Apple needs to get their act together, and stop releasing buggy software updates, at this point, it’s becoming unacceptable.
Before I jumped iPhone’s wagon, I had Samsung for a decade and never had an update worse than the last one or with such bugs. I can’t remember a “buggy” Samsung software (but the S20 Ultra that took 6 months of updates to work satisfactory and a full year to work as expected. It was the first and last to have such issues).
Now I have my iPhone 15 Pro Max on the 17.3.1 and I’m afraid to update because this one gives me great battery life and no issues that I notice and the previous AND following ones are a piece of cr@ p . I thought the 17.5 would be fixed but…I’ll have to wait for the 18.3.1 … 🧐

@@lp4342I get that but highly agree with the OP. When the highlights of an iOS update are recognizing and fixing bugs for a company the size of apple it gets old. It’s not like they are releasing some game changing cutting edge updates. It’s normal stuff that should be working

Deleted well let’s say “deleted” images coming back after YEARS tells me nothing is ever deleted.
This issue needs its own video as it has massive implications on security and data protection.
It’s massively concerning that deleted images are not deleted but still remain on apple servers.
Seems like a major data leak, which should be reported as such. GDPR et al?
I have never experienced this problem, but I am hearing a lot about it.

Deleted images sometimes are deleted for a reason. Those are the fun ones showing up :D

Apple should face a class action lawsuit for secretly storing users' images. The fact that people are getting back files that were deleted 10 years ago is totally wild. Many users are reporting that they are getting images back that were permanently deleted, and some are finding them on sold devices, which is beyond comprehension. Apple claims that deleted files are stored only for 30 days and are permanently deleted after that, but suddenly getting back old personal images on sold devices means they are still hiding our files while lying through their teeth. This should be the biggest criminal lawsuit. It doesn't matter how fast they fixed the bug; the truth is they lied about deleting files but secretly stored them. Now is the time for them to face the consequences.
Oh, that’s what the title of the video is all about. It’s pretty severe and a major issue.
Definitely the kind of thing that makes you second guess ever buying an Apple product again.

I don’t think that is what is going on. I Believe users are getting photos received in iMessage confused with photos saved to their library. The old photos are resurfacing because the photos app now shows old pictures from ancient cellular texts.
All these kind of bugs this late into iOS 17 do not give me hope for iOS 18.

iOS 16 and 17 have been extremely buggy. iOS 18 might be the same.

For the majority of users there are no issues. Don't forget you're watching a vid here where it's about bugs and people specifically here that are interested in software and describing bugs. For the general normal population of iPhone users it will be hard to find bugs. My 13 Pro is running flawlessly on 17.5 and haven't seen a single issue yet, same with my GF and other members of my friends/family.
This 3 trillion dollar company is doing a swell job! Sue them for a huge amount for the photo issues. With all their cash there's no excuse to F*ck up like that.
Great video thanks, one small thing for me at the moment, for almost a week now my Apple TV won't update the latest update, tries for about 2 minutes and then a message pops up saying unable to update at the moment please try again later. Very strange.
The thing is, no matter what update it is, i never notice changes in battery or performance. iOS is very consistent overall for me and everything works just as new or better in some cases. I wonder why some people face lots of bugs and I don’t! Maybe I am lucky here❤
I think most of the bugs that people get are when using the beta, or of course there’s those that overreact when they notice the smallest thing
Depends if your screen on time remains under 6 hours then you aint gonna see any change in battery.
Microstutters dont affect you I feel, and neither the battery drain.

Nobody has the same exact number of apps and exactly the same data within these apps on each device, out of literally millions of iPhones and models. No operating system can be made to cover every single user but can be made to cover a baseline, and when the operating system has to run anything above the baseline that is why bugs happen. Some bugs can be covered as reported later, but this can cause problems for the functionality in other areas.

my AirPod Pro second generation keeps having trouble connecting. I DK what’s going on. I have to turn Bluetooth off and then back on and then try to connect.

Having Airpods Pro issue with iPhone 15 Pro, 17.5. When listening to music, call comes in- Unable to answer call or hear call on AirPods. Rebooted everything-Reset AirPods and iPhone-unpaired and re-paired. No fix. WiFi drops during different times and locations.
I did not encounter any bugs on iOS 17.5, however, iOS 17.5 does bring better battery health on my iPhone 12

I have not received the message to update to 17.5. I only updated to the beta so would I’d be up-to-date with my out of date.
Whenever I set my phone to light mode my wallpaper paper turns completely negative but when I change it back to dark mode it stays normal and also My wallpaper appears negative briefly before back to normal whenever it awaken in both light mode and dark mode .both Smart invert and classic invert are off .I tried everything I could but still having that issue can you please help me.thanks

Is/Was the deleted photo bug strictly for the Apple Photos or also impacted Google photos on the iphone?
None knows, that's the thing. HIGHLY doubt it got anything to do with Google tho
Since updating I have a location issues with every app which uses my location.

Don’t reset. Won’t solve anything. Did it on 17.4 , 17.4.1 and on 17.5. Did nothing. So please save your energy. Apple needs to fix it.
I still have issue with the weather app widget on Apple Watch. No issue using cellular but it seem related to ether iCloud privacy relay or wifi private address. I have tried to reset all localisation setting with no success.
In other thing, they did it again : all setting are now activated in the localisation menu.
Since I completed the update on my Iphone SE, I have to turn off bluetooth and turn it back on again to get Carplay to connect to my head unit. Sometimes the phone shows as "not connected" sometimes it show "connected" with Carplay greyed out. I have a 2024 Cadillac.
i have battery drain on my iPhone 13 as well as on iPadOS 17.5 on my iPad 9 gen. Hope fix it on iOS/iPadOS 17.5, also my iPhone battery as down 1% from 94% t0 93% with the very same costums of charging day by day
The alarm bug seems to be still there, yesterday I woke up late bc my phone showed as if the alarm had gone off but never actually went off on the audio side.
Did they fix the c to c charging issue yet.

How many iPhones and iPads do you have and which ones
The sleep mode screen is not editable, i was never able to change it.
Sometimes it randomly shows the analog clock + weather combo view, other times it shows the giant 22:31 numbers and i'm unable to choose or switch between them, it's completely random.
Swiping just swipes to other visualizations but not between those two as they are mutually exclusive and i can't choose or configure.
I updated on 13 pro max and I can confirm that this is the best update since the launch. The phone feels so smooth and fluid now. The battery performance increases
Same on my 13Pro! Finally my bug with the camera is fixed and battery life is improved

Question I have is how do photos that have been deleted years ago reappear. Does that mean that apple actually keeps all of your deleted photo and they never go away
I am still get poor battery life with my iPhone pro max 15 and watch 9 44mm with the last two updates… My watch used only use 20% to 25% with a 12 hour work day. I am putting it on the charger at 55% to 60%. Both devices have 100% capacity.

And what’s the point of having 65 or 35% charge left at the end of the day? The battery did exactly what it is suppose to do. Getting you comfortably through the day.
Besides: battery life is totally individual connected to the personal settings. How often are you letting your iPhone checking for Mails? Auto update on how many apps and how often? Once an hour is more than enough for mails. And I have most app updates deactivated. I check when I want to, manually. Get over yourself. The se the device for what it is intended. And stop about complaining about terrible battery life. It has gotten totally out of hand.
Keep your devices clean and tidy, just like your house, car, fridge. And when it gets through through a whole day, with a 50% charge left, there is abso-effing-bloody-lutely nothing Wong with your phone!

I love my Apple Watch 9 but I wear a Redmi Watch 4 most of the time. The battery on the RW4 lasts me 20 days…. I quite literally forget about it or charging it… Ofc the Apple Watch is way smarter but the RW does what I need it to do…. And for 100$ I don’t care about it that much so I do whatever I want with the watch….

Bru, take a chill pill! I am just making a comment that with past two up dates. My watch and phone battery life has gone down… I have everything that can have turned off make the battery last longer and still be usable. Take that for what it is…

I had issues with my Bluetooth connection. The Bluetooth option would flicker on, off and unavailable throughout most of the day and the iMessage outage this past week. Not sure if anyone had the same issues. Had to reset my network settings to get everything back to normal.
Standbuy bug is still not fixed in 17.5.. can't change any of the colours of albums :(
I stay on 17.4.1, the performance, battery and heating are better than 17.5

Just stay there. 15 pro here and battery life sucks and the phone easily gets hot than 17.4.1 for me.

My 14 pro max has been dropping calls or simply not connecting since the update to 17.5
I’ve gone from having no alarms (iPhone13 and Apple Watch s9). Only alarm that worked was on my HomePods. Nkw after the update my HomePod (original HomePod and mini) are phantom talking (with phrase such as hmmm let me check or I don’t know how to respond to that) and my Apple Watch alarm now wakes me but still alarm on iPhone. I’ve also noted since the update to 17.5 that the wifi / cellular just stops randomly even though it appears I have good signal.
My 15 pro max is and always as been great battery and bug wise. I get an occasional bug but nothing major.
I used to have issue with cellular, it went to 2G and refused to connect to 4G, but it was fixed for a long time, I have experienced it 2-3 times already since the update.

Just some tips here. I did a fresh install of IOS 17.5 through iTunes and did an iCloud restore. I know not everyone has the ability to do this. But I’m doing great iPhone 15PM. 5:50 and only used 32% of my battery. That’s with heavy use TikTok, RUclips, calls and messages. Before that I just did the OTA and battery was terrible
I had some problems with connection with wifi, the signal got lost and I have to turn off and on again to get the signal back, but that’s not specific to 17.5, it happed before this update.
Having some bluetooth issues too. Airpods pro and max alternating, through mac, phone etc and dropping and I have to forget device. Not sure if ios thing but something to notice.
Does anyone know why Amazon hasn’t released that many m4 pro cases but they have scores of the new air cases? I have never had an issue getting cases for my ipads but it seems like they didn’t care about the pros this around
apple wallet double tap side button not working. Is it working for others?
My Apple TV is now playing up, it downloads the update TVos17.5 but always failed to install, now my apple tv is always install and uninstall apps like netflix, amazon, paramount and disney as soon as i start it. And when it installed my netflix it display theres an Error geez whats goin on with this update its the worst update its sooo annoying😢😢😢
I have noticed it takes 20-30 seconds for my iPad mini 5 to “accept” the charger & start charging since updating to iOS 17.5. I’ve tried multiple chargers, same experience.

I faced a bug yesterday, I got a call and couldn't slide to pick it up. The screen responded after the call automatically disconnected after full ring.
For me battery life has been ok but not as good as I was expecting and my phone does start to get a little bit hot when I am using it outside
this is probably the worst update ever i've never seen so many bugs in one update, also i have a bug where sometimes when someone calls me while my phone is locked all i see is my wallpaper and i cant even turn off the screen or do anything until the call declines or whatever
17.5 really borked iMessage for me. Texts with androids goes through fine, but about half of my iMessages get stuck on delivered but they never actually go through. And the alarm bug is super annoying, when it goes off it is silent but on the alarm screen? I’m using my old android phone as an alarm clock now. Doesn’t give me high hopes for iOS 18 at all. 😢

Really, on my Ultra it is become much better. My watch use 30% ess battery now, it can hold 2-3 days again like when it was new.
Yeah my battery has been noticeably worse since the update. I kept thinking to myself “am I doing something new? Did I turn something on by accident?”
The bug of old images showing up on wiped iPhones is actually worst than I thought because even if we say “that’s because a file is never deleted, it just gets overwritten” the thing is , the file that was deleted was in theory encrypted with a key that gets reset when you wipe your device… how come can the new key see the decrypted old image !? Was it never encrypted to begin with? Is the key device-specific and never updated ?

I have issues with my battery life at my 14 pro max… draining to 20% in the afternoon that before it will long 24hrs plus…
Some of my Bluetooth devices won’t connect. Some of them connect under a new name, which prevents them from connecting to the correct one. It doesn’t work through whatever the new auto-generated connection is either. Also dropping a ton once it does connect, which requires forgetting the new connection and hoping it doesn’t regenerate when hooking up again, which is 50-50. What a mess
Now having trouble with EarPods connecting to a call again since the update. I have to press audio on the fone then speaker then EarPods before they connect. 1 step forward 2 steps back.😡

It does get warmer than usual but not bad
When l scroll down the phone will sometimes immediately scroll back to the top on its own. Apple care can't figure it out.

Oh wow I thought my carrier was having issues. Nothing would load only fix was to reboot the phone. Airplane mode didn’t work.
I think that with iOS 17.6 Beta 1, it should have some of those accessibility features…instead of the typical “New Emoji yay! New Modem yay!” update we usually get.

App Tracking is working. It wasn’t working for a few days til until checked again this morning. Now it is working just fine. Weird how that happened.

I just updated my IPhone 12 to IOS 17.5 and I didn’t get the photo app bug. My photo app is working just fine. Maybe Apple fixed it. I’m not so sure.
Hello Aaron, it was also a big issue with my carrier yesterday with inclued the hole country( Norway ). It is not ok today so we have to wait and see. It is a big problem, but the carrier says they will try to fix it trough the following days. 6:10
I have big gps issues from version 17.4 and in this version they are still here. 😢
