The fact that they took the cell phone screen/camera mirror and wrapped it into Prism Lens to be used within OBS is awesome! Kudos to them for reconizing that not everyone is going to be able to swtich to Prism Live, and still offering some of it's best functionality everywhere!
This is awesome. I installed Prism Lens right after watching this video. You are right - this is the best one out there. I discovered that in addition to replacing the background with your own pictures, you can replace the background with your own VIDEO. What a great application. Thank you for posting this.

P.s.: the lenses and masks would be great if they were to come from mobile to the desktop version

I'd like to see a comparison for background removal between Prism Lens and Nvidia Broadcast. Which is going to have less impact on the system and which cuts out the background better regarding artifacts at hands/fingers.
Obviously Nvidia Broadcast does not work with AMD or Intel GPUs so, that's a downside for all which do not have an Nvidia card.

Thank you so much alot of these kind of software you have to pay for. This is the only camera software that is free to use unlimited for the removal of a background. It also saves up money to invest on a green screen thanks alot!!! I'm glad that I've found this! The only thing that I'm missing is a hotkey to stop / start the cam. Also when you stop the lens it will show a Prism Lens image which I'd have to be nothing shown or a custom image when I've disabled it. For the rest it's awesome though so far, but I need a workaround for this though so I can use it for my streams.
It also doesn't start with Windows hidden in the background and there is no system tray icon (only if you start the program the system tray icon appears. It also stays when you close the program). They should implement that aswell imo.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOREVER !!! IVE BEEN TRYING EVERYTHING AND NOW I THINK I HAVE IT . YES WE NEED THE LENSES ON PC . I RECORD MYSELF PLAYING GUITAR AND AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WANT TO SHOW MY FACE YET LOL SO I HAVE BEEN WITHER USING MY PHONE STREAMED LENSES TO MY PC OR HAVE TO RUN THAT SNAP CHAT APP ONTOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE . Hi Mike, great tutorials. Always have easy to understand info. Question (for anyone who knows), I am running 2 lenses, 1 for webcam and 2 for phone cam. Using OBS. The phone cam is portrait as I want but how do I get rid of the black space on the sides? I know it's probably something obvious but I am still lost. Thanks!

Thank you for this video, I am definitely going to give it a try. I use Nvidia Broadcast for my audio and love it but the background removal constantly freezes when streaming with a single pc setup.

Ok so.. i have been bouncing between obs and prism live. Using obs and zoom vs prism and prism lens. At first after looking at the cpu and gpu obs and zoom was using less. With that being said, even tho it used less it still froze and dropped the stream while playing diablo 4. I did the same test with prism live and it never froze or dropped the stream. So i am using prism live now. Now zoom vs prism lens. Lens uses more gpu and the bg removal isnt as clean as zoom. I did mess with the settings and still zoom with a green bg and a chrome key filter works better.. thats just testing since your last video. So thank you for all the info and for getting me to a new streaming software. Also big plus transferring profiles and scenes is extremely easy.

LOVE the video! When i gave it a try tho, I can only get 5 FPS on Prism Lens when using a Logitech c922 and I used to be able to get 30 FPS at 1080. Any ideas?

I was sooooooooo excited watching this!!! I download it. Try it. But it is not working. The cameras to do show as an option in Prism Live or OBS or Streamyard. Nothing. I'm devastated. I restarted the computer. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing. Also when I did the mobile thing and scanned the QR Code, it didn't give me the screen option. I'm REALLY REALLY sad right now. This looked PERFECT! 😢
Its nice, but i cant make the video smaller and have desktop display in the background. When i do, there is a black box around the Prism lens source
heelo Michael im new on this and i try it out i did everything correct it shows and all but when im streaming on twitch somehow it doesnt show the camara why is that? like OBS doesnt recognize it or its been use by other app then no working any ideas?
When I tried to add Lens 1 to either OBS or Live Studio it would only show the Prism Lens logo. Had to uninstall lens and reinstall it to get it working.
is it possible to make the background go away entirely? Like a virtual green screen? no black background

so i have a situation. when i load my cameras, the canon camera does come upside down.... there is no setting that allows me to rotate the image. i checked the canon program and in prism live studio and it shows ok.... any suggestions?

i don't know what am i doing wrong. mine will not brining up the new backround from. LENECE to studio im following your step by the numbers. and nothing even on OBS just the blurried picture from STUDIO but the moving backround from LENCE..can you help me?
(sorry for my bad english) tried prism lens but is caussed to mach cpu performance (7600x - 32gb ram - rtx 3060TI ) it caused my so much cpu performance my game (gtav) feld lagging and obs obs dropped frames. i have gigabit internet and get an average speed of 700/900. seems its not optimized of i missed somthing.
Hello, I am having trouble finding Prism lens in OBS. When I click video capture I do not get the same options as you do. The device only shows me facetime Camera but Prism lens is not an option. Is there something that I am missing? I am on a macbook pro m1. Thank you in advance
Can't install anymore. Your link gives you the download for "PRISM live studio", and once installed there is a button for LENS, which takes you to the site to download "live studio" again. Endless loop and no "Prism Lens" Software to be found.

I do not beleive so. they seperated lens so its a seperate install. its on the same page as the prism download. last I looked.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr No they remove Prism Lens from site. I managed to get it into Prism Live Studio but I forgot how I'll done it.
I have a 2nd Webcam that I can't get the feed to show when it's connected through an USB extension cable. It's works perfectly fine without the extension cable.
@@PhillyDjHook USB is very low power to begin with. an extension may not be able to provide the proper power to the camera.

Prism lens is hiding my web cam in OBS can not seem to fix it.

This doesn't have the desired effect for OBS streamers as there's a still a black background as opposed to it being transparent. No good for us unfortunately. Thought this would've been a better quality option than the OBS BG removal filter but sadly not. Well presented vid none the less
The background will be black unless you put something there like a video or image.
There’s an OBS filter called Chroma Key and it lets you set the color of your green screen. Maybe that would work.
Site only has live studio download now. Prism Lens is gone
Cool feature, BUT... pretty useless on low-mid range computers. Prism Lens takes around 25% of my CPU... and gives a 5 fps output. This is WAY to heavy, for streaming (not even close).
Don't know what they done, but old Prism Cam worked fine. I think putting it on a own process, was a bad idea... for us none high-end users.
I doubt they can tweak it so much, it will be useful for me (us). But i can live without it...
I BET, it's there all performance gain, came from in Prism Studio.... NOT , saying it was a bad idea.... but little "dirty" way to "fix" it. At least Studio works better, and i can take that.
