Tutorial On How To Removing Stickers From LEGO Bricks

Removing stickers from LEGO bricks is easy in this how to tutorial using paint thinner, soap and water, and patience. This tutorial is intended for adults as we are using a flammable abrasive. This tutorial may also work for removing other oil-base sticker residue from other items.

Big fan, but I would suggest some methods that are far less hazardous.
I refurbish vintage electronics and antiques for a living, including vintage LEGO, there are many delicate old plastics and other materials I need to deal with and often need to remove adhesive residue.
You can buy large packs of plastic razor blades from Amazon cheaply, fit them in a scraper, and safely remove the paper aspects of the sticker without risking harm to the part. As for the residue, Goo Gone is very effective on most materials, including LEGO, and doesn’t risk harm to the plastic, with not residual smell long term, short term Goo Gone is citrus oil based, and safe in enclosed environments and for your skin.
A very small amount of Goo Gone goes a long way as well, I can clean an entire PC case with a dime sized application on a paper towel.

I use a thin razor blade. Also use it to remove dirt off of sticker. Put sticker on wax paper for future use

if you want a non chemical, non smelly, non toxic, non abrasive alternative, put a little olive oil on a q-tip, dab it on the glue and let it sit for 5-10 min out of the water, then wash with dawn dishwashing liquid and water with your hands and it comes right off.

Goo gone works well also and it smells good too :) It helps with unwanted odors. I know you don't use stickers....did you find a good deal on some used brick? I always get excited over a good deal, but the cleaning and the sorting of it sucks some of that excitement away. lol
