When you mentioned that we should have an alliance of people we can call on, the first thing I thought of is when United States Grace Force ( Father Heilman and You!!) said we should also ask a saint of the day to pray the Holy Rosary with us as we prayed the 54 day Rosary daily. On point as usual Doug. Just a question, have you ever thought of having on your site a way us like-minded people can find each other? There are lots of just "preppers" out there but Catholic preppers not so much. And most other Catholics we know think we are wearing "tin hats" and basically have no friends in our area and family are either too far away or again think we have a screw loose. It would be great to be able to go to a site like yours or Grace Force where we could find people in our area we could network with. Thanks for the advice and God bless you and your family

Yes! I know several faithful Catholics who are preparing, but I am sure there are more in my area and we would benefit from this. Doug, I would join your course except I have been preparing for so long I am squared away already on all five things. I just want to help others get ready with the time we have left. I enjoyed visiting with you and Eric G. in western NC several years back when I hosted you here.

Costco has a package deal for food that last 25 years. And the human body can go without food for a long time its water that's the big deal and you don't even need it for cleansing so much, you just need it for drinking at least a gallon or two a day, will do it. so I would be telling people about putting in deep wells on their properties moving out of the Cities Going to the Country getting some chickens because where water flows food grows making a greenhouse. I don't agree with big animals they're too much maintenance but chickens and a greenhouse and a good well that's all you need. Even without the Costco food, rice beans noodles dehydrated Foods dried apricots excetera. Oil salt flour yeast. Peanut butter. Jellies jams can goods. Jarred Goods. There's so many ways to survive. Doug I live on 5 to $10 a day I am land sitting, I make my own bread. All you need is a gallon of water a day, two in the summer. And those bulk supply items, rice beans flour. @Rene Lynch not if you're working on the land to survive. Desk jobs can do with less hydration. Those will dissappear. Plan on a gallon a day per person in your group.

Maureen Sullivan, there is still a lot you can do to help better protect yourself. This is also why I call those of us who are able to prepare better to preparedness because you should have good Catholic men and women ready to protect and support you!

Sadly, many people may be afraid to reach out to you because they don't want to invade your privacy or look like predators. I will pray for you to reach out to the right person. Someone who can check in on you, bring you supplies, ECT.

Let's not forget about people who will or could not physically do this on their own. Medical issues, seniors living alone, etc.. They're usually the forgotten ones. Even to come up with a plan for these people to get themselves set up for when it hits the fan. Blessings Doug.
Well, thanks, but I really don’t expect anyone to bother with me. I’m a senior, live alone, have health issues, no family, only two close friends who don’t live close at all. I could just say to an attacker, “Over my dead body...” in the literal sense.

I agree completely, I live alone in Belfast in the North of Ireland, even attempting to get a hand gun or ammunition will get you locked up for 20 years. I have everything else sorted, except hand to hand contact. I have MS and don't have the strength to defend myself anymore.

I'm basically an orphan. In that all of my family is dead except for one uncle and a few cousins.
I live alone with my dog and if it wasn't for the internet I would go multiple weeks without speaking to another human being.
My biggest obstacle to a healthy relationship with God is that I've never been able to forgive him for creating all the evil that has ever existed.
I'm 40yr. I retired early. It was my main goal growing up.
I know 7 different trades in the home construction business. I was raised in a law enforcement family. I also have experience in farming and small animal breeding. Chickens and bunnies mostly. To save money I would sometimes live in the woods with the homeless population.
With the closing of the bars I'm more isolated than I've ever been. This has been going on for over 2 years now.

I've heard a gallon a day for food and washing. I am no where close to that. I was hoping to gather water this last rain but there were only a few drops here in Northern California.
Hi Kristy, we cover this in our Br Emergency Preparedness Course. At BATTLE READY we recommend prepping in 4 tiers to make it easier. Tier 1 is 3 days, tier 2 is 3 weeks, tier 3 is 3 months and tier 4 is 1+ years. I recommend having the 5 basic needs: shelter, water, food, defense and medical for tier 1 before moving onto tier 2 and so on. You can find more info here if you are interested. I would never talk to someone I don't really know, e.g. neighbors, in such a manner. I would be more subtle, maybe how they are doing now with the restrictions, people losing their jobs, etc. OSPEC always to the extent you can.

Make sure most importantly is making sure you are getting Valid/Licit Sacraments from a true Roman Latin Rite Priest.
V2 and the Novus Ordo is a huge problem...you may not and probably not receiving valid/ licit Sacraments.

Doug, do you think something big is coming? I mean something like on the scale of a Covid 19 Chapter 2? (It doesn't have to be another pandemic, could be anything else)
I think it is HIGHLY possible. I don't like to guess because God is ultimately in control but we should all be prepared - BODY MIND AND SOUL!
Prophecy aside, which there are volumes of prophecy pointing to more thing happing (Biblically, previously approved private revelations, and many current apparitions globally) but from a scientific, analytical point of view, I have been following over 12 metrics for the past three years and I think I can say with some certainty based on what many, many experts are saying that at least three things are coming in 2021. An economic collapse like Germany experienced in 1929, a global famine, and social unrest bordering on civil war in the United States regardless of who is decided to be president.

I talk to a lady the other day. She told me that it is impossible that GOD created human beings and then send him to hell. Her argument was when we die our soul go back in another body, we keep doing that until we learn to do good and become more like GOD, then the process stop and finally we get to spend time in paradise. When i asked her how will one remember what we have done wrong in our past life in other to correct it, she said our spirit will remember. Then i told her that her teorie wasnt in the bible, she said there are many bible version, meaning that mine is not a true version of the bible.
I just stop the argument there and told her i dont beleave her "bible version" either. How do u convince someone like that about the reality of Hell?

If it happens in our lifetime, how do we prepare for the mark of the beast? Can't buy fuel, pay utilities, pay taxes. Property confiscated. I figure I'll starve to death.

You are so wrong. Back in the 40’s a group of very holy Catholics put their money together And bought a large property in the mountains to prepare for the secret and chastisement . They were lovely people and very well meaning with their desire to spread the love of the blessed mother and live in a safe place. Guess what. When they all settled in and established themselves. The large house was broken in two by a massive earthquake. They then decided that this was not what Our Lady wanted So they left and spent the rest of their days spreading the love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. People don't follow doomsdayers. God wants us to live in the world and spread the love to those who don't know him. Don't waste your time living in fear of catastrophes. This is not Gods Will.. I've given you a good example. Don't make the same mistake
I---Be in the state of Sanctifying Grace(confession, prayers...). II--Heal relationships in this world( make amends, forgiveness...). III--Build alliances with other people like minded (preppers..)
IV--Start developing provisions (shelter, water, food, meds, flash light,....). V--Develop specific skills (gardening, nursing, self defense, reading maps,.....)

You have one foot in truth and one in deceit. You should know ephesians and colossians say Jesus the head of the church not the pope. Baptism is merely open symbolic declaration of faith.
Sacraments in Catholicism is ritual sacrificing Jesus over and over in a circle of zeal but they do not preach scripture that says he died once for all sin to those who believe.
