying to figure it out LOL🙂
These turned out so cute! I love the colors and patterns you use. Thank you for sharing the dimensions. I've been making my inserts too small.😊 I also make my own envelopes with my envelope punch. It's fun to coordinate!
Thanks for the tip of using the cut out letters. Could you do a tutorial for how to use the extra material from the Cricut Maker sticker paper? I don’t want to waste the scraps, but when I try to do a cut on the Joy, it doesn’t cut deep enough. Makes sense? 🤷🏽♀️
Hi Bethany I have a question. Do I need a Cricut Joy to make the cards or can I do everything on the Maker? I don’t own anyone of them yet, but I want to invest in what is best. If both is what I need, then I will purchase both. I know that I need the maker, but wanted to know if the Maker great for the size card that you are demonstrating. Thanks in advance for your response.
You can do everything on the Maker. The Joy is convenient , small, and uses different materials and accessories. You can cut up to 20 feet long on the Joy using the smart vinyl, (only available for the Joy.). The Maker cuts many more materials plus its expandable when Cricut comes out with new tools. The Joy is very limited as to what it can cut.
Hi Donya! You can also do the cards on the Maker and here is a tutorial for how to do that! ruclips.net/video/NiMvvkuML20/видео.html I don’t think you need both machines, but I will tell you that I love my machines for different reasons. I do honestly think the cards are easier on the Joy, they are fast and convenient. But they are also doable on the Maker! I also love the continuous cutting of the Joy. When picking a machine, you just have to go with the machine that fits your crafting needs the best. Hope this helps!
Thanks so much for responding back. Love what you do. Can across your page yesterday, as I was looking at the Maker/Joy. Love the tumbler you made for your study group. Think, I’m going to copy that one for study group. Wh this pandemic lets up. Yes, I think I’ll be purchasing both. You’ve been a great help. Keep up with the video. Love them.
So glad you are enjoying my videos! Just know, it’s not necessary to have both. You could always buy one to get you started and then invest in another machine as needed!
I’ve only made 12 cards with my joy card mat and it’s lost it’s stickiness, started eating my cards. I tried to clean it and there’s no stick left in the middle of the board at all. I’m so disappointed. Do you know how to stop this from happening?
You could! If you’re using the smaller insert you would just be mindful of how you line it up on the mat so that it writes in the center, since it’s sized smaller than the card. Here is a tutorial on how I write inside my cards ruclips.net/video/l9CJmis7pEY/видео.html
I haven’t personally tried it, but if the dimension and material is similar I wouldn’t know why not! Again, I haven’t tried so I can’t said either way.
I love how you say “may-szure-mint”
Same. It's adorable.
I am over the moon that someone else also uses the negatives from the cutouts. I have always done this. I got myself a cricut joy on retirement and have been looking for inspiration and you have just hit the spot. Thank you so much
thank you for this video You have made card making fun I am new to paper crafting so I was feeling lost
Nice to see you’ve used the scraps ❤
Adorable as usual.
Absolutely love your videos! Just recieved a cricut for my birthday and I am so excited to start making my own cards. I cast flowers in resin and will be creating personalized pieces with this little cricut!! Thank you☺️
Woow I think I am addicted to your videos! Makes me want to make everything 😆
Love the last one you made! I bought the Cricut inserts for joy and I like them but I agree with you the ones you made look professional and classy!
I just got my cricut joy and the card with the baby feet was the first card I made. Thank you for this video
I love the way you decorated your cricut joy I would like to decorate mine but I don’t know what to do or how to do it. I am new with my cricut joy.
I would love to know also
Loved this. ❤
Such inspiration!! Thank you!! 💕
Your cards are so cute! I love the colors that you used! I made the cupcake card with a card kit with a black card and holographic insert for my grandson's 15th birthday and he loved it! I got the Princess card sampler in my Joy bundle when I first purchased it. It’s very pretty. Thank you for the tutorial.😊💕
It’s such a pretty pack!
I have a ton of scrapbook card stock, so thank you for this video. I have to just look for my paper trimmer, I’ve misplaced it lol
I never thought of using the scraps to make another card, can't wait to try it.
Thank you, Hyla! So happy this inspired you!
Beautiful cards! I live your aesthetic ❤️
Love these cards. Such a great idea to use the cut outs to make other cards with. I am going to have to remember that. The card stock you used is so so pretty.
Thank you! Yes, the paper choice really makes it’s beautiful!
These are really pretty. I’m going to think about using scrap paper as a background on my hand-drawn cards. 😊
Thanks for the idea of saving scraps. Love that for other crafts or cards.
You're very welcome! Saving is so important because you can always reuse!
Ohhh love how they turned out! I got 2 packs of those cards because of the holographic designs, but now I'm looking forward to using my own scrap paper! Thanks for sharing!
Yay! I am in love with scrapbook paper! And so happy you got those card packs as well! The holographic inserts are really stunning!
Very creative and you make the instructions so simple! I have been making Thinking of You cards for people at church on my Cricut Joy.
That’s a wonderful idea and a great way to bless others! I miss church so much!
So useful, thank you!
I use the joy cards as a card topper for larger cards and if you use the pattern paper then you can accessorize with a matching butterfly for example on the cricut, and then I use the same pattern to layer up the sentiment as well.
That sounds lovely, Mandy! What a great idea!
I love these! They are so beautiful. You could even make some little envelopes in the same paper. What a delight to receive via snail mail!
Envelopes would be so adorable!
Thank you for your inspiration and guidance 😁
Well done
Love the idea of making another card with cut out pieces!
Yes! It’s so much fun!
Thanks so much, your cards are wonderful!
I love your tutorials!!! They help me so much❤️
These are so cute!! Thank you!
Thank you for your great tutorials! Where do you get the double-sided cardstock? Also, I have problems when making portrait cards on the Joy card mat, the insert cut lines cut right at the very edge and sometimes tear! Your cards are so pretty❤️
Mine too...or the card stock comes off the mat and ruins it. I have only used the mat a few times so nit sure why that is happening!
Hi i am loving your videos i am learning so much thank you xx
I have a question if i want to design my own card the same size as the joy cards and i want to put the cut out corners how do i know what size i need my corners at so the insert will fit? i hope this makes sense xx

Would love to see what you do with the infusible ink pens as well. Thanks for sharing...blessings to you....!!
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed this!
Bethadilly - Would also like to see you design n cut envelopes full size and JOY size too..!!
This looked so fun I just had to try this along with you! Loved this! I have made lots of cards since getting my Joy and so excited to make my own. Thanks so much! I just love your videos!
Yay! I’m so happy to hear that!! It is so fun to get creative with making your own!
Great card ideas! I do the same thing and save the pieces!
The pieces might just be the best part!
Have you had to replace your Cricut joy blade yet? If so, how often do you find yourself replacing the blade? Love your pretty papers, great idea to use your own 💕 x
Thank you, Jacqui! It really makes for a pretty card when you can use any paper and pattern!
Hi, I’ve just watched this, thank you your tutorials are fantastic! I was just wondering though, as I do cards the template is leaving marks on the card mat, the more I do they just overlap each other. Is that supposed to be happening? Many thanks
Can you please show the tutorial for that birthday card? One with foam adhesive
Only had the cricut cutter for a month, just realised the arm folds out😂Thanks
Can you use the Joy to write on you blank white pasted right side indert? Or does it stay blank.
how did you customize you Joy? It is so cute!
Love it all, what state are you from?
What weight of paper do you use? Great videos and so helpful. X
They are beautiful. I am getting a joy for Christmas. If you are making your own cards do you used 65 weight?
It honestly just depends on what I have on hand. Congratulations on your Joy!
Hi again! Where do I find the "insert slits" that are lined up in the corners? I want to attempt a designed card.
Go to Images then search ‘card inserts’.
All the different card inserts will show up and you can choose from there and insert onto canvas! :) Hope that helps
Excellent tutorial!!! I brought my machine on sale and refused to buy the card packages.I have tons of cardstock and scrapbook paper to use!!!
Can you use the joy to write inside the card?
Hi Bethany I love the work you do I watch you all the time still learning a lot I have a question for you how can I make my own wording cut out on cardstock to make my own sayings for my cards is that possible I sure hope so I've been racking my brain trying to figure it out LOL🙂
It is possible! I actually have a video coming out on that very soon! I just designed my design for it!! Stay tuned!
Love your videos (cricut joy) i just ordered one.....
I just have a question can you make flower cutouts with the cricut joy
You can! They will just be on a smaller scale!
Thank you
Can you make a video how to make them please
These are really wonderful! Thank you for sharing! Do you know if it's possible to actually design your own card in design space?
You sure could! You would just create a card template and then add the cut files within the card template!
These turned out so cute! I love the colors and patterns you use. Thank you for sharing the dimensions. I've been making my inserts too small.😊 I also make my own envelopes with my envelope punch. It's fun to coordinate!
You're very welcome! Glad you have the dimensions now! Your envelopes sound darling!
Where did you get the paper you used? The pink denim/floral, floral/rain boots the mint/butterflies?
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! ❤🧡💛💙💚
Thank you, Patty! I just added links for the paper used within the description box below the video for you!
What about a envelope to use with the custom card?
Thanks for the tip of using the cut out letters. Could you do a tutorial for how to use the extra material from the Cricut Maker sticker paper? I don’t want to waste the scraps, but when I try to do a cut on the Joy, it doesn’t cut deep enough. Makes sense? 🤷🏽♀️
Hmmmm, I would try adding some more pressure when cutting on the Joy so you can achieve.a deeper cut. Hopefully that helps and works!
Hi Bethany

You could! If you’re using the smaller insert you would just be mindful of how you line it up on the mat so that it writes in the center, since it’s sized smaller than the card. Here is a tutorial on how I write inside my cards ruclips.net/video/l9CJmis7pEY/видео.html
Can I just purchase the store bought A 2 cards found in craft stores?
I haven’t personally tried it, but if the dimension and material is similar I wouldn’t know why not! Again, I haven’t tried so I can’t said either way.
Ok new card mat and it ate my cheap card stock. Yikes!
Try changing the pressure from Default to Less to see if that might work.
