I’ve been struggling with my blood pressure while on medication I would wake up at 170/115 avg. I saw one of your videos for the first time on Thursday about magnesium, so I started to take JYM ZMA - zinc, magnesium workout recovery pills. The issue is the zinc used doesn’t have that great of an absorption rate. I have woken up the past two mornings with an approved BP around 148/100. I put in 5000 IU of D3 with the magnesium drink mix. My blood pressure was 160/111 before I took it. After two hours I retook my readings (20 minutes ago), I about died when I saw 128/82. This means I’m severely deficient of Magnesium. Thank you for all of your videos and research!!!! I’ll reply back to this post after a week and a month of doing this combo and share my findings.

You are absolutely correct, of course, about both magnesium benefits and the way doctors, even cardiologists, don't bother to check intra-cellular mag much less suggest it to patients - especially to those with arrhythmias whether PSVT, a-fib or from, supposedly, " just anxiety." It's maddening. Thanks for getting this information out there!!!
You are very talented with your knowledge of heart attacks. I would LOVE it if you can look into SCAD. It is an uncommon type of “heart attack” but so far I have had three. What I have learned is that it is hormonal related and stress related, of which I have both. Can you suggest what to do?
He made at least 10 very helpful videos on heart attacks and some more on heart health, true vitamin e: tocotrienols, on hormones, on stress and especially on their relation with correct amounts of D3&K2. These help me so much.
My family history is similar to yours Dr. Berg. My grandfather on my father's side had seven strokes, and my father had several also. My mother also had a heart condition. This is the main reason I am vigilant in trying to stay as healthy as possible. At 65 years of age, so far no major issues.
Centenarians often possess genetic markers that contribute to their long lifespans by promoting resistance to age-related diseases, maintaining healthy metabolic function, and protecting against cellular damage. Some key genetic markers and factors associated with longevity in centenarians include: 1. APOE Gene Variants: The APOE gene, which is involved in lipid metabolism, has three variants: APOE2, APOE3, and APOE4. Centenarians are more likely to carry the APOE2 variant, which is associated with a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease and cardiovascular issues, while the APOE4 variant is linked to higher risks of these conditions. 2. FOXO3A Gene: This gene is involved in the regulation of the body’s stress response, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation control. The FOXO3A variant is found more frequently in centenarians, and it enhances cellular repair mechanisms and resistance to oxidative stress, key factors in slowing aging. 3. Telomere Length Genes (TERT and TERC): Genes involved in maintaining telomere length, such as TERT (telomerase reverse transcriptase) and TERC (telomerase RNA component), play a role in cellular aging. Centenarians often have genetic variants that allow for longer telomeres, which help protect chromosomes from damage and delay cellular senescence. 4. SIRT Genes (Sirtuins): Sirtuins, such as SIRT1, are a family of proteins that regulate cellular processes like DNA repair, inflammation, and metabolism. Genetic variations in sirtuins are linked to enhanced longevity by promoting metabolic health and protecting against age-related diseases. 5. DNA Repair Genes (TP53): Centenarians tend to have more efficient DNA repair mechanisms, which protect against mutations that can lead to cancer and other age-related diseases. Variants in the TP53 gene, known as the “guardian of the genome,” help maintain genomic integrity. 6. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) Variants: Some centenarians possess specific mitochondrial DNA haplotypes that are associated with more efficient energy production and reduced oxidative stress, which contributes to healthier aging. 7. Inflammation-Regulating Genes (IL-6, TNF-alpha): Centenarians often carry variants in inflammation-regulating genes like IL-6 and TNF-alpha, which help control chronic low-grade inflammation (inflammaging) that typically accelerates aging and disease. These genetic markers, combined with lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity, and social engagement, contribute to the remarkable longevity seen in centenarians.

Talk about perfect timing I went to the ER few days ago 141/122 I’m 40 never had high blood pressure and a family history of diabetes heart pacemaker etc 😢
I tested and was diagnosed with hypertension and the doctor never asked specific nutrition questions, whipped out the prescription pad and in 3 months he prescribed 4 blood pressure medicines. Never once trying to determine what is the cause. Glad that there are holistic informed and truly presenting natural alternatives over deadly prescriptions. Sadly it's the mainstream teaching to prescribe medicine instead of prevention.

My grandfather passed away from heart attack when I was 10 so I don't know clearly. I watch this topic 3 times already but still keep it in mind that what I learned from your advise.
Dr Berg. I had cramps in my feet. After consuming daily pumpkin seeds this went away. You say in the video that 5,6 ounces are needed. I take around 40 gram a day. 5,6 ounces is around 145 grams that's quite a lot.
Dr. Berg discusses the importance of magnesium for heart health, explaining its role in preventing heart attacks, regulating calcium, and supporting overall cardiovascular function. He highlights magnesium deficiency symptoms and causes, comparing magnesium's effects to common heart medications.
Dr Berg, you never cease to amaze me with the timing of your video uploads!! The general topic of your videos always seem to creepily align with my thoughts of the day!!
If you experience leg cramps, which seem to occur sometime during the nights, like I used to, take 400 mg of Magnesium Bisglycinate about a half hour before bed and never suffer through them again! My doctor suggested that to me, perhaps 20 years ago and I've passed it along to friends who also found immense relief from those cramps. Honestly, you'll be so surprised at the results!

Hi there. Magnesium supplements are generally safe. Just follow the instructions on the label of the supplement that you will get. -Dr. Berg's Support Team
Supposedly so, but they do not say how much is too much, because they know that taking more Mg is actually good for you, just like D. Daily dosage is about 400mg, but that is what you need, not what you absorb, even with the best Mg you will absorb about half. Good Mg supplements contain about 100mg per pill, you would need to take like 20 pills a day for days to overdose, but you would clearly feel it. Mg powder is more problematic. I myself take supplements 5 days a week and then I take weekend off to detox, if I take too much of anything.
I tried magnesium several times and the effect was not what i expected. Within minutes it caused such muscle weakness as if i have walked 10 miles uphill and my heart felt odd. I heard about relaxation but imagined a more pleasant feeling. The first time i tried it was an Epsom salt bath and the second magnesium citrate. Mg oxide did't have any effect and now i know why. I'm really afraid of taking Mg glycinate. P.S. I don't have any heart problems yet and i have low blood pressure.
btw for anyone reading i had magnesium defiancey for the longest time i had multiple heart attack and went to the doctor multiple times with nothing to say to me about my condition, i had a poor diet and exercised intensely almost everyday, once i changed my diet and took multivimin supplement everything became better.

Solid information Doc, broken down succinctly! You're literally a lifesaver.😊

To me reading some of the comments on Dr Berg videos are encouraging words and you can even learn lot of stuff from reading the comments. even on his Facebook page, community page, that some of us don't know about the community page, I always check out his live video later on a Saturday morning. Dr. Berg God bless you.........
Would be interested in that topic as well.
He made at least 10 very helpful videos on heart attacks and some more on heart health, true vitamin e: tocotrienols, on hormones, on stress and especially on their relation with correct amounts of D3&K2. These help me so much.
@@experimenthealthyketo83 ty for your reply. Are you familiar with SCAD?
My family history is similar to yours Dr. Berg. My grandfather on my father's side had seven strokes, and my father had several also. My mother also had a heart condition. This is the main reason I am vigilant in trying to stay as healthy as possible. At 65 years of age, so far no major issues.
yes I take Hawthorne berry and garlic and cayenne and magnesium every day
Centenarians often possess genetic markers that contribute to their long lifespans by promoting resistance to age-related diseases, maintaining healthy metabolic function, and protecting against cellular damage. Some key genetic markers and factors associated with longevity in centenarians include:

Ive taken Mg Glycinate for a couple of years, and felt good and it was tolerated well. I found Magnesium L Threonate and the further improvement in sleep and energy has been noticeable. I also take D3, K2-mk 7 and zinc daily. Good information Dr Berg!

Thank you! I take mag bisglycinate and potassium daily ❤️
Talk about perfect timing I went to the ER few days ago 141/122 I’m 40 never had high blood pressure and a family history of diabetes heart pacemaker etc 😢
He's made more very helpful videos on these subjects. highly recommend.
SUCH A IGREAT TOPIC AND REALLY AMAZING EXPLANATION. I don't know how to express my feelings to admire and appreciate your information. Thankful dr Berg for your priceless information. My grandfather passed away from heart attack when I was 10 so I don't know clearly. I watch this topic 3 times already but still keep it in mind that what I learned from your advise.
Thanks for the info 😊
Dr Berg.
I had cramps in my feet. After consuming daily pumpkin seeds this went away. You say in the video that 5,6 ounces are needed. I take around 40 gram a day. 5,6 ounces is around 145 grams that's quite a lot.
Thank you doctor for this valuable information. I wish you a happy life.
After watching 100 Dr. Berg vids, I'm now wired to stay away from carbs, seed oils and MSG like the plague.
As a cook I'm so tired of everybody blaming MSG nobody uses that anymore and I'm tired of the disking of seed oils seed oils are gods oils their natural stay away from canola oil, but I totally agree with the magnesium deficiency
If you're doing weights, you'll need some sort of carbs. Sweet potato is a good choice.
@@kimm59 You do realize that MSG has taken on many names, one in being is natural flavors? Plus Chinese food restaurants still use it immensely, but they don't eat what thery sell. By the way I cook everyday and seed oils are not good, they are inflammatory and go rancid with a few minutes as they convert from seeds.
After 100 berg videos I’m now only allowed to consume COD Liver and grass fed red meat
@@kimm59
No need to take it personally. MSG is in many products. I've even seen it in kimchi.
Thanks Doc. I am taking daily magnesium glycinate and omega 3. Doc, what do you think about Vitamin B complex ?
many times he has suggested getting B vitamins from something like UNFORTIFIED Nutritional Yeast

This is off topic, but Dr Berg I would LOVE LOVE if you'd cover breast implant illness. So many people go through this and after i removed mine 5 days ago, my life has CHANGED in so many amazing ways. With all the intermittent fasting and keto diet...i am about as healthy ALREADY as i can be, for 61.
It's beyond me why people want implants at first place, putting silicone in their bodies. glad you are feeling great.
@@BainsPummysame. Although I’ve always wanted a breast reduction. I wonder if Dr Berg would suggest not doing this. Im 53 yrs old and that’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
I read that 50% of all women have implants. Thanks to the porn industry, there is a lot of pressure on women to feel more "feminine" or sexy...when we already are created that way!

Can you overdoes on Magnesium?
Of course. Overdose is also harmful. Supplementation should be guided by blood test. Normal blood level is:1.82 - 2.43 mg/dl.
