Glad to see Doc join the Classified ranks. It's so odd how some gear is really good, some is janky and some are head scratchers. I like the modular vest, but packs don't stay on very well. A side holster for the flare gun would have been the way to go.
Got mine yesterday, the watch is not as red on mine and the glasses suck without the helmet but still a great figure. Keep up the good work, looking forward to more of your reviews
Great review. I was trying to find him in store at Walmart or online at GameStop (no luck for either) the past week. Then today Amazon shipped him unexpectedly and he arrived already. I like him. My stretcher is okay so far.
I've been tazed once. My department didn't require it, but as a chief deputy I felt I couldn't let any of my guys do it, if I didn't. No alligator clips, I got shot with the barbs. I was so surprised with how hard the impact of getting hit was, I didn't notice the shock until the last second or so. Same model as Doc's, the X-26.
I got this one last Monday from an individual seller brand new, love the figure and the character, had lifeline also later. I ordered his Gridiron kit coming also. Funny thing is Amazon said this was delayed till September, it showed up today though 😆 this Will be the one I keep boxed since I opened the other one last Monday. Good stuff Bobby
Yea they could have reused the case for destro and Chuckles and updated it as a medical kit case, simple. Why they didn’t do that for his load out standard made no sense. I gave one of those satchel bags to my customized Carla Greer figure in six inch. Repurposed and painted one of the pegwarming lady Jaye’s for Carla Greer. That’s an easy buck to reporpose and cheap to acquire
@@beesbattlegrounds I was in from the 1990s till 2009, only 1 C.L.S. per fire team. Things may have changed now. We had way too much other gear to carry, with the true infantry load out of weapons and explosives. But yes I guess I can see secondary M.O.S. Hasbro definitely drifts from US military
Hoping these hit stores in a decent Quantities, I don't mind ordering online it's just the wait time. GameStop might be my only hope with 1 to 3 day shipping.
I think basically he looks great. Not keen on the big hole in his plate carrier. I've been looking at a few Etsy stretchers, and Gridirons set as alternate pieces
Got mine a few days ago. Nice figure for the most part, but I just realized he could have been a great deluxe set. How awesome would it have been for him to come with actual medical equipment? Like something you would see in a field hospital.
I would have liked to see his helmet have the Red Cross on it, kinda that classic WW2 helmet homage. The joes be modern with some old school styles so i think it would fit well. Shame about the litter. If i was going to pick him up it would be really for that litter. Might have to go with an after market option.
Nice review! I for one, am not a fan of the chest and all the stuff attached to him. I am sure if we get a retro version it will be closer to the original minus all the padding.
I always loved Doc, I used him a lot of a kid. Like Ratchet, you always needed your medic. But that bulky vest has got to GO. I’m much more into the classic looks over a modern.
Could you not just turn the stretcher over and placed the carried figure on the stretcher and plug it in that figures back? That way the stretcher wouldn’t sag nor would the figure fall off.
They definitely need to just start sculpting the glasses onto the figures. I also feel like the transparent thing they did with Doc glasses looks terrible. They were always solid in the cartoon and comics, so why go transparent now? And if they do normal glasses like for Baroness, don't bother doing lenses at all, just sculpt them on, or if they have to make them a removable accessory make them just frames. The transparent plastic never looks good they just look fogged up. Gettin Doc as soon as I can, but I wish Gridiron would either do a more streamlined version of his Doc Loadout, or just plain drop his prices down a touch.
Kinda lazy re-use and bash with minimal new molds. I don't think they fact check things like the holsters, they don't care. Glasses are translucent, that is kewl.
Dude u have it upside-down 😂 that peg goes in action figure back!❤😂

They really need to do two heads for glasses/no glasses... Rippers Glasses where fine, Buzzers where awful lol.

'Doc' is my Action Force Vanguard Team Medic. 👍
Waiting on rearranging two rooms and getting new display shelves.🤦♂️
Just got him today❤
A first-rate review of Doc and his cool accessories!
Waiting for a sale on this one. He does look great kitted up except the flare gun and no medkit itself.
I saw him today. At gamestop. Might pick him up tomorrow.
Other g.i. Joes you mentioned would be considered combat lifesaver’s. That’s the official term used Infantrymen are given once received training
@Infantry1776 doesn't every soldier gets CLS training? I believe their "secondary" MOS' in the past/other canons are medics

As an O-3, would he be a Medical Services Corps Officer instead of a 68W?
I like him a lot but they really cheaped out on his stretcher 🤔
He is delayed on pulse so I'm with no rush lol!
Nice review🎉🎉🎉
Technically, him and Lifeline are the Joes medics. I wouldn’t even consider the others as medics.
Yeah no one really views the others as medics but they are. Their file cards say so in the descriptions.
That body for the kit Bash is Repeater.
I thought so but couldn't remember, thanks!
Dude I’m with you on the glasses. Figures like Doc and the Dreadnoks are known for the glasses. Needs to be moulded on soI won’t lose them

Gi Joe should do a limited run of Gi Joe figures based on WWI and WWII. Like hasbro did with the adventure series
Waiting game for me.
Lookin like shannon sharp
I wonder if they made him look like Dr. Huxtable on purpose. Surprised they didn't give him a bottle of Quaaludes... just for a dash of realism 😏

@@SaturdayMorningToyCollector you could do that, but it the "up" side has the straps molded in and whatnot

its a pass on him for the glasses reason. just sculpt the glasses already.
Same
Either sculpt the glasses on the head, or give a second head without the glasses. Cheap Hasbro.
Im a lifeline kinda medic
