    I don't remember where I read this, but it bears repeating. Rusty Venture makes Alcoholic drinks like a child with access to his father's liquor cabinet without supervision after seeing the wild cocktails of the 60s his father and friends drank but not knowing what the ingredients were, just the colors, so replacing them with things from a child's palette

      That kind of knowledge can only be gathered by living through some of the 80s and the late 90s and early 2000s. I'm lucky enough to have grown up with that era despite not being born in part of two of them. Even though I was born 93' I was blessed with the knowledge of a lot of those references specifically because Doc and Jackson via the venture Bros! Among other media.

    Hold on. I never interpreted Orpheus as having CURSED Action Man in the sense that he caused the stroke. I always thought it was him being petty and 'cursing' Action Man with the KNOWLEDGE of when he would die. Like, for a guy like him, knowing he would die of a stroke in just over two years would probably be a hell of a kick in nuts, but not actually cross the line by standards set around them. Doc O's generally been one of the much more reasonable/polite/good natured cast members of the show.
    Edit: Yeah, they use the word 'predicted' not cursed.

    • @PhallicPhantom2
      @PhallicPhantom2 2 месяца назад

      Originally my first thought was, wow he just predicted when he's going to die and I ended up being correct 😂 I don't know how many people thought he was cursing him, but that would have never been my first guess.

    I've never been able to really grasp the magnificent complexity of the V-Bros until now, but I sure as hell have enjoyed the ~10 episodes I've been able to see over the past ten years.. I want you young people to Know how WEIRD it feels to have my whole life's events crazily parodied as though they are mythology. I'm 80 years old, a lifetime sci fi reader (thus meta-conscious since childhood) and every fucking event in this timeline I have either watched on TV in real time, been present at, or actually participated in. The same thing happened to me during the 3-4 (each) times I've watched the movies Watchmen, Platoon, and Apocalypse Now. It blows my mind when I realize that your generation has made a legend of the contents of my life history. At the time it was actually happening, it didn't seem out of the ordinary at all (well most of it). BUT THAT BLOWS MY MIND TOO!! I was living in a fantasy world and didn't know it!! • @Gantros
    @Gantros Год назад +101

    Probably never gonna happen now, but here's my theory of the overarching plot of the Venture Bros.:
    Jonas Venture Sr. is the ultimate villain of the series. I believe that his super science served only one true purpose, to make himself immortal. Cloning (and the associated consciousness storage), the PROBLEM, Ventronic, everything we know about Jonas' work could be applied to extending one's lifespan. Rusty was a clone of Jonas and left to mature naturally in order to study the long term effects and complications of the cloning process. After regaining consciousness from the PROBLEM, Jonas immediately wanted to be placed in Vendata's body until a new body could be cloned for himself, the Blue Morpho's brain to be unceremoniously discarded in the process.
    The next plot point is that only Malcolm Fitzcarraldo (The Monarch), Dr. Tara Quymn, and Billy Quizboy are the only known biological children of Jonas Venture Sr. via natural conception. Jonas was a notorious womanizer and not only had relations with Mz. Quymn (Tara's mother) and Mrs. Fitzcarraldo, but it is entirely possible the Rose Whalen, aka Triple Threat and former member of the original Team Venture, also slept with Jonas, seeing as that BIlly Quizboy has red hair.
    Finally, all of this would have come to light and the dark truth of the Venture family would be revealed, ultimately resulting not with a happy ending, but some closure for the involved parties to move on with their lives unencumbered by 'the sins of the father'.

    Edit: I personally love the show so much, that being said, I can understand how some people might not be able to get into it, hence I said the show can be pretty polarizing. It’s fairly slow to start and the initial animation might push some people away at the beginning. Additionally a lot of the jokes, tho not all, are based heavily on references that some people might not get, and some people might find crude. Again, I personally love the show and how it developed over time to be such a serialized masterpiece, and I love the jokes and the sometimes crude humor. A+ show, but I’ve tried to show it to some people and they can’t get into it, and that’s fine, I get it, it’s all about preference.

    I still believe Jonas opened the bay doors. I think Vendata called his bluff and played the tape and Jonas out of desperation opened the doors, counting on Team Venture and the P.R.O.B.L.E.M. to bring him back.

      I think it was Bud Manstrong. He probably wandered in and saw the blackmail tape and freaked out, accidentally or purposely opening the bay doors. Would explain his extreme reaction to anything sexual later in life.

    It was found out through the recent Venture Bros movie that Rusty and the Monarch are indeed brothers. However instead of being the son of Blue Morphos wife he is the clone of Jonas Venture just like Rusty is. The monarch was initially born as R22 and was a clone of Jonas Venture which was spliced by baboon dna which gave him the side affect of enhanced anger and aggression thus implying that this is the reason why Malcom hates Rusty due to those same side affects. After the Monarch was cloned he was given to Blue Morpho and his wife as they were unable to conceive and Jonas lied to Blue Morpho that Malcom was his son. Since Rusty was also the clone of Jonas Venture and the original Rusty Venture this makes him and Malcom brothers. In addition we now kind of know who exactly is the mother of Hank and Dean. Also in the recent venture bros movie it was revealed that Hank and Deans mother wasn’t Bobbi but rather it is implied that Bobbi’s daughter Debbie’s eggs were given to Rusty in exchange for her transferring her powers to her daughter thus making Debbie Hank and Deans mother. In addition this makes Bobbi the maternal grandmother of Hank and Dean. Now two theories of the show have been confirmed to be true that being who Hank and Deans mom was and that Rusty and Malcom were brothers.

    Still finding stuff I've missed the many times I've watched them.
    For instance, at JJ's funeral, the captain is singing the Crash Test Dummies song 'Mmm Mmm Mmm'.
    Dr. Venture can't believe JJ requested this. The attorney said yes he requested it. Sing Crash Test Dummies At My Funeral.
    They have a song with that title, At My Funeral. But not being familiar with band's songs, the Captain took it at face value. And sang the other song. 🤣

    So one thing that I didn't see get noted that when Dr. Z and the Blue Morpho, is that he may not have had an encounter with the Blue Morpho, given even Z seems confused as to how Blue did the illusion. But this is an era in which a Shapeshifting Soverign is running around. There is a distinct possibility that recounting was a false flag for reasons unknown by the Sovereign.
    Great dive into the chronology of the series though, and the second youtuber I've seen risk trying a DocTale.

    I can see Hank as Scare Bear, he came during opportune times when Hank would've likely died or not known things. And if their main adventures involve time travelling (which explains why the adults are always so pissed off, I'd be too if my moments of rest were action packed enough to make a show out of) then knowing Hank's rogue-ish nature as he got older he'd likely use it to look out for his younger self since aside from Brock few others really looked out for him.

    i love the huge discrepancy between doc being 44 in 2004 (so born in '60) but a junior (underclassmen is freshmen and sophomore) in 1987, when he is supposedly 27 years old. PERSONALLY i think Jonas cloned Rusty many times. Sure, rusty could just be 27 and still going for his bachelors, but thats not as fun as the horror of him being kept a preteen for extra years. (and yeah, canon just say of his 44th year so it doesnt have to be 2004 buts thats where it lines up)
