I have a Brat and plan on ordering some of this stuff you have to offer. Currently I am upgrading my TT02B with lots of goodies...when I'm done with that build it will be time to start messing around with my Brat. I love what you do with these ORV chassis, thank you for your build videos. You do GREAT work!
Ha ha, yeah, a hopless hopper :-) I can do without the hopping but what about the characteristic sound of the hopping? That is a priceless sound. Now we need a sound system that simulates the sound of hoppin' Hopper/Hornet tires loosing traction.
I have 3 super blackfoots and one king black for what kind of parts do you have to upgrade the Chassees and suspension and front end parts for these For trucks please comment back thank you so very much I love watching your video
This is so cool! I get my rerelease Monster Beetle today and I'm going to do crazy wicked mods to it like the double wishbone rear suspension and probably these skid plates as well as many others. I'm giddy! I want to see that Nissan Hardbody shell too.
keep going crazy crazier the better I wish you would just get crazy with the King Blackfoot get crazy as hell cuz I would like to do a lot to that truck
Just bought a new 2016 Blackfoot and a MIP diff. Now I've spent the last couple hours watching Blackfoot vids on RUclips. I'm going to be broke soon. lol
@@AMPROEngineering Good new brushed motors seem to be a bit difficult to find. If I were to go brushless, I was thinking 2300KV ish? Would that be about right?
@@65BAJA That is a great point. It is hard to find new one. I wish could tell you but I am so bad with power ratings on brushless. I would say that's about right though.
Frog body mount!? Cant wait to get that Hornet suspension mod!!! That thing looks amazing!! I think it would be interesting to see you working with your engineering software to give us a glimpse of how you do it. Or just give a sort of tour, within the software, of something you have already designed.
definitely keep it up with the ORV crazyness, being the owner of an 87' MB, 2015 MB, AND RE-RE Lunchy it makes me happy to see someone with the same screws loose( pun intended). you should do something like an ORV wheelie bar..i hate having to re-glue my license plate back to my body every time i take the truck out, the only stuff out there is from china and I would much rather put the money in your pocket than Hung Lo Charlie's.
AMPRO Engineering shimmed out my diff on the 2015 after the common "diff click", now im running a mabuchi rs550 with mamba monster(was laying around) on 3s with no issues yet, i need that MIP ball diff in my life though haha
More crazy please. Idea for you: I recall you picked up a CC01, we had a chat about it previously. What if there were a set of low range gears to fit in the factory transmission? I personally am not tuned in to the gear finishes available with 3D prints, I would imagine the right material would clearance itself into tolerance and limit necessary hand finishing. Reason I suggest this is, the accessory planetary gearboxes add an inch to the motor length... right into the battery tray, seems less than ideal. Anywho, keep up the great work.
More Crazy! LOVE IT! I like the gear idea. I know there is a material that has the detail needed but I don't think it will last the load. Maybe a way to re-position the motor? Damn it...now I have an idea...
OH please go with that! I don't want to have to move my battery, just to put in a noisy, bulky gear reduction unit. An ADJUSTABLE motor mount would be a key item. 😉 Then find out what's the biggest spur gear you could fit in the gearbox without major issues.

Man, this gets more and more crazy! (In a good way!) That ORV will look awesome with a BD chassis. And that Hornet/Hopper ... Wow ... speechless ... Remember to keep the chassis or else it's not a Hornet/Hopper anymore ;-) Many Thumbs up, Alberto, and Congrats on 1k subs. You deserve it, I have watched all episodes. If you find the time then do a video or a video series about a product,/design, with all processes involved, from idea to the finished installment.
No I totally agree with you , it needs the chassis and the transmission. I was thinking that kind of video also. I may need to do that, maybe with the RF axle stay?
I don't think it needs the transmission to be a Hornet/Hopper. Just the original chassis. A Super Hornet is still a Super Hornet if you replace the transmission with a DT-01 transmission/rear axle. And a DT-01 is still a DT-01 whatever else you replace the suspension and transmission with. But it sounds like you've kept the original transmission on the Hornet/Hopper rear double wishbone design? Sweet..... Ha ha, I really wanted to suggest a video with a final RF axle stay design, but I decided I had bugged you enough with that, so you needed a little break from me doing that ;-)
Yeah the IRS Hornet still has it's trans! Was not easy but I did it. The RF project is almost done so that means I will be running it and it will be annoying me very soon. When I am annoyed I get fixing.
*I LOVE THE KING CAB!!!* To date, my favorite truck of all time. I was an IDIOT for selling it back in 92! I can't find ANY - at least any I could buy..... That is an awesome idea for the ORVs! I used to live near the Beach, and I can tell you, sand will find its way into EVERYTHING! 😕 Pebbles and rocks weren't fun either. Now I HAVE to figure out a way to get a re re ORV. You've totally transformed it! So...... any thoughts about the project I brought up for the ORV? BLOWN AWAY again! 😲😲 That Hornet/Hopper IRS is just SICK!! I'm guessing that it's the first of your products that WILL require stock part modifications, and lots of them! It looks like what it SHOULD'VE been in the first place. ▪▪▪▪▪▪ Now for my project, which may redefine ingenuity or insanity, depending on who you ask. You know already, that I've purchased your Lunchbox independent front suspension, body mounts, rear shock mounts and the "slap stopper"(I can't remember the name!). AND you may remember, that I had everything I needed - EXCEPT FOR THE LUNCHBOX!!!!😠😠😠😠😠 I blew my whole, tiny budget before I could buy the actual kit!😢 SO.... instead of calling defeat, and crawling into a corner, I started an insane idea..... Over the past 2 months, I've been buying it PIECE BY PIECE!!😲😲 (yes, really!) Hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! *I'm dying to try your parts!* At least there aren't a LOT of parts in a Lunchbox.... So far, I've got the front frame pieces, bumper, battery holder, shocks, wheels, uprights and the main chassis! (plus hardware and bearings) Once I can get a battery, body, tires and entire rear gearbox - "Project Piecemeal" will be a reality with a crazy story! This one is BEGGING for a name, and special, unique paint job. BTW, I ordered all your parts printed in purple, and got purple shocks. Shame they never made purple wheels! So..... how's THAT for crazy?
Well yeah, IRS hornet will need mods but weirdly, very few! Love the LB story! That is awesome! They did make blue chrome wheels but yeah, no purple! I just want you to remember that those front arms are not bashers! The big wheels put a lot of load on them and crashing into a curb will not end well. I want to make sure people know what to expect!
I'm also Carmine! I started a second channel, just for R/C! Just found out that it's possible to have two channels on one account, so this one will be devoted to exclusively R/C! I can't wait to see how that Hornet IRS goes together! And not to worry, I'm going to be 53 in a couple of weeks.... I don't plan any really hardcore bashing. I'm gonna be too worried about damaging the body - when I finally get one!!! 😁 Stock motor, and will be using a good ol NiMh battery. I may have to piecemeal me an ORV too, just to AmPro pimp that out too!! 😁👍👍
LOL I just had a crazy thought. Makes for a good question, if say, someone had a Bush Devil, Super Blackfoot, King Blackfoot. They use a different forward servo mount that doubles as a mounting point for [for lack of a better word] servo saver/bell crank for steering. Would it still be possible to install the 2 inside mounting screws? I have a tendency to more or less kitbash in a way, with spare parts for a lot of my Tamiya builds, been that way since the 80's..., lol. If you do not have a Bush Devil manual, the model is 58101, Tamiya has the pdf still. I just noticed, DeLaCruzer11 asked as well, oops.
Hey Karl, Man I am bad at checking on things when I get home. I am so busy when I am there. I will take home a sample I have at the office and check it out. I think it will fit.
Checked. Nope. The front bumper is way to different but I can adapt it to fit. As soon as I get to my King Blackfoot Project, I will make one of these for it.
Sweet. On a side note, to go along with my BoLink rebuild, and Rising Hornet Hopper D'Luxe [lol] build, I picked up a Lunch Box chassis, & plan on build that uses hopper II arms, yours hopefully, if I can figure an upper mount out, in a #58044 Mitsubishi Pajero style [if you look closely, you can see where Tamiya changed the chassis].
What's the word on creating a motor mount from nylon? I checked both of my trucks and noticed a few cracks. I think nylon would be way more durable for this part.

great work, realy turns the frog into a great looking vintage racing machine :) ,good luck on finding a blue orv chassis, can't wait to see how the rear mod works for the hornet/grashopper , would you do an explaining video how to convert the rear axle?
my frog has an aluminum front skid plate with fiberglass nose brase and I have front shock towers from crp but I can't use them with the stock suspension screws.

I checked and it will not. I have to change the design to integrate into the front bumper but I will do that soon.
Can the CRP bumper be used with your skid plate?
Na, it can't. I decided that I wanted to use the stock Tamiya H1 part as not completely plagiarize their design, hahah
Can I still use the CRP bumper?
Nope, this is for the stock bumper. Sorry I didn't want to copy the CRP design considering you can easily get the CRP skid plates still.
I wish you do some traxxas Improvement parts from emax to xmax to trx4
