Robert and Lily Congratulations on your 3rd Anniversary at Pelicamp! Greg, thanks so much for helping out. Hats off to Jonathan and Mark for a job well done. R&L thanks for presenting an enjoyable and inspiring video and sharing the future plan of Pelicamp.
It’s amazing how time flies, seems like only yesterday we were getting our first glimpses of all the damage caused by Idalia. Thanks for sharing the progress over the many months it has taken to get your sweet Pelicamp all cleaned up. The drone shots were great! Nice surprise bonus episode to liven up a really long day.😌
I agree, that we need to embrace the changes brought about by Hurricane Idalia. I lost as many or more trees than you and now Rancho Del Carl actually looks a lot better! I may regret planting grass and wish I had gone with your mulch idea.
Hello Robert. I am also arranging a neglected area overgrown with trees and other vegetation from the land and the old house from my grandfather. I legally inherited that property. Many of your ideas regarding the arrangement of the outdoor space are similar to my ideas. Big greetings from Croatia and I hope that one day you will come to visit us.
Hi Illy and Robert , Keep some firewood! Love this episode. Rain and cool front tonight will make the trees grow. Don’t forget palm trees will grow well.
I do not miss the hurricanes and tornadoes from when I lived back in the southeast Robert. Lots of work ahead of you, but end results will be good. Now, sitting here watching it snow off and on all day and watching you work.
Ha I just saw this ! We just purchased property in Lake City and just love it!! Leaving the city is probably gonna add 10 more years to our life🦌🏃🏽♀️👍
amazing job with the clean up. that place will grow beautiful again, and quickly too. Give it a year or so and it will be paradise once again. A lot of work and a lot of love, but the results I am sure will be worth it...... as always, safe travels.
Such a beautiful property. It's nice to see you getting it fixed up again after the storm. And I love that your favorite pine tree is still standing even if it is, "crooked like a politician." LOL
Please consider planting Italian cypress trees for neighbor fence line hedge. They hold up well during hurricanes. The only downside with cypress are needles but not the Italian cypress. Not sure check it out.
You might consider scuppernong and muscadine grape vines planted by trees that will go up the trunks and stabilize your trees from winds with the added bonus of encouraging birds to your property. Blueberry bushes don’t require care and give you fruit if birds and squirrels don’t beat you to it. Don’t forget to bring some aloe plants. Put that near your pine trees and you’ll be shocked how it grows. Plus it provides natural healing and prevention of so many things. You definitely could use lime under your shed to keep critters and snakes from moving in. Also consider sinking trailer anchors for the shed to keep it stable in high winds. Both moderately priced precautions that might help. I have a propane bug zapper I bought from my nephew’s movie set you can have (located in Jacksonville), if you think it would help. I use small galvanized buckets with Pic lit inside - the City recommended around the yard that lasts for hours and keeps bugs at bay. My fish pond they advised a tablespoon of vegetable oil to prevent mosquitoes from carrying me away. My fish died during the hurricanes. But they said it didn’t hurt fish. Consider mowing to base of palmettos cause snakes like to hang out there. I hate snakes. Scare me to death. But, I do have a resident black snake who has kept the mean ones blessedly away. Since you travel so much of the time, these suggestions you might consider to make your time in Pelicamp a respite from your journeys.
I think that Pelicamp looks pretty good! I’ve lived in Florida my entire life! I am sick off cleaning up and cutting up downed trees ! Too many hurricanes 🌀 to list .😬 But , I would not live anywhere else! I actually don’t live far from Pelicamp . Thanks for sharing .👍
Carlos was wondering more about your new shed… where did you get it, what’s the size and how much? We’re going to get a container this year, but we also feel a smaller shed would be convenient. Also, we have a shed identical to yours that blew away, ours stayed in place because we have hurricane straps on it. The eye of Idalia was directly over our place. We lost about 100 trees. I highly recommend that you consider them for your new shed.
Seems like a lot of work to maintain Pelicamp. I will be curious to see how a second Pelicamp will turn out. I'm thinking some place out west like AZ or Colorado or heck Montana would be a great choice and a place with less trees.
Hey Robert, that’s funny you got the same lawnmower I had I said I had because I sold it couple days ago it was only a few months old anyway I’ve got land in Bayside Park Bay, St. Louis Mississippi but it’s only maybe an acre total and it’s in the same kind of location. Yours is where 3 miles from the Gulf of Mexico And it’s undeveloped land even though there’s communities living up in there I’ve always wondered what to do with it. This kind of gives me an idea but I’m thinking maybe I should sell it but then again I’m thinking maybe I should keep it since that area slow to develop, but I said people live in there, but I don’t know, this kind of gives me an idea
Don't buy a new pontoon boat. Alot of issues with powder coat peeling and flooring going bad in 3 to 5 years. I recently retired after working on them for 36 years. The older, pre 2011 boats with anodized rails and rubber flooring did well in Salt water. Just a thought.
@@TravelingRobert , thank you! We always enjoy your content. We were in Alaska on our motorcycle around the time you were there-we relive the beauty when we watch your trip videos.
I feel like we need a dedicated Pelicamp song. Something with hurricanes, weedwhackers, bonfires, and IPA in it.

Change is good as evidenced by your hard work and Pelicamp’s future is looking good.
There is something healing about working the land good for soul and mind.
Wait until Spring kicks in, and Pelicamp will look even better.
good to see pelicamp coming back together again, nice video 😊
Pelicamp is looking good, Robert!

I LOVE PELICAMP! Great work on the cleanup. Looking forward to the next chapter for Pelicamp!
Glad you are getting it back to "new" normal. That's a lot of work you did. Looks great. Best of luck.
Looking good Robert
Got the Popcorn and my Great White (Belgin White) from Lost Coast Brewery , ready for the show to begin !!!
Beautiful! Well worth all of the work. 😊watch for snakes! 🐍
Love seeing the progress on Pelicamp👍.
Hi Illy and Robert , Keep some firewood! Love this episode. Rain and cool front tonight will make the trees grow. Don’t forget palm trees will grow well.
Hi Robert! Happy Thursday afternoon!
Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed seeing what you did at Pelicamp. Hopefully no more hurricanes visit there.
Pelicamp is looking good. 👍

Anybplans to replant some trees? You can choose ones that are better able to survive storms or better for shade or your choice.

Looking good Robert! I totally agree with you deciding to get some pros with equipment, I look forward to more updates !
I particularly love your Pelicamp videos! So much inspiration and well done! I have a concrete pad for the camper so love your ideas.
Looking good!! Look into “clumping bamboo” as it will provide an excellent screen without taking over.
Such a beautiful property. It's nice to see you getting it fixed up again after the storm.

Great work. That was an unfortunate mess. Such a Beautiful place ❤
It will look wonderful in time.
Always good to see you Mr. Robert, thanks for the special episode 👍👍🍻
I bet that pine tree starts growing vertically now that nothing is around it.
It will and the limbs will spread out even more. It should become a beautiful tree since it doesn't have to share space with neighbors.
one day at a time Robert 😊 looks 👍🏼 good.
You're a hard-working man I'm pretty impressed I think you're my my hero again and again
Its's a beautiful dream,, I like to see you with a great project ,,Congratulations ....

Yes we think it’s worth a try saving whatever trees you can.. you never know. Pelicamp is looking good.
It's gonna look smashing Robert. Like you said, nature grows 😊
Looking Good !!

That Pine tree reminds me of Fred the Tree on the 7 mile bridge in the Keys. I'll be curious to see if it makes it.
The title song 🎵 sounds so 🆒 with 🎧 on 👍🏻. Time to clean and fix up 🚧🚙🚜🛠🌞🌳🌾🌴. After work then we can 🍻🍰🥃🍔 @Traveling Robert
Very nice!
Love pelicamp
Perhaps we can camp on that new site 😂 ❤. Thanks for sharing Robert
It looks good Robert-Lots of hard work for sure 😊
Nice update on pelicamp me and Rebecca see you tomorrow night

I got it at Michelle's Bullpen in Perry. It was around $2,300
👍🏼 great! That’s where we bought our cabin!
Is it about 8’x10’?
Love yard working. I think it looks even better. You need some chickens on the property.
Think you'll regret buying such a tiny shed. I would have gotten one at least twice as big!
They also used an oversized trailer for the delivery of that shed...
Gooooood Morning from Switzerland...... What do you think about new trees in your Pelicamp, Robert? Greetings Thomas
Fantastic episode! 👌

In that intersection if you put cardboard down before you put mulch down you won't have as many weeds
❤❤❤
I need a grapple for my Kubota - it made a tough job much easier.
Maybe some new music for this year?
The dead hanging limbs what are called widow makers. Guess why?
For the stump grinding , Was this Mark Moneyhan at Tall Timber Tree Service & Stump Grinding on beach road?
That's the man
@@TravelingRobert I still have a couple stumps to get rid of myself

Awesome Robert. Do you miss your helper Kate the pitbull
We actually saw her a few days ago. She moved to a new house.
i am offended you think we are not professional, Johnnie Black Label makes every a pro
I mean, you 2 were only gone for such a short time, sure can’t believe how fast everything grew. 😉😅 (jk)
My husband and I just watched your video, and we have a question. What is a betey? I’m not sure I’m spelling that correctly.
Batey is the Taino word for "square" or "plaza". Taino were the indigenous people of the northern Caribbean, where I'm from.

Would you be interested in selling your property and if you are what would you want for it!

The "tiny" life looks expensive. If you add up the tiny campers, tiny sheds, tiny houses, tiny properties, not so tiny?🏕
