Haven't seen a lot of her work, but she was pretty & charming. Hollywood was simply crammed with such performers in those years. It was so hard to get ahead. 😪

Love the idea of putting her picture on her checks so noboby else could endorse them. In today's cell phone "snap a picture" at will it is easier to do, but back then it must have been a pain for the banks to make a special template for her.

I've always liked Hyams, she was the most stunningly beautiful actresses of that era and I'm puzzled as to why she never became a bigger star and household name. She certainly had talent, I love her in Jean Harlow's film "Red Headed Woman". Perhaps she just retired too early.
