Thanks for the vid! Also here's a tip - When you're on either of the Roto brushes, you can hold Ctrl/Cmd and Hold Left-Click, Up or Down, to increase or decrease the size of the brush. This is especially useful when you want to select hair using the Refine Edge tool
Thanks!
Thank you for this comment! I am a total newbie to AE so I apprecite the tip.
This is the best AE rotobrush tutorial. Clear step, smooth and easy understanding.

Thanks for making this video for new users. I've watched many others today and they either talk too fast, the video is too long, or they assume the person watching knows how to find everything the mention. I appreciate you explaining the roto brush method so clearly and fluidly!
A great standard of communication! Concise yet thorough, and clearly explained! Very very good!
I've been using Ae for years and i've never heard of this Refined Edge tool, it's a literal game changer for me, thanks a lot !

The rotobrush has unlocked so much video potential for me, and was very fun to learn how to even use. Thank you for the explanation and video.

I like the smudge on the eye. gives it a nice cinematic feel. I give it a perfect 5/7
Thank you. The last tutorial I saw was so unclear on how to delete areas of the brush. It was also a pretty quick tutorial. You're the best.
Thank you for your help. Without your video it would be absolutly impossible for me to create video content. Thank You sooo much!

Everything works for me until 4:33. If I go back to Composition, I just get a black screen. What did I do wrong?

Very systematically you have teach..Thanks for sharing this tutorial..😊

I´ve been trying to use the tool but apparently it only applies it to one frame, so I have to apply the brush frame by frame, is there some way to fix this?
Get a lav mic that clips onto you or a shotgun mic that mounts on the camera. Also, you don't need a wind gag indoors!
Thats an amazing new tool - is that the South Downs looking over Brighton by any chance?
But, my pointer is not changing to a brush tool when I click on That option!!
Hold your mouse button for a while!

That mic wind screen is absolutely ridiculous. Are you filming in a tornado?
Already favorited and liked this video because the tutorial is awesome. Love it.
Perfect! Thanks man.
The one part that 100% of these videos don't cover is how to export without the background with an alpha channel (Prores 4444). I'm trying to do this and I'm getting a partial color bar and random artifacts when I try to export after using the roto brush to remove the background.
So having a small issue here, I'll use the rotobrush fine and it removes exactly what I need then I'll when I begin working on a different thing I'll come back and then the rotobrush will have changed what it is supposed to remove, often removing the clip over. Any ideas what I am doing to cause this or if I'm missing something? Hope I have explained this well enough.
This is going to help me very well. Thanks.
Thank you for this helpful tutorial. I’m new to using rotobrush. I’ve seen some other tutorials that show a freeze process after the initial propagation process. Is the freeze process necessary after the initial propagation, or can I just click on Composition after propagation and not lose the extraction? My laptop has been running for days now going through an initial propagation. This is why I ask. I’d like to skip the many days of “freezing” if not needed.
Thank you so much man! You explained it so well!!! Thanks
Thank you sooooo much

Nice video, however the edges become flicker and the drawing moves elsewhere, which does not give a clean result. What should we do in such a situation?
Thank you for making this video!

It was really helpful
That’s good to hear! Thank you
@@BrookerFilms you're welcome
Thanks for Sharing.
Great explanation! Thank you!
Thank you ever so much!
Say this scene is a few minutes long. What would be the protocol for removing the background, then adding new backgrounds at a later time? I guess it would be cleaning the clip up for further processing. If that makes sense.
Very helpful! Thank you!
I am living for that dead cat! 😂😻
😂😂😂 I lost my foam windshield so made do with that for a while. The amount of comments I get about is hilarious 😂
