Hi i'm doing this but i get stuck in a few seconds loop and it only renders the few seconds and not the other 25 seconds on the video
Check if there is a work area end point set on the video and remove it or move further
@@SmertimbaGraphics how does 1 remove that?
There are brackets like indicators on the timeline, shortcut is O key to set an end point, I for start
Hey! this is simillar to key light or what can you tell ? i got videos with green screen
For green screen you just key out the green, no need to mask and rotoscope

hey is it normal if i render a 20 seconds footage with only the rotobrush effect that it takes 1h?

best settings
60fps
graphics card updated and gpu acceleration activated
I somehow cant figure out the problem oor... maybe its normal for 4k footage? What do you think about this problem?

Well, if it's only rotobrush effect being rendered it sounds like a lot, even for 4k footage, if you have other effects on top of that then maybe. I have similar spec PC with the exception of Ryzen cpu and the renders were never that long.

have you done this with a long video? I'm doing it for a 5 minute video and the file sizes have been absolutely massive...
I'm talking 18,500 frames of HD footage lol
Depends on the file format, quicktime will be huge in terms of file size, mp4 should be fine, you could add a green solid layer as a background render it as mp4 and remove the green when needed

So I took out the black background...now I have a green background haha. How do I remove it in After effects? Thank you btw.

You can duplicate the original footage and leave at the bottom and reduce its opacity, then have a rotobrushed layer on top without background with full opacity, hopefully that makes sense😁
@@SmertimbaGraphics it kind of does much i might need a step by step detail if you can, i’m really new to it and im not sure about a lot of things on it
After you do the rotobrush onto a layer and the background is gone and all, duplicate the layer by selecting it go up to layer, duplicate. Then remove the rotobrush effect from the layer that's at the bottom on the timeline, that will bring back the background, then select the bottom layer and press T, then adjust opacity, you can also add more effects, like gaussian blur if you need to slightly blur the background and stuff.
