Really appreciate all your thorough and straightforward video breakdowns. I wanted to upgrade the gear on my Torpedo but was torn between getting the 60th Recon Diver to use on him or get Gridiron's ultimate frogman. Because what you pointed out with the funkiness of the buoyancy vest, the open holes on the backpack, the hoses don't detach from the mask and they limit head movement when they're on, had me pass on this and go Gridiron. Thank you.
I think the black guy head has a slightly broader and rounder nose than the white guy head. And they are both different from Torpedo. But the differences are slight and measured in millimeters. I think digitally they were the same head/face blank that they dropped a different nose on.
Aw shucks man… sorry you felt disappointed in the figure especially for how long ya waited… he’s definitely a cumbersome figure. And honestly I don’t think there was much the Joe team could do. I looked at a lot of diver equipment and it looks very big and bulky. In my opinion I think he’s a really fun figure to have with all the accessories and detail on him.
I am excited about this figure and wave. I like the assortment of accesories. Don't be surprised if we see hasbro repaint this buck a few more times. As a Marine, I would love for them to do any kind of Marine figure, rifle man, sniper, recon. Thank you Bobby.
The big silver orb in the middle of the dive board is supposed to be a compass. A good review, and yes, I ordered two. I’m more excited about the Action Soldier as well.
I just wish they would give us 1 figure in vintage 12” style gear. An old iron pot helmet (they have the tooling, and I don’t think it’s something that can be considered unique to Marvel) And old Garrand. A Mae West.
I want to get 2 of these, but for customs. One to make Soap from the Gulag mission of the OG MW2 and the other to make Trouser Snake from the Robot Chicken Sketch.
Great review. I did get one from Amazon since they were shipping early. I think they should have included torpedo’s mask since the backpack has holes for it. I think this needed one or 2 more items to justify the deluxe price.
Ironically I have this one and the other classic one on preorder for $25.99 bbts and seems like they are going to honor it🤔 Anyways its a nice review but at that deluxe price I'm not army building these im one and done 👍
I haven't added him yet. Initially, I wasn't going to get him. I just didn't think he warranted the deluxe price with all of the reused parts and accessories. I also hate how they gave him a LBV, but no sculpted mag pouches for his rifle. I like the figure a bit more now that I've seen it in reviews, so I'm going to pick it up eventually. It's just not the highest on my list. I'm still on the fence about the Action Soldier.
I mean if we really wanna play semantics ol diver here has fewer, bigger accessories with more paint aps vs Scarlet and her many accessories that are much smaller, it's kind of a moot point comparing them cause you can just see where the effort went.
Did you guys get the preorder w bbts ? Will they fulfill or pass it over for the correct price and leave the mistake po’s forever open? Might just pay reg on the Zon. TY for the review!
Liked him alot more than I thought I would. Annoying that things that should be rubber are hard plastic and vice versa. I think the buoyancy vest would definitely benefit from being rubber as would the molle vest and the diving mask. But it seems to be a "damned if you do; damned if you don't" situation. If you want clear lenses, it's gotta be hard plastic (like the Eel helmet). You want flexible? Well, then forget having clear lenses. And do we really even need the harpoon gun?
Despite not really feeling the aesthetic (there are better realistic soldier figures out there as everyone knows), I ordered these to support the line and keep my collection semi-complete. Looks like this one and most likely the Action Soldier will be staying in their packages.
For Classified being such a fun hands on line it's definitely jarring to have a figure that's more of a pose it and look at it. However by nature unfortunately this was going to happen with a diver like this having the removable gear. Still like him a lot more than Torpedo, honestly don't even need him anymore. Just put the Torpedo head on this one As for the accessory count Scarlett has a lot of reused parts and smaller pieces. Comparing each crossbow bolt to some of the accessories here is a bit unfair in my opinion.
I think an extra mask or longer air tubes would have made this a lot better, and for reuse of retro Scarlett, she's "new" where here we have a whole figure reused with a new head(s) and some web gear
I'm surprisingly not that interested in scuba divers for some reason. as for the price point it makes perfect sense. they know scarlett will sell. plus they get a budet for the line. and they can put more into one figure and less into another. i don't agree with it. but there is a reasoning to it. This figure does have a very classic feel to it for me, but just not that excited for it.
Still buying 3 (1 open, 1 box, 1 trade). While not cannon and questionable for army building, Hasbro and this figure makes an attempt to go outside the comfort zone of the typical completionist and GI joe fan by making this generic figure a homage to the past military lines of toys. Was it a home run? No. More like a single, definitely not a triple nor a double.
2:26 thank you for saying this. These are technically still toys for kids and have to meet the standards as such.

Found the review to be both fair and useful. Thanks.
I love this figure, will buy another.

There has to be/is an Action Marine coming to the 60th "set"

I wonder if the Action Marine will be in green camo? Thanks for the review!

Just got these yesterday for 19.99 a piece.
Where at?
@@evilet1111 half off store. There were only 2. Got a maximum carnage for 15 there as well 2 weeks before

I was on the fence, glad I caught your review. Hopefully the 60th Infantry Soldier will be better.
I have 2 to go with Torpedo. Wish we could remove the vest. I liked all the gear and yea kinda pricey but they are going in the right direction.
A first-rate review of Action Sailor and his cool accessories!
Great review. I did get one from Amazon since they were shipping early. I think they should have included torpedo’s mask since the backpack has holes for it. I think this needed one or 2 more items to justify the deluxe price.
The extra mask would allow more head movement too
You can use hot water and cold water to unbend the plastic
Thank you😺

Anyways its a nice review but at that deluxe price I'm not army building these im one and done 👍
Having him in hand, I actually kinda like him.
He's not bad, but I think the soldier got all the tooling costs etc...
Good stuff man! Finally, new content for me to vulture!
😂😂😂
I can see this being more worth the money once he's a bit cheaper. Though having a Boat to use them with would be a big help too.

Picked up the 60th anniversary Infantry
I don't regret it, the M2 alone was almost worth 😂

It just doesn't feel "deluxe" but we've gotten quite a few like that though so it's nothing new
Hasbro is good at bad reuse lol But this is a figure I got on pre-order don't know something about it got me.

Just got mine, only issue is you can hang his flippers on the back but nowhere to put the mask or hang if off something :(

Can you switch the heads between the eel and the retcon diver ?
Yes
Honestly would have been better as a two pack black and white diver. I would feel better buying it that way.
Despite not really feeling the aesthetic (there are better realistic soldier figures out there as everyone knows), I ordered these to support the line and keep my collection semi-complete. Looks like this one and most likely the Action Soldier will be staying in their packages.
Honestly I’d kill for a kit that sleek. I’m a diver and my kit is about 60 pounds
Dang! 😮
so weird this never came with a hose or two 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah he's kinda underwhelming, I'll probably grab a couple more though for a seal team

A black guy swimming?
