For the drawers I usually wrap the box with plastic wrap and use wheel straps on all 4 wheels and criss cross them to keep the box from shifting when turning with straps you can control the tightnes but for that size toolbox i use 1 strap and two 2x4 for the top but like you said everybody does it differently and you've had no problems doing it that works for you good job
You can pull it any way you want. I do it this way cause the base for the wheels that don’t turn have more room to hook to and makes it easier to load.
Omg bro you tool box relocation can be drama some times because usually the customer got fired or quit last one I was on the manager and shop owner where going at it it was so awkward! Good job brother!
Thanks. I spoke with the customer and had it set up so when I got there I wouldn’t have issues but the guy who brought the box out seemed like a cocky jerk.
im a mechanic myself and this is always my worry is what happen when i get fired or quit or whatever, the owner will be pissed off and there is drama for shure, especially when there is 10000s of dollars of tools involved.
Niceeeeee ....Brother can u tell me where did u get those blue compartments to put everything separated in the toolbox.I wanted everything to be organized but don't know where can I find something like u have ...And yes always thankful for ur neutral vdos helpful for me all the time 🤜🤛👍
Thanks! A coworker gave me some of his bins. I love to have my boxes organized. You can get cheap ones from harbor freight but they don’t last long especially in the winter but he got them from www.uline.com/Grp_325/Plastic-Bins
I take no chances with the locked drawers. Last thing I want is for them to open and lose anyones tools and have to pick up tools on the highway or cause an accident. Ir has happened to people and I don’t want it to happen to me 😂 Thanks for watching.
Interesting that you use chains. I only use straps, no metal touches the toolbox at all. I may give it a shot on the back casters next time. Thx for shooting the vid! Always nice to see other ways of doing things properly. Btw... I make customer sign damage waiver on every toolbox prior to hook up. No signature, no service.
Some people use straps on the casters. I haven’t had an issue yet we’re doing it that way and I’m only making the chains snug so it’s not really gonna damage anything. I just use it to keep the toolbox from rocking back-and-forth during transport. I take pictures before and after of everything. Usually the customers do signs of damage waiver but he wasn’t there. I always like to see the different ways people do things as well but I’ve seen a couple of videos on RUclips labeled “how to tow a toolbox” but then you don’t see every step which is pointless because anyone that wants to learn how to do it didn’t learn from the video they made. Usually I load the toolboxes quicker but because this was a video on how I do it I wanted to make sure to include every step so anyone that wants to learn can actually learn from the video. Thanks for watching!
Too much stress towing tool boxes. I don't do them anymore. Customers don't want to pay. They want to pay less than $100, but if something happens...you just bought a new tool box. Not worth it. In my opinion.
I definitely know how that goes. I’ve had customers complain about the pricing. I tell them you have thousands of dollars between the box and the tools and you wanna complain about the price. Same goes for motorcycles. $100,000 motorcycles and they wanna cry about the prices.
I would trust this man! This is PRO! Straps on the drawers is key! The box can tip over when the drawers open up. I have seen it.
🤜🤛

Thanks! The shrink wrap is a great idea.
Yes...pulling from the wheels that don't turn is very important..
Explain
What happens when you pull from the wheels that do turn because that seems to be the best way to do it in my mind
You can pull it any way you want. I do it this way cause the base for the wheels that don’t turn have more room to hook to and makes it easier to load.
@@TowMan127 it's alot easier is all..
I’m literally doing one today. Perfect timing
🤜🤛
Brotha you make my job so much easier I really appreciate the videos
Glad to help! Be safe out there.
Thank youuuu! Your a bad ass. Great trainer:)

I appreciate your support brother. Be safe out there. 🤜🤛

Those side boxes are pretty organized! And that dolly setup is slick! Nice rig dude. And informative video!
Thanks brother. I try to keep my boxes as organized as possible.
What does that cost to move the tool box?
$250 and up
Glad to add this to my Arsenal ik I'll be moving one sooner then later
🤜🤛
has anyone used AAA to have your toolbox towed?
Not that I’m aware of and I haven’t towed anyone’s toolbox using AAA.
@@TowMan127 wt going rate for toolbox tow? im going 20 miles and i got quoted $400 bucks for 73inch toolbox no top

Some of those tool boxes and tools cost as much as a car. Nice lesson.
Yeah the toolboxes are very expensive which is why I take my time and make sure they won’t go anywhere off my truck.
I have towed SEVERAL toolboxes
I do the same...sometimes i ask for help to hold tool box while i winch so it wont move like a 🐍
Yeah I used to do that but now thankfully I have a remote for the winch.
@@TowMan127 yeap 👌
Bit of overkill with the IKEA straps but nevertheless a saftey net 👌 good work

You just have to explain a price is a price for a reason you got insurance, hourly wage, gas .etc..
