honestly her twirl really needed longer I-frames to projectiles. and her low ex-ballerina should probably go under some projectiles. Since she is geared towards a more fluid counter part to the more stone like marisa her dodging capabilities should be better.
They really needed to make her anti fireball game better. This is a big oversight imo
She got some big buffs. And she's supposed to have trouble getting in she's a grappler. But I know hoping people give it even a day before complaining is asking for the sun moon and stars.
The point is to struggle vs fireballs. This is why grapplers don't just get teleports or something.
@@KidArkx she doesnt need a teleport man, she just needs her anti fireball tool to actually work cause that shit is a gamble rn on your part, not on what the opponent might do
@@KidArkx that works in theory if her throws had good oki but they don't. she has to deal with way too many obstacles to get in
If they can improve AKI’s anti-fireball they could have improved hers. Thats what every Manon player was hoping for. It’s reach isnt the best already and it’s slow to attack at least give it full invincibility

She still gonna be low tier not so suitable for competition I think. I'm pretty sure she's another one of those characters that Capcom has no idea what to do with. It's kinda sad because she has one of the best designs in the game visually and moveset

You can never tell if a caracter is top or not on the patch notes only, blanka took a long ass time to be seen as a actual treat, luke also didnt start well and ended as the best one, so dont lose hope

@@markusbrendon I think we understand more about what is good in this game at this point though. How she interacts with the new system mechanics is the thing that's going to have the biggest effect.
At first I was a little disappointed in the changes especially to her spin kick actually working but I feel like it’s enough for me to personally deal with her shortcomings and have loads of fun with her again. It is hard to move to another character I love her so much!
Edit: Honestly the level 1 supposed consistency change is the highlight for me, so many times where I just decided not to use it for round enders or close to but have lost trust in it because it whiffs when it looks like it should have hit.
This is steps in the right direction, but still feels like Capcom is afraid to make a grappler good ever since Gief in SFIV. The back heavy punch is for sure the biggest thing here, but yeah her Grand Fouetté definitely needed more of a buff than what they gave it.
Lots of quality of life changes. Not the main change I wanted, but they did add another use to medals and made b+HP make sense so I'm hopeful. I honestly feel like their main focus should have been on spin rather than any of the other stuff she got, but I'll take it.

I'm just a spectator and a long time fan of the game. But seeing iDoms performance at Redbull has turned me against Manon. My feeling is if iDom had a different main he would have done a lot better.
He also doesn't a replacement for Poison yet (no, Aki doesn't count)
But yeah I hope idom gets more results this season or finds a new character to do it with

@@versatilelord8893 Aki uses poison so at first we thought (or we memed?) that idom might pick up Aki heh heh, but yeah
+1 Back HP looks good on paper but in practice it has way too much pushback and you can't confirm into anything without using 3 bars.
You can now backdash after a blocked B.HP and not get clipped by an opponent cr.MK AND after a DR, you get a MP or OD Command grab tick throw
The Power creep in this game is going to be INSANE.
With the general damages nerfs to many characters, command throw characters that can just force easy 50/50s with drive rush normals are an even greater threat.
Raw drive reversal on wakeup helps
It's really annoying dealing with AKI and her fireball. The Manon spin NEVER gets past it.

I don't mind if most are just Qol change.They are all actually needed. My most welcome is that crouch lk can now be combo without worry the distance. Good Lord, how many times I can't connect for complete combo with crouck lk after doing drive cancel. Makes waste 3 drive gauge for gaining nothing.
She got waaaaaay more than I expected. Let's go queens! 🙌
Some cool buffs but still frustrating to play as her, I guess the game is just not for me, will wait the next characters

Actually, they buffed her a lot, I don't think she is top tier now, but definitely she can fight back now

Kind of wish they made her anti fireball game a little more reliable. She still needs to play an honest ground game, but at least the medal gimmick for her lvl3 will play more into her "Power" type playstyle Capcom listed in the character select lol. That and the changes to to Parry, Drive Rush and having Recovery Drive reversal may help her a little more for her ground game.
Some stuff I found that wasn't in the change list was her heavy punch target combo seems to always leave them point blank now so you can always either cr lk st lp or heavy command grab. Also her command throws leave her further away 😞
I dont think they touched hp hp tc cuz even before they were always next to you. Command grab only had that one change and the distance doesnt seem changed at all
@@2doges1bong at max range they were too far to HP command grab and you could only do one light attack now you get the heavy command grab or 2 lights
She got buffed YES... but only Finally to play S1 properly... we are on Season 2 ...
This might be enough to Push her out of bottom 1, but prob not bottom 5

Im gonna make a guess that manom is actually good now, the back hp is one of the main reasons for that, being now a legit guess for comand grab on dr, for a comand grab caracter that is huge

My friend, Manon received huge buffs to her striking and pressure. She can deal huge damage now while most of the cast received global damage nerf. Also, the changes to parry and the addition of recovery drive reversal are a buff for her. She will be a threat this season, a real threat.
Not a tournament viable character, but you can yolo casino on ranked.

Play her like a yolo casino and your ass is gonna get rocked consistently and with ease
You need to be fundamentally sharp to win with this character consistently

We all know that these buffs are useless, in fact... the core of the game is the drive rush and it has the worst in the entire world and the galaxy. Why don't they delete it and that's it? I'm very angry, I'll have to change...

@versatilelord8893 What you are not considering is the fact that she keeps her medals . This means that she will ALWAYS be the best/strongest character in round 3 . She is at her strongest at the clutch moment. I don't think many people realize this. If she can control and slow down the pace of the match she is effectively powering up while your character remains the same. I can see Randum winning tournaments based on this alone.
@@universalman5861 yes but you do realize how difficult it is to land those grabs? In a game where she has the hardest time checking drive rushes and she also has the hardest time placing those grabs
