@@thecozyhospitalasmr I was lucky enough to keep my ovaries so I didn't have much by the way of a hormone crash. I will say, the recovery sucks but it was 100% worthwhile. Getting up and moving around really helped, even though I could stand up straight for a solid week, and don't push yourself!! Don't lift anything! It's really hard to not do the mom thing because you might feel okay, but it will hurt lol. Take the time to recover, you deserve it. I hope everything goes well for you, I'm an open book if you have other questions! Good luck!! ❤️❤️
I had my ovaries and all removed 3 months ago, at age 32. The first month of recovery was awful, but I am on all three hormones and now feel pretty great, actually. Some doctors try and say you don’t need to take any if you had endo, some say you don’t need progesterone/testosterone because you don’t have a uterus, but you really do, for bone/heart and mental health! My mood is legit better than it was pre surgery, now that I am pretty balanced (.1 estradiol patch twice weekly, 200 mg progesterone nightly, twice weekly testosterone shots in ny belly).
I didn't know the speculum opened THAT wide. No wonder it feels so unpleasant. Watching it here was tingly but the real life experience is anything but. Bravo.
i am… genuinely scared about this. i had no idea what a pap smear would entail until now. i’ve heard that a lot of diseases/cancers/infections are discovered via pap smear that would’ve gone unnoticed before, but i didn’t know how it was actually performed and the speculum part SCARED ME 😭but i guess it’s better to go through that every 3 years than getting cancer or something… still, damn.
@ it’s fairly quick. This video is not a bad reenactment of it. In real life, it might be slightly quicker. It all depends on what the doctor feels/sees and how quickly you can relax. My appointments always run long because I can’t relax fast enough and long enough to allow my doctor to do what they need to do. 😂

A little uncomfy of course but not overly so. Staying relaxed and calm helps a lot and is totally worth it in the long run (but again, experiences depends on the person)
Okay, so real story, I got my first ultrasound ever recently. The thing is, I thought it would be external, but nope- it was internal. I was terrified, uncomfortable, and horribly embarrassed because in that moment, I felt all alone and like I was somehow abnormal. This video seems wild at first, but honestly it makes me feel so much better because it normalizes what I went through. It helps to take the embarrassment away and make me feel stronger for the next time I have to get an ultrasound (let’s hope it’s not for many years!) Thank you so much for this, it truly means so much
@@Skylerrose23 Oh my gosh, I got a transvaginal ultrasound on Friday and I have PCOS and Endometriosis so I get these types of ultrasounds a lot, and oh my, nothing can every prepare me for how much pain it gives me. Just know you are never alone, and it honestly is a very painful and scary ultrasound. BUT I will say Everytime you get it done the pain of the ultrasound is less and less and it'll give to the point where you barely even feel it!!

@@QueenVic_ Yeah, I’m kind of angry they didn’t tell me. When I called my mother and told her she pretty much said that if she’d known, she would’ve flown up to where I go to college to be with me. It just really sucks that I wasn’t able to have my mother there for support when if I’d been told ahead of time, she would’ve been there
The lengths you will go to for the immersion are insane and I love how committed you are to realism. This was so unexpected but we'll done I had to watch it now, instead of waiting till bed time 😂
It's honestly not a big deal, so don't worry about it too much! I've seen some people mention slight discomfort, but personally, I didn't feel a thing, quite literally. I was shocked when my doctor told me she was done hahaha
You'll be fine.😊 Just tell them it's your first and relax. Don't tense up. It should only take a few seconds or so for the physician to do what they need to do.
Ahhh some great replies here. It really doesn’t last that long! And like Iris said, try to relax. One thing I will add is just make sure you pee first! Or if you’re like me, you may need to anxiety pee like 15 times but truly, it goes really fast and the worst of it is what we build up in our minds. You got this!! ❤️❤️
I think men are as anxious when it comes to prostate exams. It could be great and informative to have a prostate POV video to complete this one ! If you are afraid of the comments (as I would understand) you can maybe put a disclaimer at the begining of the video or something like that, but in all honesty, we all know well that this is medicaly oriented and it can help people overcoming some fears. I'm not sure you will be bothered for that. At least, I really do hope so. This one was already a bold move and you handled it like a champ !

I woke up 4 hours later still holding several large scaffolding poles, and it appears that I've built a little higher than I planned to. I'm so far up that my house is about the size of a peanut, and I can clearly read the logo on the side of this passenger jet that just flew by. This is gonna take a while to climb down.

I got my first pap and it hurt so bad I cried. This was years ago. Came back abnormally but I never did it again... very unlikely I will ever.
