Someone plz help!! I don't think scene/emo hair would look good on me :< and I think my friends would make fun of me and laugh. I wore something I don't usually wear and they were all laughing and comparing Me with some random thing. Like, "Sorry I can't take you seriously because you look like ___!" It kinda hurts and I really wanna dress and look like this. Help!! :[
Noo I’m so sorry :(( If your friends don’t support what makes you happy then that’s their problem, you should be able to dress however makes you comfortable!
Listen to me. You don't need to look good for other people. The whole purpose of scene culture is to piss off people who want you conform!! Do what makes ya happy! ❤
this was rlly encouraging, ive always loved the feel of emo scene fashion since i was a kid but just never got around to dressing like it for the most part and i always knew since its relatively minimalist stuff it was right up my alley, lately ive been looking to tap back into it more and in the area i live with pretty dissapointing finds at thrift stores, I'll try to look for some other places, and wise of hair i just prefer to keep my natural curly poc textures and googling simplistic possible outfits now adays just seems so impossible idk whyy, i just rlly need sum more stuff in my closet
im not a fan of dressing feminine either, you dont have to wear the tutus or tiaras, or feminine stuff! you can look up pics of scene boys/scene kings for reference :33
Sometimes it's just best to DIY! It feels great to DIY stuff sometimes, I mean the more time you put into it the longer that "brand new" feeling is going to last.
Unfortunately "thrifters", as they so call themselves, of started going to thrift stores and taking the good clothing from them whenever they can afford to go to Walmart or the mall they are just taking all the actually good clothing out of like Goodwill and whatnot and then leaving people who can't afford Walmart or the supermarket to trashy clothing that was being used and given to the Goodwill because they accept that where I am. It's sad because it makes it to where I can't find clothes that I need but it also makes it to where I can't find clothes that fit in my style because they're really only taking the good clothes that fit into specific styles and it's really upsetting. :(
Also I would like to add that well I know tight fitting clothing was a big part of seeing emo fashion I personally feel that there are a lot of people out there who don't like clothes that fit tied to them such as myself and while everyone has their personal reasons for me is personally because of the fact that I am transgender and I'm not allowed to have a chest finder so being seen would be kind of hard in that sense but I feel like you could make it work and you don't absolutely have to buy form-fitting clothing I don't feel like it is an exact necessity I feel like it would just need to match the style of design not really the style of tightness ^^
i really want to dress scene but im autistic and i have sensory issues and i cant deal with certain textures and general tightness- also where i live its kinda hard to find anything alt really :'( so idrk what to do but i am *determined* to work around it!!
same i can only wear the majority of my ~aesthetic~ outfits for short periods of time so my day to day look is pretty much band shirt and jeans and no accessories :p it’s been a huge problem trying to find stuff i actually like that doesn’t make my brain itch but my collection of cute and “safe” clothes has gotten a lot bigger with time!
What if ur like… chubby for tight shirts? Because I feel like even if I wear a tight shirt in my size, it would sill feel uncomfortable. I mean- do you HAVE to wear tight shirts?
I feel so happy by the fact that some scenekids diy their clothes, for me is so hard to find scene clothes cuz where i live thrift stores don't rlly have good things and my parents doesn't like buying clothes online (plus is kinda more expensive) so i wanted to paint some of my shirts and make them more scene but i was scared that it was not possible
Hiiii! I ADORE your style, is so cool. I really wanna dress scene/scenmo, but a really big thing for me is I never wear tight fitting clothes because they’re uncomfortable for me 3: Do you have any tips for dressing scene without tighter clothes?
i’m not sure if this will help but you definitely don’t need tight fit clothes to be scene! i’ve seen pictures of scene kids in like baggy skater jeans held up by several studded and checkered belts layered with a hoodie on top on my pinterest and it definitely has the same effect :)
Literally thank you so much for this, I love your channel so freakin much!! I’m 19 and goth, but I’ve been trying to branch out and try other fashions/subcultures and haven’t known how to do so
Sooo cool to see scene coming back! As someone born in late 1996, when scene fashion was a thing in the 2000s, I was a bit too young to participate in it, but I always admired it from afar and the outfits are so colourful and creative. I love the black/bright colour contrast and the mix of dark and cutesy elements. Not sure if I personally would do the typical scene haircut or dye it, but I love the clothing and accessories, so I'm glad to see it coming back!
Ok I have the worst problem EVER I dress scene but like I can’t wear skinny jeans 1. Because I have thicker thighs 2. I don’t like the feel of the jeans because idk why

Help!! :[
Noo I’m so sorry :((
If your friends don’t support what makes you happy then that’s their problem, you should be able to dress however makes you comfortable!
Thank you!! I'll try to talk to them abt it :
Listen to me. You don't need to look good for other people. The whole purpose of scene culture is to piss off people who want you conform!! Do what makes ya happy! ❤
Been a scene girl since 2000’s , started to incorporate my own little niches into my style to kinda develop into my own look too
Ok wait I’m definitely too young for my teen years already coming back.. 😂 Now I miss my MySpace Account...
i remember 2014 is emo teen me but originally i think it start from year 2006 ?
LUV UR VIDS!! U SHULD DO A MAKEUP TUT 💗💗
this was rlly encouraging, ive always loved the feel of emo scene fashion since i was a kid but just never got around to dressing like it for the most part and i always knew since its relatively minimalist stuff it was right up my alley, lately ive been looking to tap back into it more and in the area i live with pretty dissapointing finds at thrift stores, I'll try to look for some other places, and wise of hair i just prefer to keep my natural curly poc textures
and googling simplistic possible outfits now adays just seems so impossible idk whyy, i just rlly need sum more stuff in my closet
Ngl, the captions for the video said "Eagle." And not "E-girl." When you was saying it. Lol
ugh my thrift shops only have granny clothes :((
Same 😭
Found this on my fyp
Same
scene fashion is so feminine i dont want ppl to think im a girl and i dont rlly feel comfortable dressing feminine 🙁
Don't worry! I don't know your gender but if your a man you can be a scene king, or cut out more of the female stuff :4
im not a fan of dressing feminine either, you dont have to wear the tutus or tiaras, or feminine stuff! you can look up pics of scene boys/scene kings for reference :33
Can yall please bring scene kids/emos before my school kills me from dressing scene and listening to scene music
10:52 theres also studded belts at walmart (yes ik this was 3 years ago)
As a former scene kid in 2024, thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY FRIENDS KEEP CALLING ME EMO MY AUNT CALLS ME EMO MY SISTERS CALL ME EMO BUT I WANT TO BE SCENE SO BADDDD
Sometimes it's just best to DIY! It feels great to DIY stuff sometimes, I mean the more time you put into it the longer that "brand new" feeling is going to last.
Do they have to be denim? I have autism and denim reallt sets me off ^w^’’
saw someone with the same issue, people were saying skirts or colorful shorts also work, aswell as someone who said leggings :)
@@vintag3_l0ver Cool! Ty, I appreciate that!
Also I would like to add that well I know tight fitting clothing was a big part of seeing emo fashion I personally feel that there are a lot of people out there who don't like clothes that fit tied to them such as myself and while everyone has their personal reasons for me is personally because of the fact that I am transgender and I'm not allowed to have a chest finder so being seen would be kind of hard in that sense but I feel like you could make it work and you don't absolutely have to buy form-fitting clothing I don't feel like it is an exact necessity I feel like it would just need to match the style of design not really the style of tightness ^^
i'm not even into loking scene but watchng her just makes me happy
i really want to dress scene but im autistic and i have sensory issues and i cant deal with certain textures and general tightness- also where i live its kinda hard to find anything alt really :'( so idrk what to do but i am *determined* to work around it!!
same i can only wear the majority of my ~aesthetic~ outfits for short periods of time so my day to day look is pretty much band shirt and jeans and no accessories :p it’s been a huge problem trying to find stuff i actually like that doesn’t make my brain itch but my collection of cute and “safe” clothes has gotten a lot bigger with time!
i'm in the same situation :C i looove the skinny jeans n tight shirts outfits but my sensory issues and my body type just said no
What if ur like… chubby for tight shirts? Because I feel like even if I wear a tight shirt in my size, it would sill feel uncomfortable. I mean- do you HAVE to wear tight shirts?
No! You don't always have to wear tight shirts :D
@@khloetriana thank you! :)
I watch this video like every 2 months when I can’t sleep, and I LIVE by “you don’t always have to dress in one certain style”
I ONLY HAVE PASTEL KANDI CHAT AM I COOKED ☠
also party city often has cool socks, arm warmers, fishnet gloves, etc. also probably would have a bunch of cool stuff for diy jewelry
omg yes they have lil monster high and hello kitty party favors that i like making stuff out of
I wish I could do my hair like yours but mine is curly 🥲🥲🥲 every time I try it looks trash🥲
same😭‼️
@@strawberry.bl00d 😭😭😭
I know a lot of scene kids who only straighten their bangs and keep the rest of their hair natural, u could try that!
@@mcrmakesmedance I didn’t think of that! Thank you! I’ll try it! 💜
Short.. And scene..?
BE MY BESTFRIEND! >x3
I NEED THEM TO BE MINE ASWELL! IM SHORT AND SCENE!
Hiiii! I ADORE your style, is so cool. I really wanna dress scene/scenmo, but a really big thing for me is I never wear tight fitting clothes because they’re uncomfortable for me 3: Do you have any tips for dressing scene without tighter clothes?
I wanna be scenemo/scene so bad and I'm sadly don't have much money to spend so I'm hoping this will help
for all my uk scenekids, a thrift store is literally a charity shop :DD
I love the scene stuff, but tight fit clothing triggers my gender dysphoria unfortunately.
i’m not sure if this will help but you definitely don’t need tight fit clothes to be scene! i’ve seen pictures of scene kids in like baggy skater jeans held up by several studded and checkered belts layered with a hoodie on top on my pinterest and it definitely has the same effect :)
^^ yes to this comment! the tight clothing is more specific to the 2000s than the scene look haha
Thank you to both of you :D your replies have made me feel a lot better
I just love you!! I share your page to anyone who wants to dress alt and scene
My friend really wants to be scene and I want to be cutecore so I might send this! :3 X3
I have *massive* diversity of fashion, although one of my favorite styles (I don't have at all) is scene and emo. Thanks for this :D
You look like scene 2015 Taylor swift
Literally thank you so much for this, I love your channel so freakin much!! I’m 19 and goth, but I’ve been trying to branch out and try other fashions/subcultures and haven’t known how to do so
*wear tight fitting shirts* me, a chubby person: i dont think i understand XD
Sooo cool to see scene coming back! As someone born in late 1996, when scene fashion was a thing in the 2000s, I was a bit too young to participate in it, but I always admired it from afar and the outfits are so colourful and creative. I love the black/bright colour contrast and the mix of dark and cutesy elements. Not sure if I personally would do the typical scene haircut or dye it, but I love the clothing and accessories, so I'm glad to see it coming back!
Ok I have the worst problem EVER I dress scene but like I can’t wear skinny jeans
1. Because I have thicker thighs
2. I don’t like the feel of the jeans because idk why
So don’t wear them then…
@@hentai7444 but like it’s for the fashion it’s literally the aesthetic how could I not when literally so many scene kids wore skinny jeans
@@star..boy.10 u can make scene ur own instead of being a carbon copy I know loads of them wore tutus and shorts or just wear the skinny jeans with rips in them or don’t, personalise it to ur taste don’t force urself into things u don’t like
british thrift/charity stores are usually really bad, kinda just like a bunch of old lady clothes, so agksdfgkdf
want to be emo again and even though youre more scene i get a lot of inspiration from u
Yup 10 years ago when I was an emo /scene kid . We were poor so most of me and my friends only had a few basic pieces. We had the same converse and bangs for 2 years and when we had a bit of money we spent it at hot topic buying accessories and belts and 2 good band t shirts . Aghhh I'm an elder emo kid now 😅
New scene kid and l love ur vids they so helpful l love them btw can you show what it like for you not so new scene kids / people just wondering ty for making this vid
Dressed up scene for yearbook photo day this school year X3
Need non-American options for scene stuff
also, if you're like, not over 30, your mom probably has some cool bows or converse she'll let you borrow, thats how i got most of my wardrobe!
I love this!! Im 13 and trying to match this style and most of the time these tutorials aren’t something my parents would let me wear
Ok so like what if you live in the middle of yeehaw nowhere and there's nothing good at goodwill? (no other thrift shops its all basic southern white girl stuff everywhere😭)
