Derrick Henry is the Lebron James of NFL running backs. For a RB to have one of his best seasons at age 30 is absolutely amazing, and a testament to his dedication and ability.
*The top 4 all time rushers in NFL history are all 5'10" or shorter, 3 are 5'9" or shorter.* Henry is an *anomaly* in terms of his combination of size and even more his longevity given his size and running style There is a study that analyzed 25 years of NFL RB performance, and the ideal size was 5"9", ~200-220 pounds. Think Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Water Payton, Frank Gore as these are the top 4 rushers in terms of yards that have ever played in the NFL and all had long careers.
I agree. I don't do anywhere close to that much work and 3000 is low enough for me not to gain weight. Also, I'm pretty sure he is taller than 6'3 and weighs more than 247. He looks way bigger than 6'3 247 when he's out there on the field.
