Inveraray Castle was used in the TV series Downton Abbey when the characters visited their Scottish friends.
What you didn’t realise was that on the top of the hill behind where the hielan coos were there is the watchtower. You can see its ruins.
I hope to go to Inverary one day. The home of my ancestors...
