6. The hair doesnt have to cover your eye.

"Emo" originally started as a music genre, then slowly created into a type of fashion. People would listen to "emo-core" music, and over time, "emo-core" bands began dressing in the style. And other people who liked the music soon followed the band members in fashion sense. "emotional-core" music was normally deep and dark, so naturally most of the people who liked the music were more in tune with there darker side of mind than others. A LOT of happy, well minded people listened to "emo" music.
